You sent me pictures and updates on her stay with you and were very attentive to replying to me if I checked in. Thank you again Ethan and Rosie will be back for sure!”

About: I have loved and taken care of animals since age 10 - when I welcomed my first bunny for my 10th birthday. Since then I have also taken care of hamsters, birds, dogs, and cats. I am an expert in providing an environment where they can be comfortable and profusely loved, but I do not forget firm discipline where necessary. I am fully available on weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting but I do require at least a 2-day notice. Additionally, I am available for walks and drop-ins all weekday evenings, anytime after 7 PM. At my client's home I have the best practices of pet- and property-handling honed down, which will keep both the client's pet(s) and property (as well as myself) safe and happy at all times. I trust that I will be provided with all the information I need to satisfy any expectations from my hosts during my visits. At my own home, I have two cats, but I have enough space and accommodations to keep my client's pet(s) separated and happy as necessary.
“Danielle is fabulous! We were nervous about leaving our puppy with someone in our home who we didn't know. Danielle took very good care of our girl, even gave her a bath when she got dirty! We really appreciated the photos and updates. We will 100% book with Danielle again!”

“Natalie was Great! She was super responsive to our messages before and during pet sitting. Sent us great updates and the cutest pet news flash at the end to sum up Chief's time! SO CUTE!! Also, she is the only person who has managed to break through Chief's skeptical exterior, and he seemed to really like her! She's definitely got a magic about her! Thank you again Natalie!”

“Hannah was lovely, she arrived on time and took great care of Patty. She kept me updated and left everything super tidy, too. Patty had a lovely day and walk with Hannah and we would definitely use her services again.”

About: Hi! I’m a compassionate and reliable pet caregiver with hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and needs. My background includes looking after a young small dog while providing care for a senior citizen, which involved daily walks, feeding, bathing, and keeping the space clean by managing pee pads. Most recently, I worked as an in-home dog caregiver for two medium-sized dogs ages 1 and 3 . I was responsible for walking them multiple times a day, maintaining their feeding schedule, giving them plenty of attention and playtime, and ensuring the home stayed safe and secure while the owners were on vacation. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and take pride in providing safe, attentive, and loving care—whether that means going on long walks, sticking to a feeding routine, or simply keeping pets company while their humans are away. Your pets will be treated like family with me! I’m available for dog walks 4–7 PM on weekdays and have open availability on weekends. I’m also able to provide extended in-home care when needed. I offer a safe, comfortable home for small to medium dogs, with parks nearby for walks. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Angus
I'm a 7.5 year old Labradoodle. My parents hired Danielle to stay at our house with me, while they were out of town. I had a great time with Danielle, she took me for walks, showed me a ton of attention and made sure that I ate enough food, even though I am very picky. Looking forward to seeing Danielle again! - Cooper

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Angus maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Angus walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Angus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
