I warned her about Tucker's unpredictable behaviour with strangers when I'm not around and filled her in on the warning signs that Tucker might get feisty. Sheila made sure she had all of the information she needed with regards to caring for Tucker and in case of emergency. I got my own dog as a puppy 5 years ago and did her training. I also got a kitten last year. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have always been a huge animal lover. I’ve had dogs of my own for many years, and I’ve always felt that animals have their own personalities, quirks and needs. I really enjoy getting to know them and figuring out what makes them comfortable and happy. I currently have two large, reactive dogs of my own, so I know firsthand that not every dog is comfortable around other dogs or enjoys the typical busy dog-walking environment. Living with reactive dogs has taught me a lot about patience, reading body language, managing triggers and, most importantly, giving dogs the space they need to feel safe and relaxed. I’ve also been involved in fostering dogs through a rescue in Thailand. Being part of their journey and helping dogs who have had difficult starts in life has made me even more passionate about animal welfare and giving dogs the patience, understanding and care they deserve. I’m starting my dog-walking service because I genuinely love spending time with dogs and thought it would be a great way to do something I enjoy while helping other dog owners in my community. I’m new to offering dog walking professionally, but I bring a lifetime of experience as a dog owner, experience with reactive dogs and rescue dogs, and a very caring and responsible approach. My walks are 30 minutes and are one-on-one, so your dog gets my full attention. Even though my formal pet - sitting experience is just one year, my passion for dogs drives me to offer the best care, including walking, feeding, and lots of cuddles. Since I'm retired, my daily routine is flexible and centered around doggies care. Throughout the day, I make sure to have regular interactions. I'm available 7 days a week. At my home, safety is my top priority. The fenced - in backyard prevents any chance of escape, creating a secure play area. I regularly check for any potential hazards. Inside, I keep a clean and pet - friendly environment, free from toxic substances. I also have a well - maintained dog crate for times when your pet needs a safe, cozy space. And my two friendly dogs are great companions.

About: We have a very friendly Maltipoo and Cavapoo at home who would love to meet new friends. We have the time and space, and want to devote my love and affection towards your puppy. We have a fairly flexible schedule and work from home for most of the week. Let me know what you are looking for and we can work around your schedule. We have a lots of space my home to accommodate creates and/or bed to keep your puppy comfortable. There are lots of parks and trails nearby and a nice trail in the backyard for quick bathroom breaks and fresh air. There are small children in the house I currently work from home with lots of flexibility, so I can always be attentive to your pup and their needs. Depending on your pups energy level, we can exercise them multiple times during the day. I am available most days of the week; just message me more about the availability! There are many trails and parks around us that will allow your pup to get plenty of exercise. There are no children in the house. Your pup is free to roam around, but we can also take their create if it makes them feel safer and more at home.

About: I grew up with various pets and have always loved animals. I was trusted to walk and feed neighborhood dogs on numerous occasions. My family dog lived 13 years and our cat lived 20. I got my own dog as a puppy 5 years ago and did her training. I also got a kitten last year. I am currently working at home full time I have my own business and have a pretty flexible schedule for morning or afternoon pet care throughout the week I live in a quiet street with lots of green space and parks and trails close by. My dog is friendly and always loves a friend to play with. I also have a crate and baby gate if needed.

“Our yellow lab Hannah had only stayed with family before we found out about DogVaycay. To be honest we were a bit nervous. We arranged for a meet and greet with Megan and Robert after just getting a good feeling about their profile. They replied immediately and were flexible to meet with our schedule. They house was very clean and very dog friendly (mats on hardwood floors to help prevent wipeouts of running dogs and a tidy area of dog beds and toys). They have two of their own very easy going dogs and also had two younger pups they were taking care of. Hannah seemed to feel so comfortable immediately and so did we. They have a great set up. Robert works from home and they have a fenced in backyard that was also very clean. Their basement works as an indoor play area in bad weather. They asked questions about any medication Hannah was on and if she had dietary restrictions, if she was okay to have treats, sleep in bed, or if she needed spring water only. They thought of things we never would've. We could tell the dogs in their care were treated the same as their own dogs. We saw a few other DogVaycay places, and although Megan and Robert were furthest from our house, we felt like they were the best choice and we were right! They sent pictures and notes and we had no worries while in Europe, we knew our pup was in good hands. I would highly recommend these dog lovers for whenever your dog needs a home away from home!!”
