“We had a great experience with Hao and his family. My dog wasn’t feeling well at the beginning of his stay, and they were so patient and attentive with him. Thanks to the care he received, he bounced back quickly and we were able to relax on our trip without worrying. My dog seemed comfortable the entire time, and it was clear he was in good hands. You can tell Hao and his family genuinely care. I definitely recommend them.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the best Rover ever! She was incredibly attentive to my eight-month-old kitten and eight-year-old Chihuahua. My dog and cat are both thriving with her cats. She keeps us updated with lots of pictures and videos daily. My cat even has her own cozy room. Highly recommend!”

I work from home, so your dog will enjoy constant companionship throughout the day, along with walks tailored to their individual needs. Whether it’s caring for playful puppies or gentle senior dogs, I’m experienced with all stages of life. I live in a house with a yard and two dogs of my own. I only take one dog (or two from same household) at a time so it’s not too much excitement. Or I’ll come to your home as needed!

“After our regular sitter became unexpectedly unavailable, we tried the Rover app for the first time and are beyond grateful for having come across John & Lisa. From initial contact, they were incredibly responsive, communicative and wonderful to deal with. We felt comfortable even before dropping Bella off and confident she was going to be in good hands. Bella is quite timid at first but through the photos/messages we were regularly provided, it was clear that she felt safe and warmed up quickly. So much so that we’re convinced Bella was a little depressed after we picked her up lol John/Lisa - thank you both so much for making our first Rover experience a pleasant one and for taking such great care of our fur baby. We will undoubtedly be booking with you both again!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Lucy taking care of my dog Rufus over the weekend. From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Rufus came back home happy and relaxed, which says everything about the care and attention he received. Lucy kept me at ease and made sure Rufus was comfortable and well looked after the entire time. I truly appreciate her dedication and warmth. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pet. I will definitely reach out to her again in the future.”

“Bella had a great time at Yana's. Yana was patient and created a loving and caring environment for Bella, even when adjustment to a new place was tricky fur Bella. Thanks Yana!”

“Megan and Rob helped our pup feel completely at home for her week stay! We loved the updates they sent as well. She came home as her regular self, refreshed from a relaxing yet fun doggie vacation. We are so happy to have been referred to Megan and Rob and will definitely book with them often!”

“Yuki had a wonderful stay with Mabel! This was her first time being away from us, and Mabel was so kind and patient in helping her settle in and gradually warm up to both her and the other pups. We really appreciated the thoughtful updates, photos, and videos too. It was so reassuring to see Yuki feeling more comfortable each day.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Eddie! He was incredibly caring, reliable, and attentive to every detail. We received regular updates, photos, and videos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Our pet Luna was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. We would absolutely recommend his services and will definitely book again in the future!”

About: As a first time dog parent, I chose doberman. I am confident to say that I can take care of any types of dog, as dobie is the 2nd greatest challenge breed. Not to mention their weak tricky gastric system, and also their delicate skin. I make sure she eat right each day, giving appropriate nutrients from the food. I cook fresh fish for breakfast with veggies. Fruits/egg yolks for afternoon snacks. I will make sure your pet get the same. Also I pet sitted a senior boxer in the past. I have quite flexible work schedule, and I stay home most of time. I walk my dog at least 2 times a day for 40 minutes each walk. I live in a house with a fenced backyard. My dog is very friendly and she will keep your pet as a company. Your pet will be surrounded by happy, warm and love energy.
“We were very comfortable leaving Our Cady with The Ladies, as usual. Their place is like home away from home for our picky little pup. Many thanks for keeping us worry-free while we are separated from each other, we appreciate both of you and your efforts. ❤️😘”

“I’m so grateful for the wonderful care Li provided for Jelly. She is experienced, attentive, and genuinely cares about Jelly. She kept me updated with many photos and videos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was traveling. I could relax knowing my dog was in such loving and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I've been retired for a year and have a deep - seated love for dogs. I now have ample free time to take care of them. My home features a large, enclosed backyard, providing a safe and spacious area for dogs to play and exercise. Even though my formal pet - sitting experience is just one year, my passion for dogs drives me to offer the best care, including walking, feeding, and lots of cuddles. Since I'm retired, my daily routine is flexible and centered around doggies care. Throughout the day, I make sure to have regular interactions. I'm available 7 days a week. At my home, safety is my top priority. The fenced - in backyard prevents any chance of escape, creating a secure play area. I regularly check for any potential hazards. Inside, I keep a clean and pet - friendly environment, free from toxic substances. I also have a well - maintained dog crate for times when your pet needs a safe, cozy space. And my two friendly dogs are great companions.

“Wonderful sitters! I highly recommend. They managed my dog's shy temperament with such grace. They are extremely communicative during booking and my dog's stay. Teddy was so happy in every photo and took the longest nap on the ride home which tells me he had a great time ! I would definitely rebook! ❤️”

“Our girl has never been left with anyone but my brother before this 2 week vacation and she's been with us for 5 years! Finding Stuart on Rover seemed to good to be true, but Stuart and his wife exceeded our hopes for having the best care possible for our girl. Stuart's connection and genuine care for our dog was instantaneous and obvious. Stuart's extensive experience with dogs results in his calm, accurate understanding of a dog's individual personality. Our girl connected with Stuart immediately. Her positive reaction confirmed my own confidence in Stuart's ability to care for her. Stuart and his wife provided a warm, comfortable, welcoming home where our dog was happy and healthy. All our dog's needs were met and then some: walks, food, play, comfort and companionship. This was clear from the start and was confirmed when we returned to pick up our girl who was calm and had no anxiety at all after spending 2 weeks in the incredible care of Stuart and his wife!”

Christine was great with my dog! My dog is on a special diet, and Christine was very careful and responsible about following all my instructions. She got along with my dog really well, and I’m so happy I finally found someone I feel comfortable trusting with her. Highly recommend Christine!

Simone did an excellent job sitting my dog, she updated me several times a day while I was on vacation and was as friendly as possible with my not-too-social dog. I highly recommend her if you need an above and beyond dog care. Will definitely use her services in the future.

Milo stayed with Carole and Kevin for one night, and they made his first visit feel effortless. He settled in right away thanks to their warm, welcoming environment. Carole kept us updated frequently, so we never had to worry about how he was doing. Milo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly comfortable. We’re grateful for their care and would absolutely book with them again.

Devi was amazing with Sable. We had regular updates and Sable looked happy. We were able to relax and enjoyed our time away stress free cause our boy was well cared for. Thanks Devi. We were late picking Sable up due to traffic and Devi was understanding and super accommodating. Highly recommended.
My little bichon has just come home from her stay with Despina. For the first two hours, she napped - very unusual for her, since she usually guards her home from any person or evil delivery van on the street. Then she had her supper and started teasing me. She is a very happy girl and obviously had a good time. Thank you, Despina, for taking such good care of my little one.
Such an amazing family! Vivian, her husband, and their two gorgeous cats were wonderful hosts for my active, playful, and attached cat. They are very professional and responsible. I received plenty of photos and videos throughout the day and was kept updated all the time. They spent a lot of time with him and allowed him to explore the main floor freely once he became familiar with them. Their well-equipped basement was like a cheerful playground for him, and of course, he was always under their supervision through security cameras. Their two cats were very nice and friendly, which helped create a respectful relationship with my boy. From now on, I can plan more trips with peace of mind. I definitely recommend them!

Lisa was above and beyond boarding our cat! She was genuine, thoughtful, loving and playful with him! She was an excellent communicator sending us videos and photos each day of their activities. We were shocked at how quickly our cat adapted to her home and that’s all because of how much Lisa cares about her animals and the time she spends with them!

Misty thoroughly enjoyed her one week stay with Steve and his family! Misty was well taken care of. Steve made sure Misty was kept very busy, active, and stimulated, which was very important to me because Misty is a high-energy dog. I highly recommend Steve for taking care of your fur babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
