“Sofia did a very good job looking after my two cats. She was very responsible, trustworthy and competent. My cats are older, which means that they need a little extra care with medications. I would not hesitate to book her services again in the future.”

About: I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable and happy while they’re in my care! I know every pet has their own routine and little things that make them feel at ease, so I’ll always take the time to learn what works best for them. Whether your pet loves going on walks, playing, getting attention, or just having someone around, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away! I have a flexible summer schedule, so I’m able to spend lots of time with the pets I care for! I’m happy to provide them with attention, playtime, walks, and lots of company while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and cared for while you have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands! I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet and your home in someone else’s care. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, whether that includes feeding, walks, medications, or anything else your pet needs. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would want for my own and will send updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away!
“From the get-go Deborah has given me the impression that she wanted to go well above her calling and wants to ensure that her visits are not only to get the job done, but to provide as much fun and physical activity as possible for my pup in times when I’m away. She’s definitely an animal lover and made me feel extremely confident that I’m leaving my dog in great hands. I would highly recommend Deborah if you are looking for not only a walker, but a friend for your best friend!”

“Lisa has been wonderful with my cat Alexa. This was the 2nd time Lisa helping me take care of Alexa, and Alexa, usually shy, has recognized Lisa as a friend, and been really close to her. Thanks Lisa!”

“I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Melanie! This was our first time using Rover for our two cats, and naturally we were a little hesitant but she completely put all of our worries to rest. Melanie was incredibly responsive, communicative, and consistently gave us total peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats is extremely picky and can be a bit particular with new people, but he warmed up to her right away which says everything. It’s so clear that she’s experienced, patient, and genuinely cares. She treated our cats like they were her own, and that meant the world to us. If you’re looking for someone you can fully trust with your pets, you truly don’t need to look any further. Your furry family members will be in the best hands with her.”

“Cheryll is so kind and loving. She sends us photos at each visit. We feel so comfortable leaving Monkey in Cheryll's care. I would definitely recommend Cheryll to anyone looking for pet care”

“Yujie was fantastic and we are so thankful to her for checking in on Kit for us! Kit is very shy but she was out and about with Yujie. Will definitely book with her again.”

About: Growing up with a family of dogs, I've been caring for dogs from a young age, helping with tasks like walking and house sitting. Along with working at a dog groomers for washing and drying dogs. Not only that, but getting a dog of my own has definitely taught me a lot about responsible pet care! As being done with schooling, this is one of my full time jobs and currently have no prior commitments so I'm happy to work around your schedule! Unfortunately, I cannot provide cat care due to allergies. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR through the Red Cross, and I have hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Through my time of working with a variety of dogs, it has taught me to respect each pet's boundaries and care for them as if they were my own! They are more than just a pet, they're apart of the family!
“Fantastic sitter. My cat is not the friendliest toward new people but Melanie was able to come in and earn his trust and even brought him treats. Will book again in future. :)”

Sofia always makes my trips stress-free because I know my boys are in the best hands. She genuinely cares for them, treats them like her own, and always makes sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they’re with someone who loves and cares for them as much as I do. My dogs are always excited to see her, and I couldn’t recommend Sofia more highly to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter.

We can't express enough for Anthony took care of Rockie when we were on vacation. It was the first time Rockie was away from us. He is 8 yrs old St Bernard. We were really worried at the beginning. Anthony dropped in on time every day. He fed and walked Rockie and sent us pictures and videos every day. Rockie likes him and we feel he did not miss us at all LOL. We had a great vacation all because of Anthony's help. Really appreciated! If anyone needs drop in visit or even just walking for their pets, we do strongly recommend Anthony.
Laura was amazing. Very attentive to our cat and treated him like family. Mikko is a shy boy but he opened up to her right away. Laura provide great feedback and took excellent photos. We felt at ease with Laura watching our boy. Will definitely be using Laura again when we go out of town. Thanks again!

Ariel is wonderful! Our shepherd pup Gus can be a bit aloof and unsure of new people but he has warmed to Ariel quickly and has a blast when she stops in for his pee & plays whilst we are at work! She’s great at following specific schedule needs and is considerate of our home too 💕 Would highly recommend

John has looked after our 2 dogs once so far but we will book with him again! He was very communicative and sent a bunch of photos and a video which showed that our dogs were very happy to spend time with him. Everything was great! He's very knowledgable about dogs and we trust him to look after our dogs.

There are 6,431 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Newmarket. About 86% of Newmarket sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Newmarket stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Newmarket choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
