“I hired Alexandra to watch my two cats while away on vacation. She quickly put my mind at ease with her detailed descriptions of her two daily visits. Alexandra took the time to tell me how both cats were feeling/ acting and what exactly she did with them. She was always puntual and sometimes spent extra time with them. My cats are my little family and it was so nice to not have to worry about them and just relax and enjoy my time away. Alexandra is a lovely, caring and responsible person. I will not hesitate to hire her again and highly recommend her.”

“Wendy is such a sweet, caring and genuine person and sitter. Not only did she accommodate a last minute request during the holidays but she took fantastic care of my cat with lots of updates and pictures - including my new favourite pic of my cat. This is my very first time booking a pet sitter which I was very anxious about and wendy made it was such a positive experience I was comfortable trusting her with my precious cat. Thank you Wendy!! I really appreciate all your flexibility and amazing care.”

“We had a great experience with Stacey. Easy communication, showed up the same time each day, sent plenty of photos and updates. Cats loved the company and pets. She even brought packages into the house for us without asking. Will definitely use Stacey again in the future!”

“First time leaving Nefertiti alone for more than a day and she couldn't be in better care than with Sandie. Sandie sent multiple photo and video updates during each visit and I can tell Nefertiti was comfortable under her care. Thanks again Sandie.”

About: I have taken care of many friend's dogs, from a boisterous German Shepherd puppy to an aged 10 year old chihuahua. I also have experience caring for abandoned dogs of many temperaments in a shelter for about 9 months through cleaning kennels, feeding dogs, playing with them, walking them, handling them, showing them off for adoption. I am currently a student on summer break working part time for about three to four days a week. My flexible work schedule gives me free time, which I would love to spend caring for your pets. I am happy to discuss specific times and dates for availability. I am currently renting my accommodation and am unable to care for pets at my residence. Therefore I will be available to care for pets at the owner's home instead.
“I would recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, and caring cat sitter. Michelle looked after my cat for three weeks while I was away and did an outstanding job. She is very responsive (usually responds within minutes), punctual, as well as personable and a great communicator. She put my mind at ease with daily photos and let me know when I received notices from building management. When a heat wave started in Toronto, she checked in about additional ways to keep the kitty cool. I came home to a happy and relaxed cat!”

“For my first experience with Rover and a pet sitter it was stress free. With daily updates and photos of my girl I was able to enjoy my time away and know kitty cat was in good hands. Thank you Charlotte for taking amazing care of my girl!! I will definitely reach out again the next time I travel.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for just about half my life, since I was 15 years old! I still care for my senior dog and have learnt so much as we’ve grown together over the years. She is still strong and energetic, and will be around for a long time to keep your pups company during their stays! I have also had experience sitting for others. I have experience with dogs at different age-stages, experience administering medication, caring for a sick pup, and senior care. I work part-time from home, so will be able to dedicate a lot of time and attention to your fur baby! I am also a home-body, so can provide continuous care with little-to-no time away. I have a small 15-year old fur baby myself, who will probably provide more fun company than I can! She is still playful in her seniority, and grew up with a sibling who kept her on her toes for most of her life. She will be a wonderful playmate for your small doggos. Our neighbourhood is safe, relatively quiet, and near a park. I am very vigilant while on walks and in parks, so safety is always a priority.
About: When I was 13 years old I’ve taken care of dogs other than my own. I always loved the idea of spending time with dogs because they also make me happy and excited. I work part time and hybrid so having to dog walk would also help me get my steps in and be happy about taking care of animals! I feed them with good food, walk them at least an hour every day (when my schedule was still spacious), keeping a clean environment for them, engaging with them and not leaving them for a long time, keeping them away from dust, and I just love them like a family.
“Alicia took great care of our cat while we were away. She was very reliable, did everything we requested and kept us updated on her visits daily. We would highly recommend Alicia.”

“Eleanor is amazing with Nevi! She’s attentive, kind, and treats Nevi just like we do. Her communication is great, and she follows our training plan to keep things consistent. We highly recommend Eleanor — it’s clear she truly cares about animals!”

About: We have lots of experience with babysitting our friends dogs (sometimes for 1 week+) and before we get our own we wanted to try out Rover! My husband had a dog growing up and I am very responsible so if you want a type A girlie watching your pup or cat - I’m the one! My schedule is very flexible and so is my husbands. We would work home most days with flexible work schedules and weekends free. Always willing to move schedules around to watch your fur baby! I have a fenced in yard, small but lots of parks nearby so we would mostly be taking your pup for walks! Very safe neighbourhood in Woodbine Gardens. House is already cat and dog proof. Our kitty will be at grandmas while we board your fur baby :)
About: Since a kid I’ve had many pets in my life, they have a special place in my heart. I have over 10 years of personal pet ownership, and currently have a 2 cats. I have over 4 years of experience fostering complex medical needs from puppies, older dogs and kittens. I’ve fostered complex medical care animals for over 7 years. From bottle feeding new born kittens, to a palliative care dog to a blind bearded dragon! I’m comfortable with young, full of energy puppies/kitten to a senior who just wants to snooze. I’m experienced with medically complex pets who need some extra TLC, medication, and patience. I also have experience handling small mammals, birds and reptiles so exotics are also welcomed 😊 I am quite flexible! I can adjust for early mornings, late at night or somewhere in between. I am happy to provide a one time service or something ongoing. Your pet will be my centre, and I ensure that whatever routine they need will be followed to keep anxiety low and comfort high. If they need a bit of decompression, I’ll keep my eye on them but leave space. If they need to be Velcroed to me, I’ll be clinging next to them. I want their experience with me to best match what they are use to. I’m comfortable adjusting approaches as needed and think flexibly in my care is key! I want to work with you to ensure your pet builds trust with me as well as you.

“Sydney was lovely to work with again (this was the second time she cared for my cats while I was away, but I forgot to leave feedback last time). She arrived when she said she would, sent updates, and asked questions when needed. I will book her again next time I am in need!”

Rebeca was absolutely wonderful with Juno! She has such a calm and reassuring presence and really knows how to work with reactive dogs, which made me feel completely at ease. She was super responsive throughout and sent frequent updates, which I really appreciated. Juno seemed so calm and comfortable with her and had a lovely, relaxing time. I’d definitely trust Rebeca with Juno again and highly recommend her! 🐾💕🤗🥰

Clara took such great care of Hank, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the start, I felt completely comfortable trusting her with him. She provided thoughtful updates, detailed notes, and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Hank was well cared for and in great hands. Clara was reliable, communicative, and genuinely cared about his well-being. We are so grateful for the care she provided and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future. I would recommend Clara to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Daniela was amazing with Koda. Her communication throughout was excellent, and she sent so many updates, pictures, and videos which gave us so much peace of mind. Koda was so well looked after and we will absolutely be booking with Daniela again. highly recommend!

Sarah is the best person who has ever cared for my dog. I'm using another Rover sitter in another city who also had 5 stars and they are so much worse than Sarah that I was motivated to come back and leave a review. Sarah is an outstanding communicator who pays close attention to the animal's behavior. I can't recommend her highly enough.

We are so fussy about who takes care of our sweet Fable, she's the centre of our universe and we RARELY leave her with others. Maddie instantly made us realise that our girl was in amazing hands, and we are SO grateful. She was so kind to our silly, stubborn 13 year old golden retriever and it was clear from the daily pics that Fable was having the best time. We can't wait for Maddie to hang out with Fable again ASAP.

Laura was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she gave to Morty. She was also extremely flexible and accommodating, which made coordinating everything so easy and stress-free. It’s such a relief to know that when I’m away, Morty is in such capable and caring hands. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely great dog sitter. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch Morty again!

Vanessa was extremely dedicated in her time with Renzo. She provided consistent, clear updates and, ever since she first met Renzo, she instantly clicked with him and showed genuine care for animals. Sitters like her give great ease of mind when you're away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Wonderful experience with Simon and Ali with my new puppy for drop-in visits. Extremely accommodating, communicative, and flexible with my schedule, even as things changed. Also accommodated a meet and greet in advance of starting Rover sessions to meet my puppy. I felt very confident leaving my puppy in their care and well supported as I returned to work.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
