“Hailey is simply fantastic! She took care of my 2 elderly cats for a week in a very dedicated and caring way (twice daily visits, feeding, cat litter box cleaning, and spending time with the cats). Additionally, one of my cats developed an infection the day before me leaving, which added to Hailey's task (giving medication to my cat on a daily basis). Prior to starting her week of cat sitting, she came to my house to meet and greet the cats, learn where all the equipment/stuff was, and so she would know the premises. This really helped build a trust bond between the cats, me, and her. She did everything as instructed and more, making my cats feel safe and loved during my absence. Hailey sent daily updates and pictures which made me feel reassured everything was going as planned. She was very communicative which eased my mind and helped me cope with the distance. I absolutely highly recommend Hailey for cat sitting and will definitely hire her again when I have future needs for a cat sitter.”

“Caroline is fantastic. When my flight was delayed, she took it upon herself to check in on the cats beyond the set visits. She is trustworthy, reliable, and seems to genuinely love animals. Highly recommend!”

“Kendra was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our two cats while we were on vacation, making sure they were well fed, entertained, and loved. She spent time playing with them every day and kept us updated, which made us feel completely at ease. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy our trip without any stress or worrying about our boys. We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter!”

“Tania was great! This was my first time camping and I had to leave Frida at home, and Tania was amazing. Not only did she save me at the last minute, but she kept me updated on everything, sent photos and videos, and Frida loved her. I'm truly grateful!”

About: When I was 13 years old I’ve taken care of dogs other than my own. I always loved the idea of spending time with dogs because they also make me happy and excited. I work part time and hybrid so having to dog walk would also help me get my steps in and be happy about taking care of animals! I feed them with good food, walk them at least an hour every day (when my schedule was still spacious), keeping a clean environment for them, engaging with them and not leaving them for a long time, keeping them away from dust, and I just love them like a family.

“Cyndy was a fantastic cat sitter. I had a great experience. She was very communicative throughout and really came through by taking the booking on short notice, which I appreciated. What stood out most was how respectful she was of my cat’s space. My cat can be a bit standoffish, but Cyndy was patient and intuitive, and managed to build a rapport with her over the course of the visits. That gave me a lot of peace of mind. Overall, everything went smoothly and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“We are so happy with the care and affection Candy gives our cat while we are away. She has taken care of him for a number of our getaways. We keep asking Candy because she is so reliable and responsive. We have peace of mind and always come home to a happy kitty.”

“Ali was GREAT. It was important to me to leave our baby with someone I could trust and she immediately made me and Yami feel comfortable. My Black cat walked right up to her and greeted her. She sent pictures which made us feel close to him. He seemed happy when we got home (though of course he was a bit upset we left at all). Ali is awesome, you should book with her! Highly recommend.”

About: I enjoy the company of all manner of creatures, currently owning a dog of my own named Addy, being a 9 year old half and half Hound and German Sheppard. Who is the sweetest boy ever. I have grown up around all types of creatures ranging from cats and dogs to lizards and horses. I am comfortable with all manner of dogs and am happy to take them on familiar walks or new adventures, making sure safety is a priority at all times, keeping them away from harm and on their leash. I love the outdoors and I have been living away from home the past year, and can keep a home nice and tidy despite pets. I have often helped my mother with her own pet sitting endeavours, she is a five-star sitter on rover named Caroline D. She is always on call. I currently have no job and am completely free for the summer apart from the first two weeks of July. I am fully open to all requests for house sitting or dog walking or kitty and dog drop-ins. I will gladly play with them as they want, make sure they feel comfortable, frequently check that they have water, and food if they are passive eaters, and set alarms for dog walking time or food if they have specific meal times. I can give medication as needed to creatures. Having dealt with a diabetic cat previously. I always carry extra poop bags and will clean litter trays and any messes that they may make promptly and thoroughly. I am happy to put your garbage bins out if needed as well.
“Maddie is such a great sitter. Her calm demeaner really made Murphy relax. Murphy has separation anxiety, but Maddie put her at ease and therefore put us at ease. Highly recommend!”

“Eric was a fantastic cat sitter for my little guy, Benji. He was responsible, attentive, and clearly experienced with animals. From the start, communication was smooth and professional — Eric kept me updated with regular check-ins and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that he took the time to understand Benji’s routine and personality. When I returned, everything was just as I’d left it — clean litter box, full water bowls, and most importantly, a very content cat. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Eric again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for dependable, thoughtful care for their pet.”

About: Grown up having dogs at home all my life so far. My family and friends would always get me to dog sit their munchkins. I love walking and would love taking those munchkins for walks and have some playtime. Looked after all age group of pups and cats also looked after birds.Personally I simply cannot wait to have a pup of my own once i do settle in. I have always wanted to work for a pet store and did want to pursue carrier as a vet. Reliable, loyal, playful and lots of pampering are few other pointers about me. Back in India, I've not just had pups but also a variety of fish, turtles, birds and some reptiles.k Looking forward on working with you guys and an opportunity on interacting with your puppies. Thank you in advance for giving me an opportunity. I am a freelance Graphic designer so I'm pretty flexible with the days and timings. I usually like to maintain the routine that the pups are used to and follow them accordingly This is where the meet and greet comes in handy.having detailed information about the pup boarding in or coming in for day care helps making their stay/visit more comfortable. If there are more than 2pups involved, I make sure to take permissions from the parents before confirming they stay/visit. Lots of play time indoor, breaks and then walks.

Madeleine was absolutely lovely and I would definitely book with her again!!! She was always extremely communicative and prompt, left detailed “rover cards” and pictures, and really seemed to dedicate time and care during her visits with our kitty - which means the world to us. Leaving our kitty at home is always so hard, but I honestly felt very reassured knowing she was taking care of our girl!

Once again, Lexi was fabulous with our cat while we were away for the week. Instructions are followed perfectly, she spends quality play time with Willow and cleaned the litter box. Lexi goes above and beyond to make sure all is well and of course, Willow loves Lexi. She greets Lexi at the door and really enjoys the scratches and pettings she always gets. I will continue to have Lexi take care of our girl again, she is simply wonderful.

Michelle is a fabulous sitter for our playful and energetic orange cat. She is a great communicator who sends the cutest updates of each visit. You can tell she sincerely cares about the pets she sits. She asked lots of great questions when we first booked her, aiming to get to know our kitty and his demeanor as much as possible so that she could give him the care that best suited him. We feel so lucky to have found such a lovely sitter for our cat, allowing us to go away and not worry that he's going to be lonely or bored. We've continued to use Michelle since our initial booking, and will be doing so again many times!

Ali was fantastic! From our booking, to our meet and greet and finally our booked service days. Start to finish Ali made the whole process easy, worry free and straightforward. Ali was great with communication and gave our cat exceptional care and love! We would highly recommend her service and we look forward to Booking again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
