About: In addition to investing time to learn how to care for animals better, I have a degree in creative writing & publishing, and would love to provide a comprehensive service that will also include a mini-story (with photos!) about the time spent sitting and/or walking with your furry friend. Though I'm new to this platform, signing up for Rover was somewhat returning to roots—when I first went to college, I was a dog-walker on the side to make a bit of income! However, I recently said goodbye to one of my own best pet friends, a mini-Australian Shepherd, this past June, who still had a bit of sass even after being 15-and-a-half years old. There is a special-shaped hole and void that never goes away whenever you lose your best pet friend, so I also very much understand the specialized love, patience, and medical care that senior pets will require. Though I've cared for cats, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, and dogs for much of my life, specific examples of senior caregiving / caring for animals with special needs have included administering ever-changing medications, (probiotics to fish oil to glucosamine to trazodone etc.), changing diapers upon experiencing incontinence, monitoring weeping, non-cancerous tumours with weekly photos to check growth along with daily cleansing around a sensitive anal area, providing full-service care after surgery for actual cancerous tumour removal (as well as basic physio due to arthritis and luxating patella), and so on. With senior animals, learning patience when they slow down in general and experience mood-changes and decreased energy is paramount. They will have good and bad days, and both kinds of days might include cleaning up daily vomit when their tummies become very sensitive when they age, learning how to make homemade dog food, changing their feeding habits every few years to ensure good gut health as per vet recommendations, and sleeping on couches beside them or near to them to ensure they aren't alone and feel comfortable. I've also been around cats most of my life. The last cat that my husband and I had was from the Humane Society, a black cat who had unfortunately been quarantined twice due to ringworm outbreaks during her time there, and as such viewed her time during the pandemic, living with her family (us) in an apartment, as, rightfully, another quarantine time. We had to learn how to give her patience, care, understanding, and support, and accept that she likely wouldn't fully heal from her experiences in enclosed spaces, but it was good enough that she felt safe and able to be herself with us. My schedule is highly flexible, I live within the East York catchment area, and I am happy to provide a short story/detailed narrative update after every visit (or end-of week summary, including confirmation of any medication or behavioural changes), so you can ensure your pet is in safe hands. Finally, a fun fact about me is that I learned how to needle-felt animals, including the cat image of a friend's cat attached within my photo carousel, and loved to to try and capture their endearing qualities! Please feel free to reach out with any questions, or schedule a meet & greet, to help you feel more comfortable with your decision to work with me! My schedule is currently very flexible during the week! I am free Monday-Friday, from 10 am until 3 pm, for up to two drop-in visits for your pet, or walks around the neighbourhood. Please note: drop-ins will include services like litter change, food and water refreshment, brushing / bathing, lots of pets etc., and are not suitable for clients on extended overnight stays. As I am new to this platform, please let me know if it would be helpful to provide you with a reference for your own peace of mind, before the meet & greet. I have also received an independent insurance quote through Zensurance, and will aim to show you proof of being insured before we proceed. I also have a first-aid certification for pets (September 2026), and have experience with separating cats and dogs during mealtime, crating dogs at bedtime, ensuring your pup knows to sit and wait before being served a meal, administering multiple medications at required time etc., so can follow your eating schedule and daily routines you have set up for your pet. If also needed, I am happy to groom your pet (brushing and/or washing your pet, brushing teeth, cleaning out ears etc.), change litter boxes/refresh water dishes, and, of course, dole out a pre-determined amount of treats when they have indeed been a very good pet!

About: I have taken care of dogs for 2 years. I haven't owned my own but I did babysit my friends', neighbors', and family members' puppies or senior dogs. I have educated myself how to give care for the senior dogs and I am still improving myself in different topics; such as, how to give a bath and dog's psychology. I am working from home and I am teaching English; that's why, I can always have an eye on your pet and spend lots of time together. I have a fenced yard in my apartment and there might be my neighbors' dogs around so they can play together. I am very close to the beach and dog parks so your pet can always play and walk around with me in the nature or with other people's pets. 🐕

I double-check that all doors, windows, and gates are locked before leaving, strictly follow food/medication instructions, and handle feeding bowls and litter boxes with high hygiene standards. As a cat parent myself, I respect their space, read their body language, and never force interaction—allowing shy pets to approach me at their own pace in a stress-free environment. During dog walks, safety and leash control come first. About: I've taken care of pets since I was child. Most recently I was helping out with a dog in the building due to parent being hospitalized. Ibenjoyed it so much I decided to join the Rover app. I have traineded dogs to sit speak sit lay down & say please. I have a private dog park where I live if that interests you for toy play and zoomies a off leash. So before I've offered half hour play in half hour walk if that's something you're interested in. I think it's important for ones that live in apartment building for them to have a little freedom off leash. Pet first aid and CPR certified. I've have only administered meds a few times however I'm confident in my ability and willing to have you show me during meet & greet. My daily ritual is waking up to 2 cats to feed, play, talk too and cuddle with. clean water & wash bowls and clean their litter everyday sometimes every second. Once a week or two I clean and wash litter box. I will feed your pets on their schedule play/walk with them and cuddle and give positive reinforcement. Administer medications as needed. Dog walks on schedule every 4 hours for most or follow schedule and instructions customer has provided . Send pictures and updates so you are at peace that they are being well cared for.

About: I have had cats and dogs around me all my life. I definitely have more experience and charm with cats. I find the dogs in my life sense that I'm a "cat-person" and do whatever they can to prove to me that Dogs Rule! Not that it's a competition. I love pampering and talking to animals. Nothing makes me happier than sitting and talking about my day with an animal while brushing them. I work freelance and while I'm looking for that next job, I'm hoping to fill that spare time hanging out with animals. About: Hey there! I've been looking after pets for 3 years, and I genuinely love hanging out with dogs. I offer dog walking and can also give your pup a bath at my building's pet wash room, so they come home fresh and clean with no extra trip to the groomer. I'll stick to your dog's usual routine and send photos and updates, so you know they're having a great time. I also board cats at my condo, so if you have a scaly friend at home, feel free to message me! Just a heads up: I don't do dog boarding, but I'm always happy to take your dog for a walk. I'm available every day except Sundays, so I have plenty of time for pet care. I'm happy to do dog walks, drop-in visits, and cat and exotic pet boarding Monday through Saturday. I can often accommodate last-minute requests too, so just send me a message and we'll find a time that works for you and your pet. I care for pets in my condo, which is a clean, quiet, and secure space. Cats and exotic pets stay in a calm area where they can feel safe, and I keep a close eye on them throughout the day. I have a dedicated pet wash room in my building for baths. For dog walks, I use a secure leash and always follow your dog's routine and any special instructions.
