Pet care experience

Expert loving pet care

I love all dogs, I have owned dogs since I got my first golden Hannah when I was 7. I currently have have 1 dog Addy who is 9 years old and a complete sweetheart, he is 1/2 hound and 1/2 German Shepherd and is very good with other dogs. I also have 2 cats who are used to dogs and are OK with new dogs coming into the house if they are OK with cats. I have a room where we can do gradual introductions and I have done this a number of times. Safety for all is my first priority. I love walking and am happy to take your dog out and about at least twice a day, both Merrill bridge dog park and Monarch Park are within minutes and Ashbridges bay and the docklands down the road. I promise to keep them on lead and follow your instructions. I am experienced with senior dog care and can give medications as needed. I have a secure garden and a sunny back back where Addy loves to sleep in the sun. All pets are allowed on beds and sofas and our house is furry so no worries there. I am also happy to take them for a bath if needed and to groom them daily. I'm also happy to crate your pup if that's what they like. I have owned and looked after dogs and cats all my life and guarantee that your doggo will be loved, looked after and spoilt to bits.

This is my second time having Caroline look after my cats, and likely not the last! It was a wonderful experience again once again. She provides lovely, detailed updates each drop-in, and communication is great overall.

Caroline was a great sitter for Tango! She took him for a walk, sent photos, and kept communication with us, which we value a lot. Tango was very happy after staying with her. We will definitely book again. Thank you!!

Caroline is terrific, took very good care of our cats on her visits, including more demanding tasks like administering insulin to one of them. The updates were appreciated. Would happily have Caroline look after our animals ahain, thank you!

A typical day

My typical day starts with getting up and feeding cats and taking Addy out for a pee break. Then its his breakfast time, then ours. Walk 1 at 8am till 9-9:30am to either monarch park or merril bridge dog park and surrounding streets. Back home and all creatures snuggle in for an am nap, blankets and cozy beds provided. Lunch time is announced by the kitties, all creatures get a snack and pup goes for a quick walk. If its sunny they all like to sunbathe in the garden and on the deck. Play time happens when they or I am are bored or taking a break. Around 3 pm is long walk 2, we will usually hit a dog park on route and there is a secure fenced dog park we can use for your pet to have a run and chase a ball/frisbee, Addy doesn't chase balls etc but loves a squirrel chase. We tend to make the afternoon walk a longer one especially as the weather improves, the beach down at Ashbriges bay is one of our favorite spots and we often go to the cherry beach fenced dog park as well. The Value Pet on Queen is a stop of for a bath if addy is filthy. I am happy to wash you pup too :) Again the kitties tell us its tea time around 4:30pm and all are fed. Chew treats are given at our dinner time and pee breaks as needed happen in the evening and before bed time.

Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only

Caroline can host up to 1 pet per night
It is important to me that your pet is well socialized with other dogs and preferably does not chase cats. Slinky will sort them out if they havent met a cat before :) She is fearless. Please no unspayed females as Addy was neutered late and gets thoroughly over excited. I would like a detailed feeding and medications if needed plan and any other special considerations. I am also happy to meet up in a park before the sitting to see if your pup and mine get on. Addy is a very gentle social dog and gets on well with most other dogs.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
