About: I have had dogs sinced 2010. Currently we have a 15 year old husky who is still quite playful outside but spends most of the day sleeping due to advanced age. We are used to frequent walks and don't mind loud singers 😁 I have Sundays and Mondays off and my husband only works part-time from home so someone is home most of the time and we are pretty flexible. I have a fenced backyard, a human- and dog-friendly Husky to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog if you prefer. We have a home where they will be comfortable. We can send you pictures daily so you know your baby is safe.

About: I provide calm, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs, with experience in owning cats, dogs and birds throughout my life. I currently have a rescued Croatian Sheepdog named Cassie. Cassie was rescued from an abusive environment when she was 2 so I have experience in calming and caring for anxious rescue dogs. I’ve had Cassie for almost 6 years now and it’s been incredible watching her become confident and truly just being a dog. I’m a professional soccer player taking a break for 5-6 months to spend time with my family in Toronto so I have nothing but free time in these coming months to care for animals. Right now I’m staying at my mom’s house in the inner suburbs of Toronto with a fenced backyard and park across the street for a perfect environment for walking dogs.

About: With over 4 years of experience focused exclusively on small and medium breeds, I understand that "little" doesn't mean "low energy." Whether it's a spirited Frenchie or a sensitive Maltese, I specialize in the unique physical and emotional needs of dogs under 40 lbs. I provide a calm, controlled environment where smaller pups can feel confident and secure without the stress of being around larger, more boisterous dogs. As a dedicated pet sitter for small and medium breeds, my daily schedule is built around providing a stable, high-attention environment. I start my mornings with fresh water, breakfast, and a gentle walk or backyard playtime to get those little legs moving before I begin my remote work/daily tasks. Throughout the day, I incorporate frequent 'potty breaks' and short play sessions to keep energy levels balanced, ensuring that smaller pups never feel overwhelmed or lonely. Evenings are reserved for wind-down time and plenty of cuddles, mimicking the cozy home routine your pet is already used to." In My Home: A Safe Haven for Smaller Pups When your pet stays with me, my home becomes their 'home away from home.' I maintain a small-dog-friendly environment where I prioritize safety by keeping floors clear of hazards and ensuring all exits are secure. My routine is centered on supervised play and cozy rest areas, ensuring smaller breeds feel confident and relaxed without the stress of a crowded kennel environment." In Your Home: Maintaining the Comfort of Routine "For sittings in your home, my priority is minimizing stress by strictly following your pet's established habits. I stick to your specific feeding areas, walking routes, and 'potty' cues to keep their day predictable. Beyond basic care, I provide attentive companionship and detailed home security—bringing in mail or watering plants—so you can travel knowing both your pet and your property are in expert hands.

About: I grew up around dogs, have had dogs all my life and absolutely love them. My mother and aunt were dog breeders, and my uncle was a Chief Inspector for the OSPCA. I am also a dog handler at dog shows in Ontario and have been taking care of dogs for over 20 years. I currently have 2 snuggly pomeranians, who "think" they rule this household, but obviously provide daily laughs and humor. Your fur kids are in good hands and will be loved as though they are my own. They will enjoy frequent breaks and walks as well as cuddles during their time with me. I look forward meeting you and your fur kids to discuss their unique needs as well as our time together.

About: Hi! I'm Anna — a dedicated pet-sitter with over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. What sets me apart is my deep commitment to creating a safe, fun, and loving environment for your pets, as if they were my own. I'm also known for my strong communication with pet parents — providing regular updates, photos, and videos so you can feel completely at ease while you're away. I treat every pet like family and take pride in building long-term, trusting relationships with both pets and their people. Let me know how I can make your time away stress-free for both you and your furry loved one! Because I work from home and have flexible availability, I am able to provide consistent care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs multiple potty breaks, medication at a certain time, or just some extra cuddles and attention, I'm there — every step of the way. I only take on a limited number of bookings at once to ensure that each pet gets our full attention and care. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness is my top priorities every single day. In my home, pets are welcomed into a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play, rest, and feel at ease. I never overcrowd, so my pet gets plenty of individual attention. I keep a consistent routine with regular potty breaks, walks, enrichment activities, and cuddle time. Safety is key, so I carefully introduce pets to new environments and monitor all interactions.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have been professionally walking them since I was 14. I also have been working at a doggy daycare which includes responsibility such as dog walking, dog boarding, and dog training. I have experience with dogs as big as Great Danes to as small as Pomeranian's. I currently work part time as a daycare attendant/dog walker at a doggy daycare! Most of my days are short and involve early morning so there is no worry of your pet being left alone! I have a small yard with turf and an 8 foot fence so no dogs will be able to jump over. My house is very minimalistic and clean so there is never any worry of your dog getting into any trash or bumping into anything that may hurt him/her.

It was my first night out - Pepper was in the best hands. Melissa was happy to do a meet and greet first, and tonight she was on time, a good communicator, and even took some pictures. I would not hesitate to have her care for Pepper in a second. Thank you Melissa! I was able to enjoy my rare night out because of you!

Jose did an excellent job! Jose helped out with Drop In visits with my geriatric Bichon while I was out of the country for a week. My pup was walked, fed and tended to plus little accidents cleaned up. In addition, Jose kept a log book going for me to refer to when I got home detailing my Pup's behaviour, eating habits and movements with each visit. My access to wifi and cell were limited so the log book really helped out when I returned home. I have a record of how my Pup was doing with each visit. Jose also kept in touch throughout the day with my BF that was in charge of my Pup. This was a real challenge for all of us including my Pup since everything was a new experience and everything worked out really well! I highly recommend Jose to look after your Fur Friend.

I had a wonderful experience with Czarina! She was amazing with my pup and it was clear right away that he felt very comfortable with her. She was very communicative, kept me updated, and made sure he got a nice midday break while I was away at work. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Etobicoke

Frequently asked questions about Rover

There are 7,004 sitters on Rover for Dog Sitting in Etobicoke. About 87% of Etobicoke sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Rover makes it easy to find sitters who are available during your working hours. To find sitters who fit your schedule, select which days of the week and the time slots you'd like a sitter to visit. The search results will populate sitters whose calendars match your needs. You can also search for sitters by location, whether that’s a sitter near your office for day care drop-off or a sitter close to your home. Once you've found a sitter who you like, message them directly to schedule a Meet & Greet.

Tip: Doggy day care is another option for pet supervision while you're at work. Visit our doggy day care page for more information.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Etobicoke stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Etobicoke choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
