I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was a teenager. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets when they have been away. The responsibility of taking care of your pet goes far beyond the fundamental need of food and shelter. My focus is on their well-being by providing a comfortable and interactive environment. Taking care of your dog would provide me so much joy and I can assure you that I will give your pet the same love and attention that you would.

Rosalia was fantastic with my girl, Vixen! She is the anxious kitty (and pet parent) cat whisperer. Vixen warmed up to her almost immediately (she normally shies away from everyone) which put me at ease. Rosalia went above & beyond, bringing in mail & gifts, and even helped when one of my home cameras stopped working. She took such great care of my fur baby and it made my vacation so much more relaxing and enjoyable knowing she was in great hands. Will definitely book with her again!
Rosalia is an incredibly kind, calm, and trustworthy sitter, and I would happily rebook with her anytime she’s available. My German Shepherd, Zoe, is very high-energy and can be reactive to some dogs despite ongoing training and socialization. Rosalia was so thoughtful and attentive—she chose to walk Zoe early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid other dogs and make Zoe feel comfortable and safe. Her home is spotless yet welcoming, and she truly made Zoe feel at home by letting her move freely, play, and enjoy her time there. I’m very grateful for the care and love Rosalia showed to Zoe.

Schedule
I work as a teacher, so my availability follows a school schedule. During school holidays, I am fully dedicated to your pet during their stay. During the school year, I am at your pet's beck and call on weekends all day and after 3:30 pm on weekdays. I am also open to weekday stays as long as your dog would be comfortable staying home alone between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. I love to be active, and I will make sure your fur baby will get multiple walks and engaging play time, or if they prefer rest and relaxation, I will offer lots of cuddles! You will receive updated messages and photos throughout their stay including appetite and sleep observations. However, I can also appreciate that you may need a break from technology, so if you prefer that I only contact you in the event of an emergency, I am happy to accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment
Physical safety is of utmost concern when your pet is in my care. To ensure their safety, please note: 1) I have gotten all of my Covid-19 vaccines. I also follow all health and safety guidelines as recommended by public health. 2) If an emergency arises, I have a car. 3) My house is cleaned with non-toxic cleaners. I am open to hosting other types of pets as well. 4) Long-term stays are welcome 5) I will strictly follow your diet and medication administration (if applicable) instructions.
A typical day
Your pet is your family, and I can appreciate what it's like to be away from them, even if you are doing something fun. As such, I will treat your dog as my own with the utmost respect, kindness and gentle care when they stay with me. I will strictly follow your feeding instructions and can administer oral medicine. They'll get lots on one-to-one attention, and I will make sure to stimulate your dog both physically and mentally. We'll play a bunch of games, check out all the new smells in my neighbourhood, and explore Echo Valley Park near my house. I have a large yard, and I would always supervise and keep them on leash when we are outside.
