About: Dogs bring so much joy wherever they go, and I've always wanted to own one. Alas, I haven't gotten the priviledge. But I've always had a big interest in them, and have done my research on their body language and training techniques. My aunts have a lot of dogs, and they taught me how to care for them. They will be in good hands! I'm a morning person with a lot of free time, so I should be able to care for your pet up to the evening if necessary. I'm unavailable on Tuesdays and Sundays. If any event comes up during the week and I become unavailable, I will be upfront about it. Of course, as I will not be staying at my own house, I will treat the property with respect, and your pet will too! Dogs will be given consistent walks at least 2-3 times a day. Cats will have play time and a clean litter box. I will pay attention to your pet's mood and body language, and ensure they have a comfortable time under my care. I bring a calm composure that most pets are attracted to.

About: Hi, I’m Mel! Animals have been a huge part of both my professional and personal life for as long as I can remember. I currently work at a pet boarding facility where I care for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, personalities and energy levels. Every day has taught me how important it is to pay attention to each pets individual needs, read their body language, and help them feel comfortable and safe while in my care. Before that, I worked as an Assistant Manager at a pet store for nearly three years, where I gained extensive knowledge of pet care, nutrition and customer education. About: I have recently graduated from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College. There I learned basic first-aid and CPR, training/restraint/handling technics for both dogs and cats. I grew up with both cats and dogs, my entire life. I have also worked at doggy daycares and currently working at Pet Valu. I believe my combination of knowledge, compassion and love for animals sets me apart from others. This is my full time job. I have a few clients that I do daily walks and drop-in visits for so I am away for 3-4 hours in the morning. About: I’ve been around pets my entire life from my own dogs and cats to friends hedgehogs and birds. Family, friends and neighbours rely on me to take care of their pets when they are out of town for a week or gone for a day trip. I have experience with puppies, elderly pets and special needs dogs. I am active and will make sure that your pet is well looked after with lots of playing, walks and more! I just finished my Bachelor of Education and am taking some time to enjoy life before going full force into the job market. I usually have 1 or 2 classes downtown in the evenings during the week but will be going straight back to your furry friend after. Even with a fenced in yard, I always supervise any pets when they are outdoors. When indoors, I am constantly checking in to make sure that pets aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t be. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and use treats, tickles and happiness to convey when a pet is being good. All animals need stimulation - I am active and will make sure that walks are done daily, we play in the garden or the house and your pet is happy and healthy.
