About: Hi there! My name is Janis, and I am a newly graduated veterinarian. I have had a lifelong love for animals and years of practical hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I am currently offering dog walking, dog sitting, and pet care services with a very flexible schedule before I begin full time veterinary work at the end of July. Thanks to my extensive veterinary training and clinical experience, I am comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, administering medications, monitoring senior pets, and helping anxious animals feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, a shorter stroll, playtime and enrichment, cuddles on the couch, or just a calm reassuring presence, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animal. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own, and keep you updated with plenty of photos and communication while they’re in my care! Id love to meet you and your furry family members! I start full time veterinary work at the end of July. Until then, my schedule is extremely flexible and am happy to cater to anyone’s needs. Once I start to work, we can discuss more concrete times. I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved as possible while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home for drop-ins, walks, or sitting visits, I do my best to stick closely to their normal routine so they can feel relaxed and secure in their familiar environment. As a newly graduated veterinarian, your pets safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities, including puppies/kittens, anxious animals, senior pets, and those with medical needs. I’m also trained to recognize subtle signs of stress or illness, which gives many owners extra peace of mind when trusting someone with their furry family member. For dogs, I priority safe walks, secure leashing/harnessing, hydration, enrichment, and lots of positive attention. For cats, I understand the importance of patience, calm energy, and respecting each cat’s individual comfort level. I know how nerve-wracking it can feel leaving your pet with someone new, so communication is huge for me. You can always expect regular updates, photos, and honesty throughout my visits. My goal is not only for your pets to be well cared for, but genuinely excited to see me again!
“Mary was absolutely fantastic with Frankie and Millie! She was warm, reliable, and instantly connected with both of them. Her updates and photos kept us completely at ease, and it was clear the dogs were having a great time. We came home to two happy pups and everything perfectly in order. Highly recommend Mary, we’ll definitely book her again! 🐾”

“Nicole was wonderful! Extremely responsive, keen to learn about Nature’s quirks and habits and very flexible. She kept our escape artist safe and totally happy, sending us regular updates (and pics ?). A big thank you!”

About: I am a friend to cats and dogs alike. I have taken care of my own cats, I've done cat-sitting, and dog-walking before. I have good intuition for how a pet communicates its needs. I currently work part-time near my house. I'm available in the evenings on weekdays after 6:00pm, and during the weekends from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. I can do quick check-ins on the pets, feed them, or walk them if needed. I am great at playing with pets and giving them the physical attention that they consent to. I feed my cats a mixture of soft food and wet food. I make sure not to overfeed them, even when they meow for more food. As for my clients, I review with them if their pet has a special diet, schedule, or temperament. It's good to know how each pet is food-motivated versus attention-motivated. I ask clients about their pets' diets and how much treats to give.
“We hired Jen to stay in our home while we travelled for two weeks. I interviewed a few people, and it was our dog, Roxy, who chose Jen. She immediately took to her looking for affection. Glad we trusted Roxy’s instincts because Jen was fabulous. She kept to Roxy’s routine and sent many updates throughout our time away. the cherry on top was coming home to a spotless house! I wouldn’t hesitate to use Jen again and 100% recommend her!”

“Did a fantastic job housesitting our cat while we were away. Very responsive, flexible and attentive. She started out with an initial visit which went well. Poe was well provided for and tired from all the playing and attention he was given which is saying something for him. Could not recommend her more, and will definitely be booking again.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for and training dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I adopted my 10-year-old German Shepherd when he was 1, and have raised and trained him since, so I understand the commitment, consistency, and patience needed for long-term care. Over the years, I’ve also dog-sat a wide range of breeds including Bichon Frise, Japanese Spitz, Samoyeds, Akitas, and Huskies. This has given me experience adapting to different energy levels, personalities, and care needs. I’m comfortable caring for both senior dogs who need a gentle, attentive routine, and puppies who require structure and training support. My approach is calm, reliable, and focused on making each dog feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. On a personal note, my dream is to one day help rescue and care for stray dogs in different countries. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I already care for my own 10-year-old German Shepherd, which includes regular walks, feeding, exercise, medication, and maintaining a consistent routine to keep him healthy and happy. I have experience dog sitting for other dogs throughout the week, so I’m comfortable adjusting my routine to fit different care schedules, whether that’s drop-in visits, walks, or overnight stays. Overall, I’m organized, flexible, and genuinely enjoy having pet care as part of my everyday life rather than seeing it as an occasional task. Currently, I’m taking a career break, so I have plenty of time and availability to dedicate to pet care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medication, and any specific care preferences. I make sure pets are comfortable, safe, and get plenty of attention while you’re away, including playtime, walks, and companionship based on their energy level and personality. For dog walking, I ensure safe, structured walks that match each dog’s pace and needs. Whether it’s a calm senior dog or an energetic breed, I adjust the walk accordingly and prioritize leash safety, exercise, and mental stimulation. I also provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to care for each pet as if they were my own, while respecting your home and maintaining a clean, reliable, and trustworthy presence.
“Sophia took great care of our dog Miso and cat Otis (overnight) when we were away. She was very punctual, both for initial “meet and greet”and then on the day of. Miso really warmed up to her immediately. She sent regular updates and pictures of our pets. Also Sophia followed the instructions we had noted regarding the feeding and breaks. We will surely have Sophia as the sitter for Miso and Otis in future.”

About: I love noticing the little things. ✨ Every pet has their own personality, preferences, and routines, and I enjoy discovering what helps them feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. While you're away, I care for your pets with a calm, attentive presence, always respecting the home and routine they know. Sometimes the smallest adjustments can bring a little extra comfort... a cozy blanket, a favourite resting spot, or simply following their lead. I love taking the time to notice those things, because they can make all the difference. 💗 Cats: I take a calm, intuitive approach, giving cats space when they need it, and connection when they seek it. My goal is to help them feel safe, seen, and relaxed while you’re away. As a volunteer with a local cat rescue, I’m continually deepening my understanding of feline behaviour, body language, and how to support each cat’s unique personality. Dogs: I care for dogs with a calm, attentive presence, tuning into their energy, whether they’re playful, curious, or more relaxed. With regular walks, play, and companionship, my goal is to help them feel secure, happy, and at ease in your absence. I’d love to connect and learn more about your pet. If it feels like a good fit, we can schedule a *Meet & Greet*, so I can meet you and your pet in person and help everyone feel comfortable. Pet care is a natural and meaningful part of my life. I'm currently available for pet-sitting in your home. Consistent, reliable care that caters to your pet’s needs. I'll care for your home and pets with the same respect and attention I'd give my own. During each stay, I will: - Follow your pet's established routine - Keep your home calm, clean, and secure - Send regular updates and photos - Monitor behaviour, appetite, litter habits, and overall well-being - Administer medications and provide extra support when needed - Care for multiple cats and senior or special-needs pets - Bring in mail, water plants, and handle small household tasks as requested Your pets' comfort, safety, and routine are always my priority.
About: With two dogs and two cats back at my family home, I have plenty of experience taking care of pets. I’m very comfortable managing feeding, exercise, and playtime for both cats and dogs of all sizes. I'm home all day, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pups. My schedule is completely flexible any day of the week. We have two calm and friendly cats who always stay in their own room. If you have any concerns about them interacting, I am happy to keep your pets in a separate area of the house to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
“This was our first time using Rover, and Jillian made it a great experience! She was right on time and immediately our dog Mylo felt comfortable with her. When we got home Mylo was happy and clearly very well taken care of. We will absolutely be booking again!”

“I was a bit apprehensive leaving my cat Timmy for the first time after moving to Toronto. Nejla put my fears to rest. She kept Timmy very happy and provided me with tremendous comfort with lots of updates and so many pictures. She left the condo in great shape too. I highly recommend Nejla for anyone seeking a pet sitter.”

About: I have been lucky to enjoy 10+ years of experience looking after dogs (and cats) of different breeds and sizes. I currently work a hybrid remote job, where my office days are Mondays and Tuesdays, please keep in mind on those days I will be away from home for 6-8 hours. Pets are free to roam my entire apartment and have access to all rooms and furniture unless otherwise instructed. I live in a secure condo, with a beautiful area downstairs for walking pups, and a bathtub I'm happy to share for post-adventure clean ups. Pet care is of the utmost importance to me, I prioritize physical and mental stimulation and I am dedicated to ensure your pet is both safe and happy during their stay. I also only accept 1-2 dogs per booking a day, so they will never feel any lack of attention. I treat all pets as if they were my own, with care, protection and respect. I yap to them regularly and truly get myself good and attached, I miss them so much when they leave! I have lots of space in my condo and pets are allowed on all of my furniture as their comfort is very important to me.

I'm so glad I found Ann on this website. She's a very kind and friendly girl! My dog was happy with her; she found the right approach for him. I was very pleased that she took the time to send me updates with photos. Everything went very smoothly and without stress for my dog😍🥰

Didem stayed at our place to house sit and look after our senior cat. She was incredible!! I received daily updates from her with lots of pictures and videos. It is clear that she adores cats and knows how to care for them. I highly, highly recommend Didem for house-sitting. Thank you so much Didem!! 😻

It was good to finally connect with Crystal. We felt she really took a liking to Harley when we met over the summer, and Harley seemed quite comfortable with her. Harley is 17 and blind. She may not see you, but she sure seems to know when she's safe. When we briefed Crystal this morning, Harley was right there at her feet (perhaps just waiting for us to leave?). When we finally did leave, Harley was lounging on Crystal's lap. They had a busy day, including a walk to one of our regular spots, a few naps and she was comfortable enough to go about her usual business of exploring. I don't know if we were missed or not. Thank you, Crystal, for your patience and calmness watching our girl.

Doloresz is the best house sitter! She is super prompt and extremely friendly with my dog, Levi. He suffers from anxiety and is usually super hyper around other people, but with Doloresz - he was calm and obedient! Highly recommend her services to anyone! Definitely will use again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Concord
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Concord on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 4,091 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Concord. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Concord maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Concord walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Concord choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
