“Sofia is excellent. 10/10 communication. She has sent me updates with cutest of pictures. She is truly a dog lover at heart and so is her little helper. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook her again and honestly, looking forward to it. Sofia, you rock!! Thank you!!!”

“Kenobi warmed up to both Nisha & Joe immediately! Kenobi can be hesitant with men at times, but he didn't even hesitate the second he met Joe to say "see ya, mom" and head in. They sent regular updates, photos, and videos and Nisha seemed very knowledgeable on dog behaviour. Real pros!”

“Nairy and Jozsef are the best inerim fur-parents for our Ace. They take care of him like their own. Nairy keeps me posted all the time and even personally calls if there are concerns. Thank you both for caring and loving Ace like we do. Till the next one.❤️”

“Tetyana was absolutely wonderful taking care of my dog Ramses. She would send me regular photo updates and kept Ramses happy, and active. I would gladly rebook with Tetyana again. Thank you again Tetyana for being an amazing sitter for Ramses.”

“As always, Scott was amazing with Otto. He gets so excited when we pull onto the street, he knows exactly where he’s going. Amazing communication, great updates and photos as per usual. They love Otto like I do ☺️”

“I cannot say enough about Anna. She was very professional and loving to my Rocky. Looked after him like he was her own. She had noticed a little brown discharge coming from Rocky's ear, she right away contacted me. She asked if she could take him to the vet to get it checked out, and sure enough it was an ear infection. Next time I need a dog sitter, I hope she will be available. Thank you Anna and God bless!”

“Adriana so wonderful with Snow, she is also so kind and shows genuine care for Snow. Details like photo updates and trustworthiness provides peace of mind. Snow very thankful!”

“Sparky loves going to stay with Melvin! He gets excited as soon as we get to the house! He is part of the family and is always happy and well taken care of! Thank you!”

“Maria Carle did a one week boarding for my dog. She did a fantastic job. She’s very sweet, nice & responsible & did her job with pride. Charlie really took to her & immediately warmed up to her. I liked her very much. She kept me updated while I was away with texts & very cute pictures. She gave me peace of mind while I was away & knew Charlie was in good hands. I highly recommend her. I will definitely be hiring her again”

“Naomi was wonderful! My dog Freya has allergies and has an injured leg that needs to be watched. Naomi was diligent in following my requests for her care. By the reports and photos Naomi sent it was clear how happy and comfortable Freya felt in this new temporary home. Naomi’s obvious love for dogs and cats is heartwarming. This was by far the best experience we’ve had. I strongly and happily recommend Naomi. Freya will absolutely be a returning customer.”

“Great sitter! Communication was excellent, and we received regular photo and video updates throughout the stay. She followed Dodo’s feeding schedule and potty break routine exactly as requested. Dodo looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We would definitely book again!”

“It is always worrisome with a hint of guilt when you leave your beloved pet with a stranger for a couple of days but leaving my 4 year old black male cat with Azar was the best decision I had made. Her home was neat and tidy and she took such excellent care of him, he complained when we put him back in his carrier to bring him home. Azar is a wonderful caregiver who sent me periodic pictures and videos of Zenny during his stay. I will definitely use her again when necessary and not feel guilty about it! Thank you so much Azar!”

“Our small rescue dog stayed with Olga during our ten day vacation to Mexico. Olga was very communicative, sending us detailed written updates with plenty of photos at least twice per day. Although our dog tends to be quite shy, Olga was so gentle and patient with her and went to great lengths to make her feel comfortable in a new environment.”

“Jody Caitlin M was great again with my little old man. She is so thoughtful and caring! Always sending videos and photo updates. Again, Chewy was so happy when I picked him up and thanked Caitlin by giving her a goodbye kiss! I will be very interested in booking her again soon!”

“Wieslawa/Vicky took care of Rue for the week we were away on vacation. Our dog Rue is 17 years old, healthy but set in her ways. Vicky asked for her routine and her medical information and followed it religiously. She took Rue for many long walks and provide us with lots of pictures and videos while we were away. Vicky is obviously a very caring person and loves animals. We could see based on the videos that Rue was comfortable and happy which allowed us to enjoy our vacation. I would definitely have Vicky take care of our dog again.”

“Finding someone as wonderful as Tsering to care for my Bella has been such a blessing! From the very first meeting, I felt completely confident leaving my baby in her capable hands. Tsering is not only reliable and professional but also incredibly kind and attentive. She takes the time to learn my dog’s quirks and needs, ensuring she is happy and comfortable at all times. I especially appreciate the updates and adorable photos she sends, which make being apart from my little one so much easier. When I come home, my dog is always relaxed, joyful, and clearly well cared for. Tsering treats her as if she were her own, and it’s obvious she genuinely loves what she does. I couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter and am so grateful to have found her!”

“Liana took amazing care of our dog Chase while we were away. He can be timid and anxious and Liana provided a calm, comfortable environment for him. It was clear from the photo and video updates she sent that he adored her and was being very well taken care of. Communication with Liana was great - she was always very responsive. I would very gladly have her take care of Chase again in the future ☺️”

“Subhra did an amazing job watching Chino for 4 days and 3 nights! He seemed extremely comfortable with her the minute that they met. She was very reassuring and understanding, as I was skeptical because It was my first time having him stay with someone new for that long. Subhra followed Chino’s daily routine/schedules, and was open to all suggestions and advice on my end. I received video and photo updates, I do wish I received a bit more but that could just be me overly obsessing about my baby lol! I received updated nontheless and will definitely be booking with her again! Thank you so much Subhra!”

Huge thanks to Malaika and her partner! They accepted my last minute booking request for an overnight boarding and from the moment we had a phone conversation to get to know each other first I felt comfortable already. Drop off was smooth and Kaos was already excited and comfortable as well to be with them before I even drove off. She sent many pictures and updates with great communication which I greatly appreciate that. Kaos is very reactive to other dogs but Malaika was very understanding of that and adjusted to the nature of Kaos' walks. Pick up was also very smooth. My baby looked so happy and was pooped on the car ride home. Thank you so much again and we looking forward to booking with them again, highly recommended!

Nisha and Joe were wonderful. It was our first time using this service and we could not be happier with the care that our dogs received. They kept us updated on how they were doing that eased our minds the entire time that we were away. I would highly recommend these two to look after your pets.

Lovely meeting Kristen she made things very easy, flexible with the time. I'm a little bit nervous leaving my baby with new people, she really took the time to understand all his quirks and needs. He was in good hands cuddling the night with Kristen as I got picture updates. Would definitely recommend! :)

Sonia Sonia took wonderful care of Dana for two nights with so much love, patience, and kindness. She kept me updated the entire time, which gave me complete peace of mind. It’s clear that she truly loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. I’m incredibly grateful for all the care and affection she gave Dana. I would trust her with Dana again without hesitation. I wholeheartedly recommend her!

It was my first time leaving Maggie with a sitter, so I was quite nervous. Right from our first meeting, Nicole put Maggie and me at ease. I could not be more pleased with how the week went for Maggie. Nicole sent me updates with pictures every day, letting me know how Maggie was doing. Maggie fit in perfectly with Nicole and her cockapoo, Gracie 💕. We will definitely be using Nicole again when we go away!

Aly was an absolutely amazing caregiver for Wanda! I was given updates throughout Wanda‘s duration with her as to how she was doing and I felt so comfortable leaving Wanda with her. It was a wonderful experience and I am absolutely going to do this again again and highly recommend Aly!!!

Monica was absolutely amazing! She took incredible care of our dog, Ryan, for five days, and we couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter. Monica kept us updated, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and dependable dog sitter. Thank you, Monica—we'll definitely be booking with you again!

We chose to board our dog with Javier after our regular boarder was unavailable. Lexi seemed to have a great time there. She came home with a beautifully brushed coat, and we received regular photos from Javier showing us what she was up to. We’ll definitely book again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
