“Maria and Miranda were amazing to our mini poodle. They were so attentive and caring with her. We loved the continuous contact and pictures they sent us. It was reassuring to know Maizee was in good hands. Thank you to both of them for being so flexible with the pick up time! 🐾Maizee misses you!”

“This was Frankie’s third stay with Allan’s family. We are so grateful for the sweet love and great care they provide her, and the updates they send our way while we’re traveling. We highly recommend them, always!”

“Rie is great and our dog Louie loved her and the time he spent with May! It was first time for Louie and he loved it! She sent us pictures and keep us posted how he was doing. Definitely recommending Rie!”

“So thankful I found Caroline! My dog Misty had a great time with her and her dog Oisin. She has such a warm presence and warmth to her, and is very experienced with both dogs and cats. She provided me with many updates and pics during my dog's stay and was super accommodating with drop off and pick up times. She has a beautiful home and backyard - a dog's dream and her neighbourhood is filled with luscious greenery. Can't wait for Misty to stay with her again. Caroline was patient during our meet and greet and I could immediately tell my dog would be well cared for under her supervision. I highly recommend her!”

“They were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire time. They kept us updated regularly, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Narcissa was taken on walks both in the morning and in the afternoon, and they even shared videos of her playing, which we truly appreciated. They were very patient and understanding, especially considering that it can be difficult for a pet to adjust to a new environment. Their friendliness and willingness to help made a big difference during this particular trip. We would absolutely love to continue booking with them in the future, as we were extremely satisfied with the care and attention they provided to Narcissa.”

“Rong gave care and attention to Abby. Abby is a sensitive dog and I could see right away she felt calm with Rong. The photo updates put my mind at ease when I was away and allowed me to focus on my event. Thank you Rong!”

“Amelia was very friendly, kind and patient with my dog who is a bit timid. She sent regular updates and texts to reassure us of our dogs contentment. Highly recommend!”
“Wenwen did a great job taking care of Esme and she made sure Esme was comfortable. She aslo sent me lots of updates and pictures which was great! I plan to book her again for Esme.”

“Sayantani & Dibyendu were wonderful! Our dog, Reggie was well cared for, well exercised, well fed! They saw he liked strawberries so they made sure to give him some even though we didn’t provide them and sent some extras home with us for Reggie to enjoy :) We got lots of pictures and videos and updates and they were really communicative about what was going on with our pup! He was allowed on the furniture and made himself right at home.”

“Cleo had a wonderful first stay with Michael. I received caring daily updates with photos of Cleo. Michael was also very attentive to Cleo’s needs and took extra care with her as the temperatures were bitterly cold during her stay with him. Thank you Michael”

“Thank you for a great first time stay with Mabel. She is already in love and comfortable with you both. So grateful for the communication, photos, videos and thoughtful and responsible way you cared for her. I would strongly recommend you to any pet parent without hesitation!!”

“Our pup loves staying with Dawne! We would highly recommend her. She made us feel 100% comfortable leaving our pup for our first trip away. She gave us constant updates, pictures and we knew we left Phoebe is good hands. Dawne’s home is also well set up for pups like ours to get their energy out. Phoebe returned to us happy and relaxed 😊”

“Joey had a wonderful stay. As a senior who requires daily medication, we were pleased that all his needs were met without any issues. We received regular updates with photos, and Joey returned home happy and healthy!”

“Absolutely wonderful pet sitters! Very respectful to my requests and responded quickly to texts. Maddy had so much fun with them, and she looked completely worn out by the end of each day! I really appreciated all the silly pictures they sent as well! Would recommend and book again.”

“Barbara is absolutely wonderful! Shelby stayed with her and her lovely family for 2 weeks during March Break. Though we miss Shelby so much during our trip, we know that she is being taken care of with the utmost love and attention. For this reason, we are able to enjoy our trip, despite not having Shelby beside us! Barbara is highly recommended! She gives great daily feedback and pictures/videos. Shelby enjoys being with her and her family, and I am sure she will not hesitate going back into Barbara's embrace in the future!!! Thank you so much to you, Barbara, and your lovely family, for taking good care of Shelby!!!”

“This family did an outstanding job with Tyrone. Pictures and updates were sent regularly and I truly felt that he was treated like a beloved member of the family! Thank you so so much for looking after him! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Ace had a great time and was very well taken care of. They were so sweet to Ace and sent picture updates regularly. Even gave Ace extra food when he ran out on the last day. Couldn’t have asked for better sitters when having to go away. Will definitely rebook again :)”

“Our 70-pound dog is not always easy to care for, and sometimes he jumps at people. Derek was patient and communicative with us to make sure everything worked out. He also walked outside to meet us which was really helpful. Highly recommend!”

Manuela was great with Duke, she provided me with updates throughout his stay so I was at ease that he was in great hands. I will definitely book again and would recommend if you need someone trustworthy to watch your fur baby. She was prompt to reply and the pick-up and drop-off went smoothly

Anusia did an amazing job sitting for our Ahsoka! I got regular updates and photos and really put in time keeping Ahsoka very active during her stay. Ahsoka was so tuckered out when she got home... clearly had such a great time staying with Anusia! I plan on booking future stays for Ahsoka with Anusia. highly recommend!

Our young Lab stayed here for two weeks during a family emergency. What a blessing this sanctuary was for the dog and our family. The dog was well loved and exercised, critical to Labs. She didn’t come home with extra weight on her, also critical. Maria and Jose were so supportive and loving and positive. We got pictures and videos that helped to lower our shoulders. We will be repeat customers for sure. A treasure of a place !

There aren’t enough words to describe how lovely Celine is, so I’ll just add to the overwhelming positive reviews by adding another 5 stars. Celine’s home is a doggie paradise, and she clearly treats every dog with the love and care they deserve (which is a lot!) Super communicative and makes an anxious dog mom like me less anxious with really consistent and reassuring updates. A true professional in every way, integrates dogs super well together, and very mindful of their emotions, needs, and triggers. A++++, Bolt already can’t wait to go back!

This is Spock’s second time staying at Man Sze’s. Spock was so excited that he tried jumping out of the car when he heard saw her at the meet up spot! This time Spock stayed 6 nights. Man Sze and her partner planned activities for him to keep him entertained daily, including parks, a sunflower festival, lick mat, etc… and gave very detailed updates every 24 hours so I didn’t need to worry about when I’ll get updates from them. Definitely will recommend them for petsitting!

Elit is our absolute go-to sitter whenever we leave Sisu! She always ensures Sisu feels completely comfortable, safe, and loved in her home. It gives us such peace of mind knowing Sisu receives the same care and affection she gets at home. We couldn't recommend Elit enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
