“I had such an incredible experience with Diana last week. I was in a bind with travel and needed someone to stop in and walk my Golden while my husband was working. Diana made everything super easy, was very professional and sent pictures to show that all was well. My dog loved her, I will absolutely book with her again.”

“Benji is an anxious dog, and does not easily trust or respond well to everyone. Ernie has both steady command, combined with patience and warmth. We really appreciate how he understands Benji's needs, and makes our dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved.”

About: I'm a long time animal lover and I was raised to treat pets with kindness and respect. I love getting to know every individual pet and their quirks. I was lucky to share 16 wonderful years with my cat Maeve - a siamese mix who had very strong opinions. Growing up we had our uncle’s Labrador, and then when Hoosier moved out we adopted a beagle mix who was always getting in to something. In my teens my parents finally brought home the cat I had been begging for! A semi-feral rescue and (it being the 1990’s) an outdoor girlie she never became a people cat - which just made it all the more special when she would curl up beside me every morning before school. In high school I provided after-school care to a very active golden lab, and dog walking for a husky up the street. In our 20's my brother adopted a doberman/shepherd mix, and my best friend has had a series of pit bull and bull mix rescues that I have helped with for the last 20 years. These days I provide care for my dads cockapoo whenever he goes out of town, as well as regular drop in care and play to my friends pets - Onix (a dachshund) and Azalea (Australian Shepherd) & Maka (a little bit of every breed!). I love dogs and cats and because I have been around them all my life I am able to bring a warm calm presence with me when I provide care for them. For drop in care and house sitting size doesn’t matter - however these days for safety reasons I only provide leashed walks for small or medium dogs. I'm looking to provide pet care services near my home. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust my responsibilities to ensure I'm free to give your pet the time and attention they need. I am also available for overnight stays and house sitting. Whether it is a drop in play date, medication dose, food top up and litter box clean up for your cat, or an active walk in the local ravine or a peaceful meander while they sniff every corner, drop in feeding, companionship or medication for your dog; when you're away from home at work or on vacation - I'm happy to help you take care of your pet. Because Rover does not give me a way to adjust my pricing to account for the different levels of care different animals require my house sitting rate includes 15-30 minutes of walking. If your fur baby requires more than that I'm happy to discuss and agree on a reasonable rate to account for the additional care your dog requires (Just the backyard? No increase, 90 minutes twice a day? Lets chat!) I work non-traditionally and am able to be flexible with hours and location and this lets me prioritize your pets needs while you are away I'm happy to maintain your pets routine while you are away to minimize stress - I have worked with feral cats and rescue dogs and take my cues from your pet, whether this means active play, or maintaining a quiet calm atmosphere while they get used to me. I am willing to consider hosting cats in my home, but unfortunately my building prohibits dogs.
“Michael has been very attentive and timely, and my dog, Inanna, loves him! He is very responsive and takes great care in writing detailed report cards for me to review, as well as taking pictures.”

About: I am a musician and puppy yoga teacher with a love and passion for caring for animals. I understand that pets are precious, priceless members of your family and will treat them as such during my care. I have grown up with animals my whole life, small and large, and I am very hardworking and driven. Over my life, I have cared for many pets including two high-energy lab crosses (German shepherd mix and Rottweiler mix), a senior weiner dog, various puppies and kittens (via fostering) and currently have a cat, a pug mix, and a senior Chihuahua/Pomeranian. I am active and young, so I am fit to take dogs (tiny and giant) for walks, playing outside, and doing any cleaning or care around the house you would desire. I have a very flexible job schedule during weekdays which allows for me to adjust my shifts at any time to accommodate your care needs. You will not be disappointed in my services. I have an extremely flexible schedule during the weekdays. Due to this, I can provide animal care and house sitting at any day or time of the week, and with short notice. Because of my flexible job I can accomodate long hours, frequent check-ins and potty breaks, last minute bookings, etc! Due to being well versed with many different breeds of animals, particularly various breeds of dogs, I am totally comfortable with reading body language and approaching the animal at their own pace. I strive to make animals feel welcome, happy, and at ease in my presence.

“Jane was communicative through the process of arranging the walk, arrived promptly, was pleasant and provided great feedback after the walk. I hope to have her walk Herbie again sometime.”

“Kael was great. This was our first experience using Rover and Kael provided great service. He met up with us in advance, was on time, sent photos and a Rover Card for both walks, and fed Kola as requested. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to call on Kael again when needed or to recommend him to others.”

“We were so thrilled with Shannon walking our dog, Puntzi! Shannon was communicative, patient and so understanding, especially with Puntzi who can be leash reactive and requires special training while walking. They walked together through the trails in our area, and our pup is now happily sleeping the afternoon away. We can’t wait to book more walks again for next week!”

Daniela was fabulous with my dog Hunter!! This was my first time using Rover and I was very nervous to leave my boy but my experience with Daniela put me completely at ease. She was very communicative, punctual, flexible, and thoughtful. She even opted to walk him at earlier/later times on high temperature days so he wouldn’t get too hot. She provided lots of detail in each report card and I looked forward to seeing them every day! I highly recommend Daniela and will be booking her in the future.

Katherine is great! I was going away for nearly 3 weeks and needed a dog walker. She made the transition great and her communication was outstanding. It was so amazing how I would get photos of Sophie daily, we actually looked forward to getting them while we were away.

Kateryna has been amazing when it comes to taking care of my 2 fur babies coco and patch , she is always on time, always goes the extra mile to take extra care of them for every single walk , she is 200% reliable and always makes sure the communicate well. Our dog coco and patch love her so much . Highly recommended Kateryna for home visits and walking and caring for the fur babies

Sophie was an incredibly nice walker to work with. She was on time and very interested in the Dogs health and everything that was connected to their well-being. She sent us regular pictures while we were away and made us feel like they were being taken care of perfectly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sophie for anybody’s dog walking or house services.

Sinead has been amazing with our dog Rea. She has been taking Rea on walks three times a week, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. Rea is a very energetic and hyper dog, but Sinead has adapted to her personality so well and knows how to handle her. Sinead is reliable, communicative, and has built a great bond with Rea. We’ve really noticed how comfortable Rea has become with her, and we always feel confident knowing she is in good hands. We look forward to continuing to have Sinead walk Rea!

Gloria has done a wonderful job in working with my dynamic and constantly changing schedule. She responds quickly and provides great updates on how the walk went. She also puts in great effort in understanding your dog’s personality, wants and needs. I highly recommend Gloria and I look forward to continue working with her in the future.

Gyeongji walked my dog Sultang today and I have to leave a review. From start to finish she was punctual, incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond everything I asked for. Honestly, I never believed I could trust someone else to take Sultang out while I was away. But today Gyeongji gave her the best day. She was careful with every little detail and clearly poured real care into the walk. The best sitter I could have asked for.

Great experience. First time using the service. Nigel was great, up beat personality, super friendly with the dog. Explained everything that happened well. Would def book again. Recommend for anyone who is skeptical or nervous with it being a new service to them! A++

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Toronto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
