About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 16, starting with my own! I’ve worked with dogs of varying sizes and breeds, and it is a job I’m so passionate about! My schedule is flexible as I am self employed. You let me know when you need me and I can do my best to help you out! I’ll ensure your pet received the love and care they deserve! I treat each animal like they are my own, and the same goes for your home! I’ll treat it with the kindness and respect you deserve! Your animal will receive excellent walks filled with energy and fun!
About: I'm a long time animal lover and I was raised to treat pets with kindness and respect. I love getting to know every individual pet and their quirks. I was lucky to share 16 wonderful years with my cat Maeve - a siamese mix who had very strong opinions. Growing up we had our uncle’s Labrador, and then when Hoosier moved out we adopted a beagle mix who was always getting in to something. In my teens my parents finally brought home the cat I had been begging for! A semi-feral rescue and (it being the 1990’s) an outdoor girlie she never became a people cat - which just made it all the more special when she would curl up beside me every morning before school. In high school I provided after-school care to a very active golden lab, and dog walking for a husky up the street. In our 20's my brother adopted a doberman/shepherd mix, and my best friend has had a series of pit bull and bull mix rescues that I have helped with for the last 20 years. These days I provide care for my dads cockapoo whenever he goes out of town, as well as regular drop in care and play to my friends pets - Onix (a dachshund) and Azalea (Australian Shepherd) & Maka (a little bit of every breed!). I love dogs and cats and because I have been around them all my life I am able to bring a warm calm presence with me when I provide care for them. For drop in care and house sitting size doesn’t matter - however these days for safety reasons I only provide leashed walks for small or medium dogs. I'm looking to provide pet care services near my home. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust my responsibilities to ensure I'm free to give your pet the time and attention they need. I am also available for overnight stays and house sitting. Whether it is a drop in play date, medication dose, food top up and litter box clean up for your cat, or an active walk in the local ravine or a peaceful meander while they sniff every corner, drop in feeding, companionship or medication for your dog; when you're away from home at work or on vacation - I'm happy to help you take care of your pet. Because Rover does not give me a way to adjust my pricing to account for the different levels of care different animals require my house sitting rate includes 15-30 minutes of walking. If your fur baby requires more than that I'm happy to discuss and agree on a reasonable rate to account for the additional care your dog requires (Just the backyard? No increase, 90 minutes twice a day? Lets chat!) I work non-traditionally and am able to be flexible with hours and location and this lets me prioritize your pets needs while you are away I'm happy to maintain your pets routine while you are away to minimize stress - I have worked with feral cats and rescue dogs and take my cues from your pet, whether this means active play, or maintaining a quiet calm atmosphere while they get used to me. I am willing to consider hosting cats in my home, but unfortunately my building prohibits dogs.
“We just had another fantastic week with Michael. As I mentioned before in my previous review; he’s unbelievably, kind, incredibly professional, super safe, warm, caring, genuine, supportive and Lester loves him. The bond they’ve established so quickly is indicative of his natural and wonderful way with animals and people. What more could you want or ask for…? Thanks again for everything Michael. 😁👍”

“Ash made our first experience using Rover incredible! She was responsive and kindly offered to do a meet-and-greet before the scheduled walk. She kept us updated throughout and after the walk with messages and photos, which we really appreciated. Thank you!”

“Our recent rescue dog Bean is generally a bit suspicious of new people, but he took to Diana right away! She is very experienced with dogs, understands how to manage their temperament, and even teaches good walking habits. Almost right away after a few Diana walks we noticed Bean pulling less, sticking to the path, and generally staying closer to us on walks. If you want your dog to have a fun walk, to come home tired and relaxed, and to be a good boy, Diana is the one to call!”

“Eric is truly wonderful, caring, friendly, warm, welcoming, very courteous and extremely vigilant. I was thoroughly impressed by our meet-and-greet we had the day before he walked my little girl. Eric asked a plethora of extremely important questions regarding Beajou most of which I was going to discuss with him before he walked her. As a Medical Alert dog for my epilepsy there are many instructions that must be followed during Beajou's walks - Eric covered everything and some in our meet-and-greet. My Beajou had a fantastic, energetic, fun-filled, healthy adventure with Eric. I received several really fun videos along their walk, which I love receiving. Judging by the map Eric sent they went to all my girl's favourite places. I always provide a water bottle, her collapsible bowl and a water spray bottle in the summer for cool down. Eric made sure my girl kept hydrated, was sprayed down to keep cool and walked in the shade 90% of the time (it is necessary to walk on the concrete at times to get to the Beltline which Beajou loves). I am absolutely thrilled to have found Eric on Rover and will definitely be booking him again to walk my girl. I highly, highly recommend Eric for your fur-baby needs.”
“Benjamin was able to walk my vizsla buddy with very little input and follow instructions from the first time with no hassle. Booking him again for another walk. Nice job man!”

“Artin was punctual, loving, thoughtful and caring to my furbaby dog Stella! Would highly recommend them, my dog is shy at first but Artin totally won her over. Don’t hesitate to book, your dog will be happy!”

About: Leaving your pet behind is a lot easier when you know they’re in good hands. I’m a big-time pet person who loves getting to know each pet's unique personality and making sure they get the kind of care they’re most comfortable with, whether they’re cuddly, shy, playful, or prefer their space. I’ve also cared for a chronically ill cat long-term, so I’m comfortable with pets who need extra patience, consistency, and attention to their routine. And while you’re away, you’ll get plenty of photos and videos so you can see what your pet is up to and feel connected to them. My goal is for your pet to feel happy and cared for, and for you to have one less thing to worry about. I currently work part time at a pet store, but have wide availability throughout the day and week, including weekends. I'm flexible and can work with your schedule. :) Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I follow your instructions and routines carefully, keep doors and windows secure, and make sure they’re safe and comfortable throughout their stay. I also take the time to notice changes in behaviour or anything else that seems unusual. Drop-in visits: I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show my own, and keep you updated with photos, videos, and anything you should know while you’re away.
About: I have loved spending time with animals ever since I can remember. I have looked after pets for family, friends and family of friends and never met a fur baby I didn't absolutely adore. I trained my rescue pup on my own, she had a rough start but has come a long way and gets along with everyone and I couldn't be prouder. I have also trained some of my friends pups. Although I haven't trained cats they do seem to like me most often than not. I’m a part-time worker with plenty of flexibility to spend quality time with your pets. I’m available on weekdays after 12 PM and throughout the weekend, with plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, and keeping your pets company. I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience caring for dogs, including my own little pup. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routines, including feeding schedules, walks, crate time, and other care instructions you provide. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. I can also administer oral medications as needed. However, I’m not comfortable administering injectable medications, so I’m always upfront about the types of care I can provide. For off-leash outings, I’ll only take pets to an off-leash park when it’s appropriate for their temperament and with your approval. If caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with care and respect while keeping your pet comfortable in their familiar surroundings.
“Nigel is the best!!!! Super friendly and went above and beyond to follow all my instructions. Always on time and took great care of my baby Cooper. I think they totally forged a secret friendship while I was at work and I hope they'll go on more adventures together in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Jane has been absolutely wonderful caring for our two girls. She has been tremendously flexible with timing and scheduling and our girls fell in love with her immediately- even Avery who usually is shy at first. We feel lucky to have Jane in our dogs’ lives!”

“Selina was lovely with my dog, Ernie, who had a bit of an attitude. She was great with communication, updating me regularly and bringing any concerns (poops, key issues, etc) up right away. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy! I hope you’ll take him back for more walks soon!”

“I used Kael while I was away on vacation, had never met him so I was unsure. But my dog loves him, he was so incredibly helpful by being responsive and flexible. I will be working him into my regular walking of my dog”

About: Experienced Cat Sitter I have been raised with multiple cats throughout my childhood. Currently have a catbaby of my own: simba. Experienced in cat behaviour, feeding, grooming as well as providing medication For me, each cat has their own unique personality and deserves the same personalized care and affection. I provide plenty of play time and pampering :) I will be available on weekends and weekdays (if it's a holiday) My care giving routine is quality oriented and not time bound so if the pet needs more care or attention I am happy to extend a little beyond. IMPORTANT: My visits usually last around 45-60 mins depending on the care and attention the pet requires so it’s not time bound. I live in an apartment building with inbuilt security system.I provide supervised access to the balcony and occasional walks to nearby parks (if approved) incase the cat wants some fresh air.
About: I have taken care of dogs since childhood always enjoying their companion and free spirit. I have a lot of patience and energy to play with dogs of all ages. I work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible 😊 Just let me know about your booking at least 1 hour in advance to be on time :))) Im currently offering walking services as my schedule is very flexible and I can provide a good walk for your little one. Just let me know at what time I need to be there.
About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had a dog of my own, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to care for many dogs and cats belonging to friends, family, and through pet sitting. I currently have two cats of my own, so I understand the responsibility and consistency that comes with caring for pets every day. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines — from playful puppies and energetic dogs to senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I’m happy to handle feeding, walks, playtime, litter box and general clean-up, administering medications when needed, and making sure pets stay comfortable and on their normal routine. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual. I pay attention to their body language and behaviour, respect their boundaries, and take the time to build trust rather than expecting them to immediately warm up to me. Whether your pet wants an active play session, a long walk, some cuddles, or simply a calm presence around them, I’m happy to meet them where they are. 🐾 Since I work from home full-time, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have the flexibility to structure my day around the needs and routine of the pets in my care, whether that means regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, or simply giving them some company throughout the day. For pets staying in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they can settle in and feel at home. I also have two friendly, playful cats who are comfortable around other animals, so I’m happy to welcome pets who are comfortable in a multi-pet household. Because I’m home throughout the day, your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches of time. I’m able to give them regular attention, supervision, and interaction while still maintaining their usual routine as much as possible. My goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, calm, and as close to home as I can.

I had a great experience with Mary Elle! She was patient, attentive, and followed all my specific instructions. She cared about my dog and made sure he was comfortable and happy. I really appreciated the updates and the extra care she provided. I would definitely recommend Mary Elle to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!

Annika is super nice and very reliable! She is great with taking our dog on daily walks. He loves spending time and getting exercise with her. Annika is quick to reply, punctual, and always provides us with plenty of detail on how the walks went. She is very responsible and I would not hesitate to recommend her!

Words cannot express how grateful we were to have Jenny as our dog walker! Her communication style and reliability made us feel constantly at ease. She always went the extra mile to make sure Gryffin was taken care of. We are moving and it’s going to be very hard to replace her!

Madeleine is truly an absolute delight. Madeleine arrived every day (5 day walk) with a lovely, welcoming, beautiful, bright and infectious smile. Our first meet-and-greet Madeleine listened intently to specific instructions for my little girl as she is a Medical Alert dog for my epilepsy and as such certain criteria must be followed. Madeleine is extremely vigilant with caregiving and is very observant of behavioural changes and provided updates on any anomalies with respect to movements, walking speeds and more, (eg: points out lethargy, increased energy, etc.) Madeleine's cheerful, happy, uplifting disposition was immediately felt by myself and my little girl. Beajou was excited as soon as Madeleine started up the hallway for their first walk and her tail was wagging wildly as she ran straight to Madeleine. We all know our fur-babies instinctively feel a kind and caring person. Their walks were awesome as Beajou received a fun-filled, energetic and healthy adventure each day and they went to all her favourite places. B came home skipping up the hallway wearing a happy smile and then after her fruit treats "boom" sound asleep from her hour workout. I received plenty of adorable photos which I love. I haven't been able to walk my little girl for quite awhile due to illness so the pictures truly uplift my spirits. I highly and confidently recommend Madeleine for all your fur-baby needs.
Selina was lovely with my dog, Ernie, who had a bit of an attitude. She was great with communication, updating me regularly and bringing any concerns (poops, key issues, etc) up right away. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy! I hope you’ll take him back for more walks soon!

Nishan has been absolutely wonderful with our pets. It is clear she has an understanding of animal behaviours and cues and a love for them as well. Our somewhat-anxious dog was immediately calm in her presence at our meet & greet and Nishan has taken extra care to get to know her and make her comfortable. We look forward to continuing working with her.:)

Alaia did an amazing job walking our dog Sophie over the last 5 days! She was incredibly reliable, punctual, and took excellent care of everything. She asked all the right questions during our meet-and-greet, sent us great updates and photos every day, and even guided us through the different features of the Rover app, since we were first-time users. I highly recommend her and will definitely book again!

I cannot recommend [Name] highly enough. She went far beyond being an amazing dog walker — she was there for us when we needed her most. When my dog went missing, she didn’t just offer words of encouragement. She got in her car, spent an entire hour driving around searching for him, and kept looking for leads. She even found him through a neighbour’s lost-dog post and helped us get the information we needed to bring him home. Her dedication, compassion, and genuine love for animals were incredible. In an incredibly stressful and frightening situation, she stepped up without hesitation and treated my dog as if he were her own. You can tell a lot about someone by how they act when there is nothing in it for them — and she showed us exactly what kind of person she is: kind, caring, loyal, proactive, and truly exceptional. We are beyond grateful. She didn’t just walk our dog — she helped bring him home. ❤️🐾 If you are looking for someone you can trust completely with your beloved pet, I would give her 10 stars if I could. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great Dog Walker Artin is very professional, friendly, punctual, and reliable. Artin walked my senior dog, and when they returned, my dog was relaxed, happy, and clearly had a great time. I highly recommend Artin to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog walker!

Wenwen is a very responsible person. She asked me in detail about my dog's preferences and usual routes, and she also recorded my dog's behavior during walks in detail. She also took a lot of photos. I hope to have more opportunities to work with her in the future.

We’re so happy with Arya! Luna absolutely loved her and was always so excited to see her. Arya sent us photos and updates after every walk, which was so nice while we were away. Sometimes Luna didn’t even want to go home, and Arya would spend some extra time walking with her. You can really tell she loves dogs and genuinely enjoys spending time with them. We’d definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Toronto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
