“Eric is truly wonderful, caring, friendly, warm, welcoming, very courteous and extremely vigilant. I was thoroughly impressed by our meet-and-greet we had the day before he walked my little girl. Eric asked a plethora of extremely important questions regarding Beajou most of which I was going to discuss with him before he walked her. As a Medical Alert dog for my epilepsy there are many instructions that must be followed during Beajou's walks - Eric covered everything and some in our meet-and-greet. My Beajou had a fantastic, energetic, fun-filled, healthy adventure with Eric. I received several really fun videos along their walk, which I love receiving. Judging by the map Eric sent they went to all my girl's favourite places. I always provide a water bottle, her collapsible bowl and a water spray bottle in the summer for cool down. Eric made sure my girl kept hydrated, was sprayed down to keep cool and walked in the shade 90% of the time (it is necessary to walk on the concrete at times to get to the Beltline which Beajou loves). I am absolutely thrilled to have found Eric on Rover and will definitely be booking him again to walk my girl. I highly, highly recommend Eric for your fur-baby needs.”
About: I'm a long time animal lover and I was raised to treat pets with kindness and respect. I love getting to know every individual pet and their quirks. I was lucky to share 16 wonderful years with my cat Maeve - a siamese mix who had very strong opinions. Growing up we had our uncle’s Labrador, and then when Hoosier moved out we adopted a beagle mix who was always getting in to something. In my teens my parents finally brought home the cat I had been begging for! A semi-feral rescue and (it being the 1990’s) an outdoor girlie she never became a people cat - which just made it all the more special when she would curl up beside me every morning before school. In high school I provided after-school care to a very active golden lab, and dog walking for a husky up the street. In our 20's my brother adopted a doberman/shepherd mix, and my best friend has had a series of pit bull and bull mix rescues that I have helped with for the last 20 years. These days I provide care for my dads cockapoo whenever he goes out of town, as well as regular drop in care and play to my friends pets - Onix (a dachshund) and Azalea (Australian Shepherd) & Maka (a little bit of every breed!). I love dogs and cats and because I have been around them all my life I am able to bring a warm calm presence with me when I provide care for them. For drop in care and house sitting size doesn’t matter - however these days for safety reasons I only provide leashed walks for small or medium dogs. I'm looking to provide pet care services near my home. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust my responsibilities to ensure I'm free to give your pet the time and attention they need. I am also available for overnight stays and house sitting. Whether it is a drop in play date, medication dose, food top up and litter box clean up for your cat, or an active walk in the local ravine or a peaceful meander while they sniff every corner, drop in feeding, companionship or medication for your dog; when you're away from home at work or on vacation - I'm happy to help you take care of your pet. Because Rover does not give me a way to adjust my pricing to account for the different levels of care different animals require my house sitting rate includes 15-30 minutes of walking. If your fur baby requires more than that I'm happy to discuss and agree on a reasonable rate to account for the additional care your dog requires (Just the backyard? No increase, 90 minutes twice a day? Lets chat!) I work non-traditionally and am able to be flexible with hours and location and this lets me prioritize your pets needs while you are away I'm happy to maintain your pets routine while you are away to minimize stress - I have worked with feral cats and rescue dogs and take my cues from your pet, whether this means active play, or maintaining a quiet calm atmosphere while they get used to me. I am willing to consider hosting cats in my home, but unfortunately my building prohibits dogs.
“Michael is a real pro. His love for dogs and skilled handling of our very enthusiastic pup gave us every confidence in having him take her for daily walks. He is friendly, always on time and a good communicator. Tosh arrives home from her outings happy and keen for their next walk. We are very fortunate to have Michael helping us.”

“Benji is an anxious dog, and does not easily trust or respond well to everyone. Ernie has both steady command, combined with patience and warmth. We really appreciate how he understands Benji's needs, and makes our dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved.”

“I can't recommend Diana enough! During her very first walk with my dog, she walked into a stressful situation where he had managed to eat two boxes of chocolate. She handled it with incredible professionalism and speed. She notified me immediately, told me how he was acting so I was reassured, sent photos of the evidence, and even left out the wrappers so we could calculate exactly how much he had ingested for the vet. To top it off, she actually came back to the apartment later to move the remaining packaging to a secure area to ensure he wouldn't get into anything else. Her quick thinking and clear communication were so reassuring on a day where I wasn't immediately available to come home. If you want someone who is observant, calm under pressure, and truly cares about your pet’s safety, hire Diana!”

About: Animals and I have always had a very special bond. I would be honoured to meet your pets and give your family a sense of peace knowing your pet is safe and happy. I have watched family and friend's dogs over the years, both short and long term. As a pet parent myself (11+ years with a dog and 2+ years with a cat), I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet in the care of someone else, and I do not take your trust in me lightly. I have a deep sense of responsibility and respect for you and your fuzzy family members and will update you along the way so you can see in real-time how loved and safe your pet is with me :0) I have experience with: - puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, and cats -- of various breeds - administering medication - bathing - positive reinforcement - play and enrichment I currently need a minimum of 1-2 day notice to assess my availability for pet care as my work schedule fluctuates. When I am with your pet, they are my #1 priority. I am playful, attentive, and down for a snuggle! I love taking dogs on walks by the ravine and am a firm believer in mandatory tick checks and paw wiping after going outside. I walk with a short, but relaxed leash for optimum control and love giving them a chance to smell all the smells their heart desires.
“Patty was very communicative and responded to our requests without any issues Henry our dog can be difficult at times yet she was very patient and kind. Henry seemed to like her a lot. She sent multiple pics during their walks. From this experience alone, I will have no worries going on vacation again and will definitely reach out to Patty in the future”

About: Have had my current dog since she was a puppy. She is now 13. Prior to this I had shelter dogs both young and old I'm retired. Available all day every day for one on one walks. I have plenty of time for walking your dog as my dog is a senior and only wants short walks. Currently only offering walks. But in future will offer sitting at my home or your home. I live near the Cedarvale Ravine and Cedarvale dog park
“Ash is a top-tier dog walker! While I was away, she helped my mom and aunt take such good care of my Tyson. I would HIGHLY recommend booking with Ash. Your loved one will be in great hands. I will definitely be booking Ash again in the future.”

About: I have been trained at a local animal shelter as a cat and dog caretaker, with frequent training upgrades in areas of medical needs, behaviour, and senior care. In daily life, I have been happy to be a pet sitter, walker, and caretaker for friends and neighbours for more than a decade! As a student, I am flexible with my schedule and available most days, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends. If needed, I am able to offer house-sitting for extended periods of time. I am happy to follow a steady, existing routine to eliminate any stress for your pet. My approach is a balance of play and a calm, safe space, following the direction of the animal.
“Jummy was wonderful and really helped us out. I just had a baby, couldn't handle the stsirs to our walk up apartment, and my husband had to go back to work. She took our last minute booking for 2 walks a day for a week and a half. She was always on time, friendly, and communicative. Our dog loved her and was always jazzed when he came back. We were so worried about tbe situation and she took all that off our plate and was great with our little guy.”

About: Hello my name is Aliyaah! I have always loved animals ever since I was little. I am new to Rover, I've been caring for animals for over 8 years now. I really believe our pets are family - they deserve care, comfort, and lots of affection, especially when you're not home. Whether your dog needs a fun, energizing walk or your cat just wants some quiet company and cuddles, I'm here to give them the attention they deserve. When your pet is with me, you'll receive: 💯Regular photo and video updates 💯Quick responses to any questions If your pet has a routine I will follow it exactly as you request and will make sure your pet has the best care. Whether your dog is energetic, playful, or just wants all the cuddles, I would adjust to their personality and make sure they feel at home. I know how to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable even when you're away. With me, your dog will get plenty of walks, going to the park, cuddles, and attention, and I'll make sure they feel right at home. My ultimate goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your best friend/baby is happy, relaxed, and well cared for. My sister and I saved a puppy “Spicy” from the harsh streets of St.Lucia and brought her back up to Toronto for a better life and that whole experience has made me have an unconditional love for caring for animals. I’ve had all kinds of pets from birds, hamsters, dogs and fish. Pets are so loyal, sweet and remind me every day how important it is to show kindness. It would be my greatest honour to be there for you and your fur baby. ☺️✨ I go on long walks already since I work from home. So going on walks and taking care of pets would definitely fit my routine. I am also open to many different kind of animals or more than one and I am also available for home check ups and overnight stays as well. Well firstly I would make sure to properly introduce myself by being soft and kind speaking in a gentle tone. Then make your pet feel safe by creating a bed or sitting on the floor around them so they get used to me and my sent. Treats also help so I would make sure to give treats and a lot of encouragement and toys being playful, gentle and not invasive. Each dog is different and I’m very good at adapting to any situation.
“Artin was punctual, loving, thoughtful and caring to my furbaby dog Stella! Would highly recommend them, my dog is shy at first but Artin totally won her over. Don’t hesitate to book, your dog will be happy!”

“Kael is amazing with my two terriers! Rosie who doesn't love every new person she meets, loved Kael right away. His calm, loving demeanor is so important and appreciated. Kael treated my dogs as his own, learned their little quirks and was amazing with them! I will definitely be booking him again!”

Diana is a sheer delight. She has a calm yet energetic demeanor which lends to an excellent dog walker. Diana is extremely vigilant with my girl's care as I provide a steel-walled water bottle, a small spray bottle with water and my girl's collapsible bowl and Diana always stops for water breaks and sprays my little girl's underbelly and other areas-this keeps my baby cool. I receive a plethora of great photos which I love. I know my little girl gets an energetic, healthy, fun-filled walk with Diana because Beajou comes home skipping up the hallway, panting (but not overly), comes in the house, goes thru her usual clean up routine and then she lays on her cooling mat and is out like a light. Happy fur-baby, Happy Mommy. I highly recommend Diana as an excellent care-giver for all your baby's needs.
Yibo was absolutely wonderful! My dog is very nervous around new people, and Yibo was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. He went well above and beyond to earn Ace's trust, calm him down, and eventually get him out for his walk. I really appreciated the extra time and care he put in. I highly recommend Yibo to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog walker. Thank you so much! 🐾😊

Brian has been so kind and caring with my senior dog. He is patient, attentive, and clearly great with animals. He also took the time to listen carefully to my requests and made me feel comfortable that he would handle my dog with extra care, which I really appreciated. He is kind and respectful in all interactions with my family, as well. I've used him for several walks now and will happily book with him again. He made things smooth and communicates clearly. I highly recommend Brian!!

We hired Marco for a temporary period after I broke my ankle. We are so protective of our pups, and found the best walker EVER to take some of the pressure off our household during this stressful time. Not only did Marco treat our babies as if they were his own, he put ME at ease knowing that they loved him just as much. Always friendly, we found him to be reliable, punctual and trustworthy. Yes, Five stars....because there aren't six!

Danielle is a wonderful person who is both friendly and professional. Sam is older and a bit more tentative now with new people and Danielle has been slow and patient with him. Sam is enjoying their walks and we continue to use Danielle as our daily walker. Thank you Danielle for your gentle and loving care ❤️

Nigel was absolutely wonderful with Odin! He was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about making Odin feel comfortable. He really went above and beyond, and it was clear he treated Odin like one of his own. Odin is a very shy dog and can be slow to warm up to new people, but he took to Nigel right away, which says a lot. Knowing Odin was in such caring hands gave me so much peace of mind. I couldn't recommend Nigel more highly and will definitely be booking with him again. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy!

Ira looked after our boy Murphy twice and she was excellent! It was clear that from the moment Murphy met Ira that he felt very comfortable around her and trusting. Ira is reliable, professional, and truly cares about animals. We always felt like Murphy was in good hands. Thanks!

Jummy was wonderful and really helped us out. I just had a baby, couldn't handle the stsirs to our walk up apartment, and my husband had to go back to work. She took our last minute booking for 2 walks a day for a week and a half. She was always on time, friendly, and communicative. Our dog loved her and was always jazzed when he came back. We were so worried about tbe situation and she took all that off our plate and was great with our little guy.

It is always wonderful to see Nigel walking up the hallway with his beautiful, welcoming smile. My little girl's tail wags wildly when she sees Nigel. Nigel was incredibly vigilant during the July 13, 14 and 15 extreme heatwave. He gave my baby the water I provided, sprayed her body with her water spray bottle and kept her safely in the shade and off the concrete. I trust Nigel implicitly with my little girl as he is extremely cognizant of all the conditions that may impact my girl during summer and winter. Definitely 10 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Toronto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
