“Dustin was fantastic with Chester! He’s reliable, caring, and took great care of him. He’s also great with communication and responds promptly to messages. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was a child! Growing up I would spend time with my uncles dog Diesel! I love walking dogs and teaching them new tricks and of course giving them lots of treats to reinforce good behaviour and habits and maybe even an extra treat just for being cute ! i’m excited to offer pet care services! I’m responsible, caring, and passionate about making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while under my care. I’m happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, and giving your pets plenty of love and attention! I’m very flexible and looking forward to discussing and following your pets preferences and routines ! I live in a condo & have a dog park nearby. Depending on your needs and routines that you have established for your pets I can care for them as needed so they can still maintain a sense of comfort when they’re away from home!
About: I have love dogs and cats and have many years of experience caring for both. I currently have two senior cats (my furry children) who are a healthy 18 years old. I have had them since they were six weeks old. I have also used Rover's pet sitting services for them when I go away. I am someone you can rely on and trust with you beloved companions and family members. I am currently working part time, so I will have a lot of free time to come to your home and visit and care for your fur babies. I can do an overnight stay in your home but only for one night because of my own cats at home. I can't have your pets in my home because of my senior cats but I can come to your home to visit and also go for walks if need be.
“Michael is a real pro. His love for dogs and skilled handling of our very enthusiastic pup gave us every confidence in having him take her for daily walks. He is friendly, always on time and a good communicator. Tosh arrives home from her outings happy and keen for their next walk. We are very fortunate to have Michael helping us.”

About: ⛑️ PET FIRST AID/CPR CERTIFIED ⛑️ Leaving your pet behind is a lot easier when you know they’re in good hands. I’m a big-time pet person who loves getting to know each pet's unique personality and making sure they get the kind of care they’re most comfortable with, whether they’re cuddly, shy, playful, or prefer their space. I’ve also cared for a chronically ill cat long-term, so I’m comfortable with pets who need extra patience, consistency, and attention to their routine. And while you’re away, you’ll get plenty of photos and videos so you can see what your pet is up to and feel connected to them. My goal is for your pet to feel happy and cared for, and for you to have one less thing to worry about. I currently work part time at a pet store, but have wide availability throughout the day and week, including weekends. I'm flexible and can work with your schedule. :) Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I follow your instructions and routines carefully, keep doors and windows secure, and make sure they’re safe and comfortable throughout their stay. I also take the time to notice changes in behaviour or anything else that seems unusual. Drop-in visits: I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want someone to show my own, and keep you updated with photos, videos, and anything you should know while you’re away.
“Nigel was absolutely wonderful with Odin! He was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about making Odin feel comfortable. He really went above and beyond, and it was clear he treated Odin like one of his own. Odin is a very shy dog and can be slow to warm up to new people, but he took to Nigel right away, which says a lot. Knowing Odin was in such caring hands gave me so much peace of mind. I couldn't recommend Nigel more highly and will definitely be booking with him again. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy!”

About: I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them. I am patient, responsible, and attentive to each pet’s personality and needs. I can help with walking, feeding, playtime, cleaning, and giving pets comfort and attention while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, calm, and cared for. My schedule is flexible, and pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship while making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for throughout the day. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed whether they are in my home or in their owner’s home. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions if needed, and give them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I keep the environment clean, calm, and secure, and I always respect the pet’s personality and needs.
About: I'm a long time animal lover and I was raised to treat pets with kindness and respect. I love getting to know every individual pet and their quirks. I was lucky to share 16 wonderful years with my cat Maeve - a siamese mix who had very strong opinions. Growing up we had our uncle’s Labrador, and then when Hoosier moved out we adopted a beagle mix who was always getting in to something. In my teens my parents finally brought home the cat I had been begging for! A semi-feral rescue and (it being the 1990’s) an outdoor girlie she never became a people cat - which just made it all the more special when she would curl up beside me every morning before school. In high school I provided after-school care to a very active golden lab, and dog walking for a husky up the street. In our 20's my brother adopted a doberman/shepherd mix, and my best friend has had a series of pit bull and bull mix rescues that I have helped with for the last 20 years. These days I provide care for my dads cockapoo whenever he goes out of town, as well as regular drop in care and play to my friends pets - Onix (a dachshund) and Azalea (Australian Shepherd) & Maka (a little bit of every breed!). I love dogs and cats and because I have been around them all my life I am able to bring a warm calm presence with me when I provide care for them. For drop in care and house sitting size doesn’t matter - however these days for safety reasons I only provide leashed walks for small or medium dogs. I'm looking to provide pet care services near my home. I have a flexible schedule and can easily adjust my responsibilities to ensure I'm free to give your pet the time and attention they need. I accept a maximum of 3 bookings per day (one house sit, and up to two drop ins or dog walks) this allows me to make sure every one gets lots of love and attention, and to keep my rates low. If you wish for me to look after your pet exclusively during a stay please let me know and I am happy to do my best to accommodate you. Whether it is a drop in play date, medication dose, food top up and litter box clean up for your cat, or an active walk in the local ravine or a peaceful meander while they sniff every corner, drop in feeding, companionship or medication for your dog; when you're away from home at work or on vacation - I'm happy to help you take care of your pet. Because Rover does not give me a way to adjust my pricing to account for the different levels of care different animals require my house sitting rate includes 15-30 minutes of walking. If your fur baby requires more than that I'm happy to discuss and agree on a reasonable rate to account for the additional care your dog requires (Just the backyard? No increase, 90 minutes twice a day? Lets chat!) I work non-traditionally and am able to be flexible with hours and location and this lets me prioritize your pets needs while you are away. I'm happy to maintain your pets routine while you are away to minimize stress - I have worked with feral cats and rescue dogs and take my cues from your pet, whether this means active play, or maintaining a quiet calm atmosphere while they get used to me. I am willing to consider hosting cats in my home, but unfortunately my building prohibits dogs.
About: Hi, I’m David and yes, I’m that guy who lights up the moment any animal walks into the room, dogs, cats, and everything in between. As a Veterinary Assistant, I bring more than a leash and good intentions. I understand animal behaviour, body language, and the little things that tell you a pup is happy, anxious, or just in need of a cuddle. Every dog from the bounciest pup, to the senior that needs to take things slow, will get my full attention and genuine care. I share my home with my rescue husky, who is my little wolfie, so I know firsthand what it means to love a dog like family. Why Pet Parents Trust Me: • Veterinary Assistant with clinical experience in animal handling and medication administration • Skilled in recognizing animal behavior and body language • Comfortable with dogs (and cats!) of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments • Reliable, calm, and committed to treating your pets like my own My mission is simple: to give your furry family members the exercise, attention, and care they deserve, while giving you peace of mind. I have an open schedule Monday to Friday, and am available 9am to 5pm for walks, and home visits to provide reliable pet care survices. I am able to do house visits through out the day for your furry friend, whether they are a puppy who needs potty breaks, or senor that need that extra gentle care.
“Benjamin has been wonderful with Lana. He is always punctual, patient, and caring with her, even when she can be a little moody. We feel very comfortable knowing Lana is in his care and appreciate how reliable he is.”

“Our recent rescue dog Bean is generally a bit suspicious of new people, but he took to Diana right away! She is very experienced with dogs, understands how to manage their temperament, and even teaches good walking habits. Almost right away after a few Diana walks we noticed Bean pulling less, sticking to the path, and generally staying closer to us on walks. If you want your dog to have a fun walk, to come home tired and relaxed, and to be a good boy, Diana is the one to call!”

“Ash is a top-tier dog walker! While I was away, she helped my mom and aunt take such good care of my Tyson. I would HIGHLY recommend booking with Ash. Your loved one will be in great hands. I will definitely be booking Ash again in the future.”

“Artin was wonderful with my dog Alice. It was a last minute booking and they were very communicative, prompt and took so much care of Alice. I got detailed updates on each walk with photos. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you Artin!!”

About: I have loved spending time with animals ever since I can remember. I have looked after pets for family, friends and family of friends and never met a fur baby I didn't absolutely adore. I trained my rescue pup on my own, she had a rough start but has come a long way and gets along with everyone and I couldn't be prouder. I have also trained some of my friends pups. Although I haven't trained cats they do seem to like me most often than not. I’m a part-time worker with plenty of flexibility to spend quality time with your pets. I’m available on weekdays after 12 PM and throughout the weekend, with plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, and keeping your pets company. I’ve always loved being around animals and have experience caring for dogs, including my own little pup. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routines, including feeding schedules, walks, crate time, and other care instructions you provide. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. I can also administer oral medications as needed. However, I’m not comfortable administering injectable medications, so I’m always upfront about the types of care I can provide. For off-leash outings, I’ll only take pets to an off-leash park when it’s appropriate for their temperament and with your approval. If caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with care and respect while keeping your pet comfortable in their familiar surroundings.
“I used Kael while I was away on vacation, had never met him so I was unsure. But my dog loves him, he was so incredibly helpful by being responsive and flexible. I will be working him into my regular walking of my dog”

Siyu is absolutely amazing! She was so happy and patient with my dog Maru. She was also very thorough giving me so many pictures and updates about how he is doing. Her attentiveness, kindness, and patience makes me so comfortable when leaving my dog in her care. With her any animal is having a great time

It is always an absolute delight to see Diana with her upbeat personality, energetic demeanor and refreshing, lovely, welcoming smile. I feel so relaxed when Diana is walking my little girl as she is incredibly vigilant with her care, advises of any changes in behaviour or movements and let's my little one lead the way on their walks. Diana always ensures Beajou is well hydrated as the pictures of her drinking from her pink bowl or the Beltline fountains are tooooo cute. My girl always comes home skipping up the hallway which is how I know she had a high-energy, fun-filled, adventurous and great walk. I adore all the pictures Diana takes of my little girl on her walks as I have been unable to take her out myself for quite some time due to health issues. I highly recommend Diana to take excellent care of your fur-baby while giving them a super fun-filled walk!!
Summer was incredible with Sparky. She was super accommodating and was flexible for what sparky needed on the day. Was great for Communication and putting me an ease. I had her doing two walks a day and from the photos I received and the updates I got, I know sparky was having the best time.

Shupu did a great job with Yi Yi! He showed up right on time, communicated clearly, and sent a photo update during the walk, which I really appreciated. Yi Yi came home happy and tired out. It was our first time booking with Shupu, but definitely not the last. Highly recommend!

Dimitri was fantastic with our golden retriever, Karl! He has such a calm, patient demeanor and really took the time to build a genuine bond with Karl, who isn't always the easiest dog. Dimitri was reliable and polite, and we loved that he sent updates and pictures during every walk so we always knew Karl was in good hands. He even kept Karl safe and calm during the recent storm in Toronto, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend Dimitri and will definitely be booking him again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Toronto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
