Scott has been an excellent walker for Milo! We really needed some extra support for a few weeks and were glad to be able to rely on an experienced dog walker in the neighborhood. We also appreciated his flexibility to accomodate our needs and schedules. Scott took our pup on nice long walks, which gave him tons of exercise, and he greatly enjoyed playing with the other friendly dogs on shared walks. The tail wag says it all - thank you!

About: I have always been around animals, throughout my entire life. I have dog sit and walked a variety of dogs, from Chihuahuas to American Bullies. I have a lot of energy to play with energetic dogs, and am very patient. I love to be organized and keep note of everything I need to properly take care of your pet, as well as stay attentive to keep them safe. I am currently in university, however my hours are flexible and only fall on two days. Either way we can work around with what you need and I am very lenient. I believe that different pets require different needs, and I would like to provide a comfortable and safe environment. This includes: Frequent walks and potty breaks, time to play, food and dietary needs, medication necessities, and if your animal likes affection, I would more than welcome that.

We would highly recommend Naomi! Naomi had been walking our new rescue dog for weeks. Despite his high energy, she's been so good with him, keeping us in the loop on what happened during the walk, giving us tips and helping us find a better harness for him. Her dog knowledge is exceptional! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Naomi for your pet 🙂

About: Disconnect while you are busy or away, knowing that your dog will be in a calm, low-key household where I treat every dog as one of my own! I have raised and trained puppies, cared for senior dogs, loved and accommodated rescues. I no longer have my own pups and am happy to visit with new ones anytime! Every dog has their own personality and lifestyle, you just need to tell me their routine and history, I'll make sure they are happy and comfortable! I have a flexible, dog friendly job. With notice I can rearrange my week to hang out with a furry friend at my house! If they are ok in the car I can bring them with me on my dog friendly daily routine, or I can keep them in their preferred environment, you tell me what they like! I do not have a yard but live on a park. There are no fences so your dog must be on a leash with me. If they stay at my home they have lots of space to be comfortable and if they aren't good being alone, don't worry, I don't like leaving dogs alone!

About: Hello furry families! my name is Sofia, and I’m a reliable and compassionate pet sitter who truly enjoys caring for animals and creating a safe, loving environment for them while their owners are away. I offer a range of pet-sitting services, including feeding, fresh water refills, walks, playtime, companionship, litter box or clean-ups, and I am always happy to follow any specific routines or care instructions provided by you. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I always aim to maintain their normal schedules and comfort levels. I have experience caring for animals in both home and shelter environments. I’ve worked at animal shelters, where I assisted with feeding, cleaning, enrichment activities, and helping animals feel calm and secure. In addition, I’ve regularly cared for pets belonging to family members and friends, providing daily walks, playtime, and general care. These experiences have helped me become attentive to different pet personalities, energy levels, and individual needs. I am patient, responsible, and observant, and I take pride in making sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and building trust with them, whether that means energetic play or quiet companionship. In terms of availability, I currently have flexible availability and can dedicate quality time and attention to pets throughout the day, as well as nights if needed they can stay with me. This allows me to be reliable with visits, walks, and extended care, and to adjust to each pet’s needs. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring, capable hands. I have open availability, for both mornings and nights! I understand each family is different therefore I’m flexible to accommodate time for the furry friends. Depending on your schedule we could arrange occasional care or consistent full-time care. When I care for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment. I make sure all harmful items are secured, windows and doors are safe, and pets have a quiet space to relax. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding times, play, and rest, to help them feel at ease. I keep their area clean, monitor their behavior and well-being, and make sure they feel cared for, safe, and comfortable throughout their stay.

Sarah did an amazing job walking Canelo while I was out of town for a weekend. We met for a nice, short walk prior to my departure where she was able to walk Canelo around for a nice stroll. Not only was the walk successful, but I could tell Canelo felt comfortable off the bat. Thank you Sarah for making my first rover experience a memorable one—looking forward to leveraging your help in the future.

About: There is nothing more purposeful than spending one’s effort with a friend, a real friend. I’ve been a human for any dog that needs a human since I was 7 (even though mom approved my love for friends-dogs, much later) I’m a human to Kourage (my golden retriever) who loves to play ball and say hi to every dog or human he sees. I’m working from home so will always have an eye on our babies, in addition Kourage’s routine is scheduled, so walks, poops, pees and food is on time. Weekends I’m available all throughout. I have a well setup place for Kourage (my golden retriever) that can accomodate your baby easily and with comfort. Kourage is good company and there are plenty dog parks near us (both off-leash and leashed). So be assured that your baby would be well taken care of.

About: With over 20 years of experience in animal care and welfare, I am passionate about providing the best care for your furry loved ones. As an animal welfare activist and dog rescuer, I have rescued and placed over 100 abused dogs and cats with trustworthy adoption families. I have also presented TV shows that raise awareness about stray/domestic dogs and cats and fight to end dog fights. I am proud to have been the first citizen/female in Jordan to file a lawsuit against a vet who was conducting animal testing and smuggling illegally exotic animals into inappropriate environments for breeding and trading. Additionally, I initiated a program called “Rahma” Mercy in English to teach children to be merciful towards stray dogs and cats, addressing cultural misconceptions. Giving back remains at the core of my work. A portion of every booking is donated to help abused and injured dogs in Jordan, helping fund life-saving surgeries and critical medical care. By trusting me with your beloved pet, you are also helping vulnerable animals receive a second chance at life. My home is a welcoming and loving environment for your pets, complete with a furry companion for your dog and a fenced dog park with plenty of room to play and run. Your pet will be fed only the freshest boiled lean beef, pork, chicken or turkey breast, and will be allowed to relax on the bed or sofa with plenty of cuddles and belly rubs. I take hygiene seriously, and my home is smoke, dust, residue and scent-free, using only high-quality venting filters. Your dog will also receive 3 to 5 daily walks, ranging from one to two hours, as well as daily brushing, washing after each walk, and bath if required. My husband and I work from home, allowing us to provide plenty of playtime and attention for your furry angels. Our schedule is flexible and always available to cater to your pet's needs. We are committed to the safety and security of your pets, both indoors and outdoors, and are happy to provide a crate if needed Our furry guests can enjoy a spacious park and a dog-fenced area where they can stretch their legs, play, and socialize with other dogs. At our home, safety and security are our top priority, both inside and outside, to ensure your dog feels comfortable and protected at all times.

About: With over 4 years of dedicated experience, I specialize in the unique needs of small and medium breeds (under 40 Ibs). I understand that "little" doesn't mean "low energy"— whether it's a spirited Frenchie or a sensitive Maltese, I provide a calm, controlled environment where your pup can feel secure without the stress of larger, more boisterous dogs. My day is built around high-attention care. We start with fresh water, breakfast, and a gentle walk or backyard playtime to get those little legs moving. Throughout the day, I incorporate frequent potty breaks and short play sessions to keep energy levels balanced. Evenings are all about wind-down time and plenty of cuddles, mimicking the cozy home routine your pet is already used to. When your pet stays with me, my home becomes their "home away from home." I maintain a strictly small-dog-friendly environment, prioritizing safety by keeping floors clear and exits secure. Your pup will enjoy supervised play and cozy rest areas without the chaos of a crowded kennel. For sittings in your home, my priority is minimizing stress by sticking to your pet's established habits. I follow your specific feeding schedules, walking routes, and "potty" cues to keep their day predictable. I also provide detailed home security-bringing in mail and watering plants-so you can travel with total peace of mind.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Etobicoke choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 83% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
