“Punctual, on time and looked out for my dog by crossing the street when there were other dogs approaching on his walk. I had also called Charmy when I needed help letting my dog out in the backyard while I was away, and she was always on time and sent me photos!”

“This is the second time we’ve booked walks with heather while we were on vacation. Bao always has the best time with her and is super excited to see her! She’s super punctual and easy to communicate and coordinate with!”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always connected more strongly with them than humans. I had 2 cats and a hedgehog when I was growing up. I currently have a 6 year-old golden doodle, Finn. I do all the care for our dog, including feeding, walking and poop scooping, of course. I love long walks(with all the sniffs), playing fetch and a good cuddle on the couch. When it comes to more exotic pets, I don't have much experience. I am quick to pick things up and always looking to try new things/ meet new critters. I am not currently working, so I have a very open schedule for housesitting + regular dog walks. I volunteer during the summer with protecting native turtle with the Heart Lake Turtle Troopers🐢 Though I cannot accept pets into my house, I am able to come to your home so your pet is comfortable and happy. I will ask lots of questions during meet + greets to get an idea of your pet's routine and/or any restrictions. I am very attentive to safety, ensuring pups are kept a safe distance from other dogs, people and everything on wheels. I love going on long walks at their pace to get in all the good sniffs!

“Shawn is excellent with Cosmo. He works with the individual needs of the dog, making sure that they're comfortable and happy on the walks. They became friends very quickly. Very happy to have found Shawn on Rover.”

About: I’ll spoil your pets almost as much as you do! I give enthusiastic compliments, every cat can judge me in peace. Your pet deserves five-star service, which means walks, cuddles, playtime! You'll get plenty of photo updates because I know being away from your furry best friend is hard. Expect action shots, sleepy-face pictures, and at least one caption worthy of an award that doesn't exist. My schedule is reliable, my affection is unlimited, and yes, I will probably tell your pup they're the best employee I've ever worked with! Whether your pet is a high-energy adventurer, a professional nap enthusiast, or a tiny drama queen who requires their water bowl to be refreshed. I have cared for friends’ and family’s pets for years including dogs, cats and fish. I’m also certified in Pet First Aid by the Red Cross. (Use promo: JAMIEF08366) I have lots of free time at the moment to play with your pups and I’m very flexible and can take on any schedule or routine. I have a fenced yard and my home is safe for animals I can crate only if required. I’m great with all animals and enjoy spending time with them.
“Jada was amazing to work with. We hired her as our dog walker while away on holidays, and she was prompt and Kruz seemed to really enjoy his walks with her. I looked forward to receiving his daily walk report, and pictures. I would definitely use Jada again in the future. What an amazing, and seamless experience. Thank you Jada! ☺️☺️”

About: I genuinely love all dogs. I've grown up with family members who have had dogs for many years. When living with my parents, I had my German Shepherd Kaiser (a giant goofball who's now enjoying his golden years of life) who I absolutely love with all my heart. Everything he knows I taught him, so I have lots of patience when training. He's a very smart boy! But ever since I moved out of my parents house, I've had to leave my Kaiser with them. So, with being at home and an online social work student, I want to spend time with dogs again! I have experience with both small and large dogs as well as medication administration. I'm an active person so walking, playing, and running isn't a problem for me. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I'm currently a student who's transitioning full-time work to part-time, so I have some extra time on my hands. I also have my own car so driving to different locations isn't hard for me. I love all dogs and wish I could open my own foster home. That being said, I'm very attentive to my own dog and other dogs whenever I'm around them. I know what to look out for when a dog is in distress. I live in a fenced yard with great walking paths nearby.
About: I've had pets almost all my life. From small to large, cats to reptiles, hedgehogs to large dogs. 10 years volunteering in wildlife rehab, with a specialty in rabies vector species (skunks and bats have my heart). Especially fond of cats, small creatures, and large dogs. Fun fact: In nearly a decade of caring for skunks, I've never been sprayed. Animals can tell who we are. I work from home on a flexible schedule. Not typically an early riser, but I set my own hours and am willing to adapt to your pet's schedule. I can't take home anything free-roaming or larger than a hamster cage, as Ali is king of this castle and not welcoming to outsiders. However, I am able and willing to come to you. I'm tidy, respectful, and well accustomed to following detailed feeding/medicating/routine guidelines.
About: always been a dog lover and live in a pet community. my uncle is also a vet and would love an excuse to meet him have a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. sometimes at school or work but there's always some idle time to fill and work with you have lots of dog parks in my area that are fenced so they can get lots of interaction. will also be using leash and other basic tools
“Mayra was fantastic!! This pleasant and friendly young lady went above and beyond in our expectations of her. We have a dog that takes time to warm up to people and other dogs. She can be a little difficult to deal with and is very stubborn. Mayra listened closely at our 'meet & greet' and applied that learning to properly deal with our difficult dog. She adjusted her schedule to meet our needs at short notice and did more than just take her for a walk. Mayra spent time playing with our dog, sitting & petting her in her favourite spots while playing soothing music, and hand-feeding her, when she didn't want to walk. She comforted her during a thunderstorm. Mayra understands that stepping in to care for a dog is more than just taking the dog around the block on a leash. She provided detailed updates, photographs and videos after each walk. All of which made us very comfortable with our choice to ask Mayra to do the job she did. I would, very highly, recommend Mayra, and will, most definitely, be utilizing her services again!! Thank you, Mayra!!!”

About: I am more experienced in taking care of cats although I have taken my friends dogs for walks and taught my moms puppy basic training (sit, stay, down, walking without bothering strangers) I have a very flexible schedule and always have time to cuddle and play with my cats before work. I take them to the backyard to sunbathe and chase butterflies everyday. On a chill day I sit with them outside then feed them wet food after playtime and they spend a couple hours sleeping after they have tired themselves out. I have a fenced backyard and my kitties are only allowed that much outside because it is safer for them to be inside. I have multiple water fountains and I know kidney failure is a main cause of death in cats so I feed them wet food twice a day with probiotics and lots of water in them. My cats have a play area downstairs where they lay on their couches and have a huge cat tree and toys. They trust me a lot and lay with me when I sleep and greet me at the door whenever I come home from work. Since I have three cats the litter is always cleaned every day and kept full with fresh litter. They are always loved and looked after.
“Sharma was punctual and reliable. She was great and caring with our dogs. They can be a handful at times! She gave us good feedback about her time with them and answered any questions or concerns promptly. Thank you Shawna! We will rebook with you again.”

About: I have years of hands-on experience with dogs, including raising and training my own dog (cockapoo) from a young age. I’ve also routinely walked and cared for family dogs ranging from tiny teacup poodles to large Cane Corsos, so I’m comfortable adapting to different sizes, personalities, energy levels, and walking styles. I’m patient and attentive to each dog’s individual needs and body language. I also believe walks are their time, I’m more than happy to let them stop, sniff, and explore at their own pace (even if one patch of grass requires a five minute investigation). Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m happy to follow their usual routines and your instructions closely, with plenty of affection, enrichment, and photo updates along the way! 🐾 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both their pet’s routine and their space, and I’m always happy to provide photo updates for extra peace of mind.
About: Hi, I’m Jaida! If there’s one thing people know about me, it’s that I love animals and am happiest when I’m around them. I currently work part-time as a dog groomer and previously worked at a dog daycare, where I spent my days supervising, training, and caring for dogs. Those jobs have given me experience working with dogs of different breeds and sizes, and helped me become comfortable handling different behaviours and situations. I also have two large dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. I’m currently an undergraduate student hoping to build a career working in veterinary medicine. Spending time with pets is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your dog wants to spend the day playing or would rather relax beside someone, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them comfortable. Since I work part-time, I have a flexible schedule and can often make time for pet care throughout the week and on weekends. I’m reliable, easy to reach, and happy to send pictures and updates while you’re away. When caring for your pet, my goal is to make things feel as normal as possible for them. I’ll take the time to learn their routine and follow it closely, from feeding schedules to walks and any special instructions you may have. I know being away from their owner can be stressful for some pets, so I try to make sure they feel comfortable and secure while you’re gone. My experience in grooming and daycare has taught me how to read dog body language and recognize when a dog is excited, nervous, tired, or needs space. I’ll always pay attention to how your pet is feeling and adjust my approach to what works best for them. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with respect and leave everything the way I found it. I know pets are family, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, whether that’s during a quick walk, a drop-in visit, or an extended stay.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brampton
I would highly recommend Kurtis. I was extremely happy with him. Once Oscar met him and realized he was there to walk him, Oscar was more than eager to go with him. I could tell Oscar felt very at ease with him too. I would definitely use Kurtus everytime going forward. He was great. Thank you again Kurtus!

Aidan walked and fed max for us a night that we were getting home late. He was kind enough to come by a day before to meet him and played with him when our dog didn’t want to go for a long walk because he was antsy to get home. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again :)

Anna has been wonderful with our dog. We can count on her being on time for her visit and walk with Hank daily. Thanks to her, he has been fed and is very content when we get home. We feel fortunate to have found Anna to help care for Hank when we are unable to.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brampton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
