About: Animals have always been a part of my life — I’ve had both dogs and cats since childhood. Caring for them feels as natural to me as breathing. I’ve lovingly looked after my own pets and happily helped friends, neighbors, and family care for theirs. For over 25 years, I’ve given warmth and attention to puppies, kittens, senior pets, and those with special needs. To me, every pet is a unique story, a little heart that deserves safety, comfort, and love. I care for them as tenderly as I would for my own family. Because I work part-time, I have plenty of time to give your pet my full attention. I’m available for boarding on weekends and on weekdays, so your furry friend will always have someone to play with, comfort them, and keep them company when you can’t be there. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priority. I create a calm and comfortable environment where animals feel secure, relaxed, and loved. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, or simply spending quiet time together, I make sure all their needs are met. If needed, I can provide a dedicated space for rest and sleep. I care for every pet with patience, kindness, and the same love I would give to my own family.

Shawn recently stayed in our home for 2 weeks to look after our 2 boxers . We knew from the meet and greet he would be an excellent fit especially for our girl Eve who was instantly enamoured with him . He followed all the instructions that were given and also administered medication to our senior dog. Eve and Tyson were in absolute paradise as Shawn took them out to play several times daily and gave them lots of love and attention. Our home and our kids were well taken care of and we are extremely happy that all went well . Shawn is truly our dream sitter and we look forward to having him back again. Thank you so much for taking care of Eve and Tyson .

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover and have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all personalities—from energetic pups who love long walks and playtime to more relaxed pets who just want cuddles and company. I also have experience caring for other animals, so I’m comfortable adapting to different needs and routines. I’m confident with feeding schedules, cleaning up, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, habits, and quirks so they get personalized care and attention. I’m currently working part-time, which means I’ve got lots of free time to hang out with your pets! Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to fit into your pet’s routine. I love staying active, so I’m always up for long walks, games of fetch, or just giving your dog all the attention they deserve. And of course, I’m just as happy to slow things down for cuddles and chill time too. Your pet will get plenty of love, attention, and tail-wagging fun while you’re away! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and play, and I live on a quiet dead-end street with very little traffic—perfect for stress-free walks. I’m also lucky to have a park right next to my home, so your dog will have plenty of space for exercise, fresh air, and fun adventures. I always keep a close eye on pets and make sure they’re in a secure, calm, and loving environment where they can feel right at home

About: Growing up on my dad's farm taught me that animals can have personality and intelligence. Whether they need someone to run them across a field and back or someone that looks after them while they snooze on a sofa, nurturing dogs physically and mentally is a task I do with pride. I usually work early mornings and am free after 3. I do live with a roommate that doesn't appreciate animals unfortunately so boarding is not service I can provide regardless of how much I'd love to. I used to work for Dogtopia, a dog daycare where I learned heaps of valuable information whether it be health wise or behaviour wise. Dogs are usually very good at exhibiting when something doesn't feel right and I will be able to read what they need and let you know as soon as possible. I can even treat mild to moderate illnesses if need be. Being away from a pet is hard, that's why I want to provide a service that eases that anxiety the best way I know how, by making sure that your dog stays happy and healthy as they wait for you to come back.

About: Hi, I’m Jaida! If there’s one thing people know about me, it’s that I love animals and am happiest when I’m around them. I currently work part-time as a dog groomer and previously worked at a dog daycare, where I spent my days supervising, training, and caring for dogs. Those jobs have given me experience working with dogs of different breeds and sizes, and helped me become comfortable handling different behaviours and situations. I also have two large dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. I’m currently an undergraduate student hoping to build a career working in veterinary medicine. Spending time with pets is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether your dog wants to spend the day playing or would rather relax beside someone, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them comfortable. Since I work part-time, I have a flexible schedule and can often make time for pet care throughout the week and on weekends. I’m reliable, easy to reach, and happy to send pictures and updates while you’re away. When caring for your pet, my goal is to make things feel as normal as possible for them. I’ll take the time to learn their routine and follow it closely, from feeding schedules to walks and any special instructions you may have. I know being away from their owner can be stressful for some pets, so I try to make sure they feel comfortable and secure while you’re gone. My experience in grooming and daycare has taught me how to read dog body language and recognize when a dog is excited, nervous, tired, or needs space. I’ll always pay attention to how your pet is feeling and adjust my approach to what works best for them. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with respect and leave everything the way I found it. I know pets are family, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, whether that’s during a quick walk, a drop-in visit, or an extended stay.

About: I have 12+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’ve supported neighbors and family with daily walks, feeding schedules, enrichment, and basic training reinforcement. Because I work from home, I’m highly responsive and can provide reliable, consistent care. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and administering simple medications if needed. My goal is always a safe, structured, and loving experience. Your pet won’t just be walked — they’ll be genuinely cared for. I treat every dog like my own and take the time to understand their personality, energy level, and routine. As someone who truly misses my own furry friends back home, I pour that love into every pet I care for. Since I work from home, pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to provide consistent walks, drop-ins, and check-ins throughout the day without rushing. I’m available weekdays during daytime hours and most weekends. Because I’m home-based, I can be flexible and responsive to your pet’s specific schedule and needs. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. During walks, I use secure leashes and stay alert to surroundings at all times. I avoid overcrowded areas and ensure dogs are comfortable and hydrated. In your home, I respect your space and carefully follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions. I always double-check doors, gates, and locks before leaving. Clear communication and photo updates are included with every visit.

About: I am a big lover of all pets. I've cared and raised the family dogs for the past 9 years, both chihuahuas, which is a feat in itself because they are stubborn. I have experience training puppies as I helped raise my sister's dogs, as well as caring for large dogs as one of the pups is a lab retriever mix. I have some experience caring for senior dogs and administering medication to them (pill form). No matter the age and size I love to rile up the dogs I watch, and treat them like babies because it's what they deserve. I am currently inbetween jobs at the moment, so I have a lot of availability for pet sitting throughout the week. I am also available for pet sitting for upwards of 3 weeks. I will not be available to onboard pets in my home, however I do not mind staying at a client's home to care for the pet. If there are any needs and requirements for the pet I just require a physical copy, just for my own piece of mind in fully ensuring that all needs are met

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always connected more strongly with them than humans. I had 2 cats and a hedgehog when I was growing up. I currently have a 6 year-old golden doodle, Finn. I do all the care for our dog, including feeding, walking and poop scooping, of course. I love long walks(with all the sniffs), playing fetch and a good cuddle on the couch. When it comes to more exotic pets, I don't have much experience. I am quick to pick things up and always looking to try new things/ meet new critters. I am not currently working, so I have a very open schedule for housesitting + regular dog walks. I volunteer during the summer with protecting native turtle with the Heart Lake Turtle Troopers🐢 Though I cannot accept pets into my house, I am able to come to your home so your pet is comfortable and happy. I will ask lots of questions during meet + greets to get an idea of your pet's routine and/or any restrictions. I am very attentive to safety, ensuring pups are kept a safe distance from other dogs, people and everything on wheels. I love going on long walks at their pace to get in all the good sniffs!

About: Hey! I've had dogs since I was just 9 years old and as I've grown, my ability to handle all kinds of breeds has increased. My life has always been on the active side as my family and I enjoy long hikes, trails and loads of running. Leaving your dog even if it's for a couple hours scares everyone (trust me I've had experience with mine), so our home is genuinely a place for comfort. I have extensive knowledge of canine behavior, training techniques, and health care, coupled with my unwavering dedication to providing individualized attention and love. Pet owners can trust that their beloved furry companions are in the most capable and caring hands when they choose me as their dog sitter. I'm fully available on boarding, day-cares, and drop in visits on weekends. Otherwise, if it's during summer break or a long weekend, you can count on me. I have a fully fenced backyard, gates in the house, can easily fit crates if needed, and of course my little beagle to give your dog some company. There's always someone watching the pups and snacks are obviously given (pupsicles and homemade treats!) so it's safe to say that you pup will be spoiled.

First time user for Rover and went well. Max provided daily updates, lots of pictures and even got close to one of our anxious cats who we give special attention to. Our neighbours told us our Labrador got lots of walks and playtime in the backyard which we were delighted to hear. Planning a trip and leaving pets behind is stressful. Was happy her love of animals made it so much easier.

FAQs for House Sitting - Brampton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Brampton on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 4,375 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brampton. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brampton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brampton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brampton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
