About: Hi! I’ve been providing full-time dog boarding and pet care in my community for the past 9 years. Caring for dogs has been a huge part of my daily life, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pup. I also have my own Golden Retriever who is currently 14 years old, so I understand the importance of patience, routine, comfort, and attentive care — especially for senior dogs. Our home is a spacious 110 x 170 ft property with one of the largest fenced backyards in the neighborhood, providing dogs with plenty of safe outdoor space to play and explore during suitable weather. When indoors, dogs are treated like part of our family and can relax comfortably in a calm home environment. I also provide regular photo and video updates every 1–3 hours, so owners can feel connected and reassured while away. Over the past 9 years of full-time boarding experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of helping dogs build healthy routines, confidence, and positive behaviors in a home-style setting. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort will always be my top priority! I’m a full-time dog boarder and a stay-at-home mom, so dogs are rarely left alone and are always part of our daily family life. Our typical day starts around 8–9 AM with outdoor potty time and backyard play. Depending on the weather, dogs usually spend about 10–30 minutes outside enjoying the yard and social time. After coming back inside, I observe their energy levels and interactions to see whether they’d like to continue playing indoors or settle down and relax. If the weather is rainy, too cold, or uncomfortable, we usually do a quick potty break and head back inside, where I’ll add more indoor play and enrichment time before breakfast instead. Breakfast is usually served around 9–10 AM. After meals, each dog is encouraged to have a calm, quiet rest period for a few hours. I’m very mindful about avoiding intense activity right after eating, since it can lead to stomach issues or discomfort, especially for larger breeds. Around 12–1 PM, we head outside again for another backyard break and play session, usually around 20–30 minutes depending on the weather. On beautiful days, dogs may stay out longer and enjoy our large shaded backyard with mature trees. During colder or rainy days, outdoor time is kept shorter for comfort and safety. Inside, dogs have access to about 2,800 sq ft of indoor living space and are treated like family members, not kenneled all day. On weekdays around 2:30 PM, I briefly leave for about 30 minutes to pick up my child from school. If I’m caring for a particularly anxious dog, I may bring them along for the short car ride so they feel more comfortable and secure. Our third outdoor session is usually between 4–5 PM, again depending on weather and the dogs’ energy levels. Dinner is served around 6 PM, followed by another calm rest period to help digestion and keep everyone relaxed for the evening. Around 9 PM, we do one final backyard potty break before bedtime. Since it’s already dark by then, outdoor time is usually kept to about 10 minutes. After that, the dogs settle in for the night and sleep indoors with us near the primary bedroom, just like part of the family. I currently have a 14-year-old Golden Retriever and a 12-year-old rescued small mixed-breed dog. Over the past 9 years of full-time boarding, both my dogs and I have gained a great deal of experience living and interacting with dogs of all personalities, ages, and energy levels. I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and pay very close attention to behavior, movement, appetite, energy changes, and overall comfort. Because I observe dogs carefully throughout the day, I’m often able to notice signs of discomfort or health concerns early. My boarding environment is designed to help dogs maintain healthy routines, emotional balance, and positive social behaviors. For example, after meals, dogs are encouraged to rest calmly instead of continuing active play, which helps protect digestion and reduce risks such as bloating or stomach discomfort. I also schedule at least four potty breaks every day to support overall comfort and urinary health. Dog boarding is my full-time focus — I don’t run another business or work outside the home — which means my attention stays fully on the dogs in my care. Constant companionship and supervision can also provide a lot of emotional comfort for dogs while they are away from home. Weather conditions are something I take seriously as well. Extremely cold temperatures can affect dogs physically, especially seniors or smaller breeds, while wet conditions may contribute to skin irritation, paw inflammation, or discomfort. During hot summer days, outdoor time is adjusted carefully to avoid overheating, especially during midday hours. We often use shaded areas, fans, or tents to keep dogs comfortable outdoors when needed. In colder weather, dogs may wear jackets when temperatures drop below around 10°C. On rainy days, dogs are thoroughly towel-dried after coming back inside to keep them warm, dry, and comfortable. These are not occasional routines — they are habits and care practices I’ve consistently followed every single day over the past 9 years.

About: I have lived with and cared for dogs for over 15 years, so I truly understand their personalities, routines, and emotional needs. Every dog is different, which is why I always start with a meet and greet to get to know your pet’s behaviour, comfort level, and habits before any stay. My husband Prasanth and I are also pet parents of a 3 year old lab, so we completely understand the anxiety and concern owners feel when they are away. We make sure to keep communication open with regular photo and video updates to help you feel connected and reassured. I am certified in Pet First Aid for dogs and cats, and I only host a maximum of two dogs at a time. This allows me to provide personalized attention, calm companionship, and a home like environment where every pup feels safe and loved. My goal is simple: to give your pet the same care, comfort, and affection I give my own. Me and my husband work from home, so there is almost always someone around to look after the pets. This allows us to give them plenty of attention throughout the day. At my home, every dog is treated like family. I have a secure backyard where pets can safely play, stretch, and enjoy fresh air throughout the day. I always supervise outdoor time to make sure everyone stays happy and safe. Inside, the environment is calm, clean, and pet-friendly. I keep water available at all times, follow each pet’s feeding schedule carefully, and make sure they have comfortable spots to rest.

In my home, I create a calm and predictable routine — scheduled meals, regular outdoor breaks, supervised playtime, and basic training like sitting, waiting, and potty habits. I keep dangerous items out of reach and always monitor them closely. If I’m caring for puppies in a client’s home, I follow your routine step-by-step so your puppy gets consistency. I make sure they stay safe, avoid chewing hazards, and get plenty of positive attention.”

We had such a great experience with Anna. She took such great care of my puppy and gave us lots of updates and photos through the day. She was super accommodating to our last minute request and our puppy looked super happy the whole time. Would highly recommend.

Mylo had a wonderful time with Gauri. She kept me updated throughout his stay and sent lots of photos, and in every one he looked incredibly happy. Mylo and Gauri’s dog got along great and clearly had a lot of fun together. She took him on plenty of walks, gave regular updates on how he was doing, and made sure he was well cared for. He came home completely exhausted, which is always a sign that he had an amazing time. I would highly recommend Gauri and would be happy to have Mylo stay with her again.

Highly recommend! Dinesh was super responsive, sent lots of pictures and updates, and took great care of Mocha. Mocha got walks, lots of playtime with his kids, and got to hang out with his dog Chico, who completely tired him out. Mocha slept like crazy when he got home 😂 Dinesh took all the necessary precautions to keep Mocha safe and happy. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches!

Bhavini took excellent care of Mylo and kept me updated throughout with plenty of photos and messages. It was clear he had an amazing time—he came home happily exhausted! He looked so joyful in all the pictures and clearly got lots of playtime. I would definitely book with Bhavini again.

This was my first time booking with Shuchee and Ram. They were very accommodating and even agreed to a last-minute meet and greet, which I really appreciated. Pluto instantly took a liking to Ram, and it was clear he felt comfortable and well cared for. When I picked him up, he seemed happy and relaxed. I’ll definitely be boarding Pluto with them again.

Kannan never disappoints. Mylo always comes home happy and pleasantly tired, which says it all. The regular updates are so reassuring, and I really appreciate the effort put into them. The report card is a great touch too—it’s always nice to see a thoughtful, detailed update on how Mylo is doing.

Smruthi was amazing with Mylo! She sent me lots of updates, and he looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. She responded very quickly and made the booking process super easy, which I really appreciated. I will definitely recommend her and will absolutely be booking with her again.

Jenny was amazing with Mylo! She sent plenty of photos and regular updates, which was so reassuring. It was great to see him spending time with other furry friends and having such a fun day. He came home happy and completely tired out! I would definitely recommend her and will absolutely be rebooking. 😊

I left my dog, Rico, with Maricel for the day, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he received! 🐾 Rico can be a little anxious at first, but he seemed so comfortable and happy when I picked him up. Maricel kept me updated throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear she truly loves and cares for dogs. When I picked Rico up, he was calm, and clearly had a fun day. I would absolutely trust her to take care of him again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter! ❤️

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Brampton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
