About: I have an experience of taking care of animals of all ages in need of special attention as I've rescued and adopted since I was a little girl. Pets are the best company for me and I genuinely enjoy spending time playing with them. I'm a student and have plenty of free time to play and provide care. I have a flexible schedule and can provide services on all days of the week! I'm living in a townhouse with an extremely pet-friendly environment. Most of the neighbors have their own fur babies, and this neighborhood is a safe space for animals. My house has kids under 6 so we are very careful when it comes to hazards. All the members in the family are animal-friendly, and we will surely have an amazing time with our new furry friends!
About: I have had pet my entire life and have been taking care of them since I was 10. Currently I have a 3 year old, super friendly shihtzu named Buddy. Buddy is a COVID baby and has unfortunately not spent a day alone, and therefore, and I never leave him alone. He is very good around kids and other dogs and has been around other pets since the very beginning. I love pets and you can trust me with your furry babies. I have a very flexible work schedule allowing me to play, indulge and be around furry babies. I live in a dog friendly apartment that has designated dog play patch area as well as a great neighborhood to take them for a walk whenever they need :) I have a super friendly and neutered shihtzu to keep your fur babies some company. Also, I have ample number of great chew toys, balls, and frisbees to keep them engaged. I have a small park right outside my apartment where I take dogs for a quick walk and some fun in the sun. I have experience in providing subscribed medication (if needed) and I believe in grooming your pet (paws cleaning, hair brushing, eyes cleaning) when they are with me. I believe in offering a healthy, happy and hygienic stay :)
About: 🐾 About Me Hi, I’m Maha. I’ve loved animals my whole life and have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages. I also fostered pets with medical and behavioural needs through the Humane Society, which taught me how to make every pet feel safe, loved, and at home. 💙 My Approach Every pet is unique and I love getting to know their little quirks. I only take one pet at a time so they get my full attention and care. My husband works from home and I do Rover full time, so there’s almost always someone around to give your pet company and affection. 🏡 Home & Environment We live in a detached home with our cat, Hugo, who gets along well with dogs and cats. Our backyard isn’t fenced yet, so outdoor time is always supervised on leash. Behind our home is a beautiful trail that’s perfect for walks and exploring. 🕓 Schedule If your dog/cat is staying overnight, there may be short times when I need to step out during the day, so overnight guests should be comfortable being alone for up to 6 hours if needed. For daycare stays, I’m home the entire time so your pet will always have company. 🔹 Available to take care of: housetrained dogs, senior dogs, kittens, cats and senior cats! 🔹 Regular exercise (walking, hiking, playtime) 🔹 Dog parks (if owner approves) 🔹 Lots of pets, cuddles and attention 🔹 Positive reinforcement
About: We’ve cared for different pets since we were very young, and we’re comfortable handling all kinds of dogs. A lifelong experience observing canine body language helps me understand their needs quickly. We also know how to work with both high-energy puppies and calm, senior dogs. We believe in the importance of daily walks and exercise to keep them balanced, reduce stress, and support their overall well-being. We can take care of dogs during the week, as long as they’re used to being alone since we have a hybrid work schedule. Weekends are also open for me, which means we can spend extra time having fun with them and making sure they’re well cared for. We care for pets in my own home, where we offer a calm and safe environment. We have a small patio where they can relax, and we make sure they always feel comfortable. We also love taking them out for walks or playing with them to keep them happy and engaged.
“Thank you so much Jenny for taking care of Heidi.. heidi enjoyed her day with you and your family.. you were extremely loving and caring and looking forward to leaving Heidi with you again.”

“Foram was amazing with Blaze. She sent many pictures and updates. She was also very accomdating to my early drop off time. She welcomed us into her home and i felt very comfortable to leave Blaze for the day. Highly recommend!”

“Sang and Danielle were really great. This was my first time using the apps and my first time leaving my puppy with anyone, and they were definitely a great choice. They were very easy to communicate with from the beginning. We had a meet and greet where my puppy met them and their dog, Sky, who is also really calm and great. Today, they kept me updated, and it seems like my puppy had a great time and came home tired and ready to sleep.”

“It's such a joy that I found Amy to care for my pup, Ryu for a day. She opened her cozy and spacious home to Ryu and was very professional, communicative, and flexible throughout the whole process. She sent me hourly updates and photos of Ryu, took him for walks (with maps too), and gave him lots of attention and love. Ryu came back home happy and healthy. Thank you, Amy, for being such a wonderful dog sitter! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets almost my whole life. Animals hold a very dear place in my heart, I have a 10 year old sweet Shorkie of my own and been pet sitting for family and friends for years. I am currently on an off-term at Univeristy, meaning I have free time all summer to dedicate myself to caring for some furry friends. Walks and play time with pets are my favourite part of my day! I have a fairly big backyard (gated) and multiple parks a few minutes from my house. My dog Bailey is extremely friendly but if your pet is shy I can keep them separated. Any additional care instructions or routines your pet may have will be followed :)
About: If this is your first time using Rover, don’t forget to use my code KRITIS07196 to get $20 off your booking! Hi, I’m Kritika — dog mum to Theo, our almost-6-year-old Golden Retriever who takes his job as Chief Welcoming Officer very seriously. My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will never be left alone. We have a fenced yard with a locked gate, a toddler and a resident golden. We only host one dog at a time, so your pup gets our full attention! Dogs with special needs or dietary requirements are absolutely welcome — just let me know what your pup needs and we’ll make it work. We’re home through the week, so walks, meals, and check-ins happen as per your dog’s schedule. Depending on your dog’s energy and comfort level, days here include neighbourhood walks, backyard time, couch hangs, and a whole lot of playtime at home. Our house has a fenced yard with a locked gate. It is the perfect place for your dog to relax and be home away from home.
“Audrey/Doug showed us around the property, plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Our pup came home exhausted, which we sometimes find hard to do with his high energy. Definitely recommend.”

“Excellent care for our high energy English Springers. I really appreciated the updates on their care, the level of attention to their routine and activity for them. Thank you so much!”

“We asked Mary Anne last minute request (same day and early morning booking). She generously accepted and provided us a great quality service as always. Thank you, Mary Anne!”

Kelly was wonderful with Nala—very carefull and loving. During Nala’s stay, she sent me photos and videos. Nala felt very comfortable in Kelly’s home. Played with toys and made a new friend, Chloe. I will definitely leave Nala with her again and highly recommend her.

This was Dosti’s first stay with Pooja and everything went smoothly. Dosti is still a young pup, energetic and curious, so I wanted to see how he would do. Pooja kept communicating with me through texts and pictures, and I appreciated the updates.. Despite having two other dogs to look after, Dosti seemed comfortable, relaxed, and happy when I picked him up. That is a very good sign. Pooja, thank you for taking good care of him. I would be happy to have Dosti stay with you again.

It was my first time leaving Sadie with Taylor and Ashish and they made the entire experience so reassuring. You could clearly see how comfortable Sadie felt with them, which meant everything to me. Taylor provided constant updates and photos, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. It truly felt like Sadie was right at home with them. I’m so happy with the care and attention they gave her. I highly recommend Taylor & Ashish. Sadie will definitely be back soon!

I cannot recommend Anushka enough! She and her family did an incredible job looking after my Cavapoo. My Twinkie can be a mix of high energy (loves her ball!) and a total lap dog who just wants to cuddle, and Anushka catered to both perfectly. It was such a relief knowing she was getting plenty of playtime and snuggles while I was away. If you need someone trustworthy who truly understands dog behavior, look no further!"

Our dog Lando loves going to Tania and Dave’s place for daycare. Loves to play with Rooney and Ollie! Tania and Dave take very good care of Lando and always accommodated us in the last moment as well. He comes back home a happy pup everytime and we really appreciate them:)

Blaze loves going to Foram's. She treats him just like he is a part of the family. Foram's communication throughout the day is great! She always send me videos, pictures and updates me on how Blaze is doing. She is so welcoming and caring. We are lucky to have found her! Highly recommend.

Mana was the perfect daycare host! We had a meet n greet first and she gave me a tour of her home and let my dog Cruiser look around and get comfortable. Her dog Ivy is very friendly and sweet. On the day my dog stayed with her she was very communicative and sent lots of pics and updates. Cruiser actually ate his food at her house, which he rarely does on the first day of staying somewhere different- an indication that he was comfortable. I have 100% confidence that she’ll take great care of Cruiser when we travel.

I can't thank Katie enough for all the wonderful care she gave to our girl, Marlee. We are on a summer vacation visiting Canadian cities and needed a safe place to keep our fur baby while we headed into Toronto to visit the sights. Katie was super responsive with our booking requests. She actually ended up dog sitting with our girl 4x during our visit to the area. Katie is warm and friendly and our dog immediately felt at home with her. She has 2 small dachshunds that were also friendly and they willingly shared their home and Mom. Katie made sure our girl got her walks in, all while paying close attention to some special orthopedic needs our dog has related a recent injury. She sent multiple pics and updates during the stay which is always a nice touch. She truly bonded with our girl and we bonded with her. Thank you so very much Katie. Marlee loved her time with you, and we appreciated all the free time to explore your beautiful city!! Katie is a hidden gem and I highly recommend her!!!

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Milton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 80% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
