“Mo had an amazing time! And Amy sent pictures and videos to keep me updated. This makes me so happy to see Mo is fitting in so well :-) looking forward to additional visits for Mo!”

“The was our first time using Jessie and we are very happy with how she took care of Murphy. She sent lots of pictures and videos. I would definitely recommend her as a dog sitter. Thanks again”

“Our dog was well cared for by Hong. He got a lot of excercise with walks and loved exploring in his sitter’s lovely and spacious backyard. Because our dog is a picky eater, Hong helped with the feeding. We got frequent updates with pics and videos. We are grateful to have a great first experience with a dog sitter through Hong and Mark!”

“I can always trust Erica to treat Luffy like her own dog-son. She’s attentive and responds quickly, providing many media updates on him. She notifies me of everything - how much he ate or didn’t eat, his bowel movements, his mood, etc. She ate on the floor with him to try and encourage him to eat when he was feeling sad. I really can’t ask for a better dog sitter!”

“Sang and Danielle were really great. This was my first time using the apps and my first time leaving my puppy with anyone, and they were definitely a great choice. They were very easy to communicate with from the beginning. We had a meet and greet where my puppy met them and their dog, Sky, who is also really calm and great. Today, they kept me updated, and it seems like my puppy had a great time and came home tired and ready to sleep.”

“Ethan was excellent with Oji. He provided multiple photo and video updates throughout the day so we felt very reassured. Oji had a great time playing with Luffy as well and we loved seeing him so happy!”

“Weiping took very good care of Vayu. She made sure my very anxious husky settled down well and made him feel comfortable. She sent pictures and videos in a timely manner. We strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a place to board their anxious pup book with Weiping. Looking forward to booking with Weiping in the future.”

“We were referred to Kelly, and I honestly feel so lucky to have found her! 🥹🐾 From the moment Waffle stayed with her, it was clear that he was in such loving and caring hands. She took amazing care of him and made him feel completely at home, which gave us so much peace of mind. One of my favourite things was how consistently Kelly kept us updated. She sent us photos almost every hour, and seeing Waffle happy, comfortable, and enjoying himself made being away from him so much easier. ❤️ It’s not easy leaving your fur baby with someone else, but Kelly made the entire experience so reassuring. Waffle clearly had the best time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for him. We’re incredibly grateful and feel very lucky to have Kelly looking after our boy! 🐶💛 Highly, highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pet like family!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets almost my whole life. Animals hold a very dear place in my heart, I have a 10 year old sweet Shorkie of my own and been pet sitting for family and friends for years. I am currently on an off-term at Univeristy, meaning I have free time all summer to dedicate myself to caring for some furry friends. Walks and play time with pets are my favourite part of my day! I have a fairly big backyard (gated) and multiple parks a few minutes from my house. My dog Bailey is extremely friendly but if your pet is shy I can keep them separated. Any additional care instructions or routines your pet may have will be followed :)
“Very caring and knowledgeable! My Charlie was safe and although anxious (his own problem), I was comfortable with him being there and getting pictures of his stay!”

“Danielle and her family took such great care of our Molly. We really appreciated the communication during the day and genuine care given to our dog. Molly seemed so comfortable in their home and seemed to really enjoy relaxing on the couch and playing with Danielle’s wonderful kids. We would be happy for Molly to stay with Danielle again. I’m sure Molly would absolutely love it as well!”

“Diana was wonderful to chat with and to have her take care of our husky. She gave me a clear picture of what Maze’s stay would be like and her backyard and asked great questions to understand Maze’s needs. Thank you for taking care of Maze! Will definitely use her again.”

“This was our first time leaving Willow with another dog at day care, so naturally we were a little apprehensive. But Jacky sent plenty of photos and videos to keep us updated throughout the day. Willow seemed very content when I picked her up and came home exhausted, so I know she had fun with Jacky and Abby. Booking was easy, Jacky was extremely responsive, would recommend!”

“Melody: many thanks for your wonderful care of Thunder on Christmas Day. Perfectly professional, organised, punctual, kind and caring. We would have no hesitation visiting you again and recommending you to others. Merry Christmas! 🎅”

“My dog didn’t really want to come back. He was sad for a good amount of time after coming back home 😂 He loved the play time with Baltej! Thank you, Baltej for such an early morning accommodation.”

“Erika was a great help during the transition period after my dog and I moved to a new place. She asked thoughtful questions to get to know him, his personality, and his routine, which made me feel very comfortable leaving him in her care. She also sent me lots of photos every day, and I could tell from the pictures that my boy was having a wonderful time with her. I’m very grateful for her care and would definitely recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone kind, attentive, and trustworthy to look after their dog.”

We absolutely love Danielle and her family! They’re incredibly communicative and truly attentive to your pet’s unique needs. What really stood out is how they welcome not just your pet, but you as well—it genuinely enhances the whole experience. Miko came home happy and pleasantly tired! We highly recommend Danielle and have already booked repeat visits.

Kelly was wonderful with Nala—very carefull and loving. During Nala’s stay, she sent me photos and videos. Nala felt very comfortable in Kelly’s home. Played with toys and made a new friend, Chloe. I will definitely leave Nala with her again and highly recommend her.

This was Dosti’s first stay with Pooja and everything went smoothly. Dosti is still a young pup, energetic and curious, so I wanted to see how he would do. Pooja kept communicating with me through texts and pictures, and I appreciated the updates.. Despite having two other dogs to look after, Dosti seemed comfortable, relaxed, and happy when I picked him up. That is a very good sign. Pooja, thank you for taking good care of him. I would be happy to have Dosti stay with you again.

It was my first time leaving Sadie with Taylor and Ashish and they made the entire experience so reassuring. You could clearly see how comfortable Sadie felt with them, which meant everything to me. Taylor provided constant updates and photos, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. It truly felt like Sadie was right at home with them. I’m so happy with the care and attention they gave her. I highly recommend Taylor & Ashish. Sadie will definitely be back soon!

I cannot recommend Anushka enough! She and her family did an incredible job looking after my Cavapoo. My Twinkie can be a mix of high energy (loves her ball!) and a total lap dog who just wants to cuddle, and Anushka catered to both perfectly. It was such a relief knowing she was getting plenty of playtime and snuggles while I was away. If you need someone trustworthy who truly understands dog behavior, look no further!"

Our dog Lando loves going to Tania and Dave’s place for daycare. Loves to play with Rooney and Ollie! Tania and Dave take very good care of Lando and always accommodated us in the last moment as well. He comes back home a happy pup everytime and we really appreciate them:)

Blaze loves going to Foram's. She treats him just like he is a part of the family. Foram's communication throughout the day is great! She always send me videos, pictures and updates me on how Blaze is doing. She is so welcoming and caring. We are lucky to have found her! Highly recommend.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Milton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 79% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
