Pet care experience
If it's for the animal, it's a yes!
I have experience with fostering dogs that come in different shapes, sizes and temperaments. I have had the opportunity to learn about dogs in a very short span of time. I have the patience and the ability to help a dog in need.

This was Dosti’s first stay with Pooja and everything went smoothly. Dosti is still a young pup, energetic and curious, so I wanted to see how he would do. Pooja kept communicating with me through texts and pictures, and I appreciated the updates.. Despite having two other dogs to look after, Dosti seemed comfortable, relaxed, and happy when I picked him up. That is a very good sign. Pooja, thank you for taking good care of him. I would be happy to have Dosti stay with you again.

Exceptional loving care and understanding. Highly recommend

I have known Pooja for quite a few years and have seen her interact with dogs in her home. She is very caring and in my opinion takes very good care of them. Even while living in a high rise apartment she would not hesitate at any time of day to take them outside when needed. She often discussed with me what the best options for food might be. I would not hesitate to have her watch over a pet of mine and highly recommend her to take care of the pets of others through Rover.
I've been friends and work colleagues with Pooja for many years. Not only is she a very smart and sure-footed professional, she is also a very loving and responsible caregiver for her foster dogs (and her other friends too). :) I trust Pooja to put her responsibilities first; she has extremely high integrity. I've watched her care for fosters that she loved with her whole heart, enough to let them go when they find their forever home. I highly recommend her!
Pooja is a dog whisperer. I have personally witnessed Pooja foster and care for dogs with the utmost care and with the utmost patience. I have seen her grow as a foster mom right from her very first to a few more of these wonderful creatures until this moment. Fosters, we know, are not always the easiest to take care of but Pooja's passion for providing every abandoned canine she comes across a caring, loving home holds me in awe of her. Pooja is gentle, brave, and kind with the canines. She has been fearless with the most aggressive of dogs and has always managed to win their trust with her gentle touch. She is meticulous when it comes to canine care and I have known of instances of Pooja sticking to a walk/run schedule even when weak and down with a fever! Pooja, I believe, is one of most responsible and loving pet caregiver one can encounter. The world truly needs more of such gentle, selfless souls!

Schedule
I have the flexibility of working in a hybrid setting. I usually take my fosters for a walk 3 times a day and squeeze in a 40 minute exercise routine on a regular basis.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I keep a close eye on the pets in my home. I keep anything they can swallow out of reach. I provide them with chew toys, frozen foods and puzzles to keep them occupied and mentally stimulate them when I am not able to physically take them outside for exercise. I believe animals need to be continuously engaged, at least while they are awake.
Pets
A typical day
I typically take dogs for a walk around 7 am, feed them breakfast and play with them for about 30 minutes. I have many enrichment toys at home that typically can keep dogs busy while I’m working. I take them for a walk after work and sometimes for a long walk, weather permitting. I then give tgem dinner. I walk them another time before bed time. Thisnis a typical schedule, but I’ve had to switch this depending kn what the dogs need. I have experience with many different types of dogs and each of them need different things and I cam adapt well.
