Shawna was amazing!!! She came and met with my puppy as we were a new client. It is obvious that Shawna has a passion for animals. She treated my puppy as if she was her own. I had Shawna come over for 2 days and both days she sent me pictures of her arriving which was amazing to know she was there. You could tell they were having a ton of fun. I highly recommend and encourage anyone to use her services as I guarantee, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Shawna!

About: We’ve cared for different pets since we were very young, and we’re comfortable handling all kinds of dogs. A lifelong experience observing canine body language helps me understand their needs quickly. We also know how to work with both high-energy puppies and calm, senior dogs. We believe in the importance of daily walks and exercise to keep them balanced, reduce stress, and support their overall well-being. We can take care of dogs during the week, as long as they’re used to being alone since we have a hybrid work schedule. Weekends are also open for me, which means we can spend extra time having fun with them and making sure they’re well cared for. We care for pets in my own home, where we offer a calm and safe environment. We have a small patio where they can relax, and we make sure they always feel comfortable. We also love taking them out for walks or playing with them to keep them happy and engaged.

About: I’m retired and able to offer consistent, reliable care without a rushed schedule. I’ve looked after dogs and homes for friends over the years, including travelling to British Columbia for extended house sitting, so I understand the level of trust involved in leaving both your pet and your home in someone else’s care. I also regularly care for pets in my condo building - neighbours trust me with their keys and rely on me to look after their pets, who are comfortable and familiar with me. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, and keeping things consistent so pets feel settled while you’re away. I pay attention to behaviour, surroundings, and safety on walks, and I don’t take unnecessary risks. You can expect clear communication, dependability, and a calm, steady presence for your pet. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m retired, so I have a flexible schedule and can plan my day around walks, visits, and consistent care without rushing. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening walks or check-ins, and I can adjust timing to match your pet’s usual routine. I’m home most of the day, which allows me to provide steady attention and not leave pets alone for long periods. Because I’m not balancing another job, I can be reliable with timing, routines, and communication. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their usual routine - walks, feeding times, and any specific instructions you provide. Consistency makes a big difference in reducing stress while you’re away. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep things clean and secure. I’m attentive to your pet’s behaviour and surroundings, especially on walks, and I don’t take unnecessary risks. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment with plenty of attention and regular outdoor time. I don’t overcrowd or take on more pets than I can properly care for. You’ll receive clear updates so you know how your pet is doing.

About: As long as I can remember, I've been crazy about animals - big and small! There is something truly special about the bond between an animal and their human. I approach everything I do with love, compassion and an open mind. I currently provide behaviour therapy to those affected by autism, work part time at Global Pet Foods in Milton, and I’m an Educational Assistant with the HDSB. I do not any shy away from challenges, and I have extensive experience with larger dogs with mobility challenges and autoimmune diseases. My lab suffered from wobblers syndrome and arthritis. My Rottie had both a THR and an FHO and was later diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called ITP. My care included frequent trips to the vet and the emergency hospital, daily cooking, medication administration multiple times a day, assisted walking with a harness, frequent wiping, managing both diarrhea and vomit, and transporting my late boy to rehab sessions. Dogs are family and they will ALWAYS be treated as such in my care. I love dogs of all sizes ❤️ My Rottie recently passed in April 2026 and I want to be able to share the love I had for him with other dogs ❤️ In addition to my dog, I currently have a 11 year old indoor cat who I love to bits! Feel free to ask me any questions you like! Your furbaby will be in good hands at all times I can guarantee. Photos and videos will never be a problem as I always try to capture the best moments :). I will gladly provide character references from places of employment as well as from the local vet clinic and rehabilitation center ❤️ I can work with you for your pets care! I currently am not offering boarding, but I would be happy to come into your home to assist where needed, or walk your dog, or just be a companion in the evenings or weekends. I have more flexibility when I am out of school at the end of June. I will work with you and create a schedule of care! I am flexible and understanding and will provide exactly what works best for you and your dog.

About: I’ve owned and taken care of pets for most of my life. Growing up my family has had dogs, cats, bunnies, fish and even a cockatiel. I’ve house sat and dog sat multiple times and come away with a new best friend each time. I work full time from home during the week on a fully flexible schedule. I am generally pretty free in the evenings & weekends. I am a young, agile and strong pet lover who can adapt to the animal I am with. For bigger more domineering animals I am comfortable taking care of them & for more docile pet I can be a delicate gentle teddy bear as well!

About: I’ve been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember. I’ve raised and cared for my own dogs with great attention to their health, routines, and emotional well-being. Because I spend so much time observing and bonding with them, I’ve developed a strong understanding of canine body language — I can usually tell right away if a pup is excited, anxious, tired, or uncomfortable. I believe every dog deserves patience, respect, and gentle care. I create a calm, safe environment where they can feel secure and relaxed — especially for shy or sensitive dogs. I am generally available on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after 6 PM. I’m also usually free on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the day I have a fenced backyard and a calm home environment with a small Shorkie(my own). I provide regular outdoor breaks every 2–3 hours, playtime, and close supervision. For dog walks, I follow schedules carefully and always prioritize safety and comfort.

I would highly recommend her services your pets will be in good hands. I think my cats were disappointed when I got home I honestly think they were waiting for her instead lol. About: I have had animals in my life since the day I could crawl. My parents always told me you can tell a lot about a person based on how they treat animals, and it always stuck with me. I have had young and old cats and dogs, I have given every medication under the sun, scooped kitty litter boxes, cleaned up puppy and senior dog messes. This is what it means to be a pet owner or someone who cares for pets. I have cared for small kitties and Maine Coon cats as well as Jack Russel Hounds and King Shepard's. Currently, my day is open so it's a non issue. I just finished a work contract, and I am between jobs and looking for things to fill my time. I do not offer pet care in my home at this time. This may change as my business expands if I see there is a market or need for it.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have been caring for them since I was about 10 years old. Even before having my own dog, I regularly helped by walking neighborhood dogs of all sizes. One of those was a Rottweiler who had some behavioral challenges with strangers but bonded well with me, and I was trusted to walk him regularly when other walkers had difficulty. I’ve often been told I have a calm, reassuring energy that dogs seem to respond to naturally. Over the years, I’ve had hands-on experience with dogs of many breeds, sizes, and personalities, including rescues and foster dogs. I’ve also helped a close friend who worked with the SPCA by assisting with dog transport, including last-minute and emergency placements to and from foster homes. My first personal dog was a Husky–Malamute mix named Cody, whom I adopted from the SPCA at around 3–4 years old. He came with some challenges due to his previous living situation, but with consistency, patience, and an environment better suited to his needs, he became a wonderful companion. He was great with kids, cats, and other animals and lived a long, happy life into his senior years. I’ve also fostered a Pit Bull mix for several months until she found her forever home. In a previous chapter of my life, I shared a home with a German Shepherd and a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, and caring for them gave me a deeper appreciation for structure, routine, and clear communication — especially with intelligent, energetic dogs. While I’m not a trainer, I’ve always taken the time to work with my dogs in a patient, consistent way to help them feel secure and well-mannered. Currently, I have a young German Shepherd / Black Mouth Cur mix who is my daily companion. We focus on routine, enrichment, and basic obedience, and he’s a happy, social, people-friendly goof who’s often by my side. I’ve also had cats my entire life and currently live with two, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs in multi-pet households. While much of my experience happens to be with larger and working breeds, I genuinely enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes. I find that when you understand dog behavior and communication, those skills translate naturally to smaller breeds as well. My approach is calm, attentive, and respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. As a business owner with a detailing shop in Milton, I have a very flexible schedule. I’m not confined to a traditional 9–5, which allows me to step in and out as needed throughout the day. Bookings are always planned and accommodated in advance, making midday visits, early mornings, evenings, and weekends very doable. I’m able to adjust my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent care, attention, and timely walks or check-ins. When pets are in my home, their safety and comfort are always my top priority. I do have a dog of my own, but my home is set up so dogs can be fully separated if needed, including having their own space and routine. If a pet is reactive or prefers to be alone, accommodations can easily be made. During the day, my dog is often at my shop with my husband, so he is not present when I’m doing walks, drop-ins, or day care outside the home. My yard is partially fenced, with plans to be fully fenced this year. In the meantime, I have designated tie-outs (over 50 feet) to allow for safe outdoor play. The property sits on approximately half an acre, providing plenty of space for movement and enrichment, along with lots of toys. I can easily crate pets if needed and have crates, separate food and water bowls, and supplies on hand. I also encourage owners to bring their pet’s bed or familiar items to help with comfort and settling in. I’m very flexible, communicative, and always happy to work with each pet’s individual needs.

Hii, Megan has been great with my dogs. She has been very patient with my hyper puppy with poor manner 😬... my little sassy french bulldog who doesn't really like anyone, Megan has won her over and my girl trusts her, welcomes her into our house- didn't take long for my girl to feel comfortable with Megan. My labrador is happy with any and all attention so having Megan pay attention to him, he is over the moon 🥰 Megan has been a great to my troops and we appreciate her caring attitude and look forward to having her work with our family further.
