About: My love for animals led me to start my own rescue, and I’ve been immersed in the rescue world for over 13 years. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of pet sitting for many wonderful clients and their beloved furbabies. *I’m certified by the Canadian Red Cross for First Aid for cats and dogs* I’ve experienced just about every aspect of animal care—from helping train puppies and walking dogs to supporting pregnant mama cats through birth to administering medication and even tube feeding dogs and cats recovering from surgery. My experience and knowledge have given me a deep understanding of how to provide personalized, attentive, and compassionate care—especially when pets need it most. And I truly believe a tired puppy is a happy puppy! I take great care in getting to know everything about your furbaby, whether they are big or small, to make sure they are cared for and pampered. It would truly be my pleasure to care for your pets as if they were my own while you’re away, keeping you in the loop every step of the way! I’m dedicating myself to pet sitting on a full-time basis, so pet care is my top priority in my daily routine. This allows me to be flexible and fully present for each pet’s needs—whether that’s regular walks, playtime, feedings, or simply providing companionship and comfort throughout the day. I structure my schedule around the pets in my care to ensure they receive consistent attention, routine, and plenty of love while their owners are away. I care for pets in their own home by keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and any specific care needs, so your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I make sure they get plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just quiet companionship. I’m very attentive to behavior and will keep an eye out for any changes in appetite, energy, or health. I also respect your home as if it were my own—keeping everything clean, secure, and well cared for. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is happy and in good hands while you’re away
About: I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs and routine to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. In a client’s home, I always aim to keep pets on their normal schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality — whether they’re energetic and playful or more relaxed and need a calm approach. During visits, I make sure pets get not just the essentials, but also attention, enrichment, and companionship. I’m attentive to their behaviour and will flag anything unusual right away. I also treat every home with the utmost respect — keeping things clean, secure, and exactly as I found them. Communication is very important to me, so I always provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. When it comes to dog walking, I prioritize safe, engaging, and structured walks based on each dog’s energy level and needs. Whether it’s a relaxed neighbourhood walk or a more active outing, I make sure dogs get the right balance of exercise and stimulation. I’m attentive on walks, always keeping dogs secure and aware of their surroundings, and I adjust pace and duration to keep them comfortable and happy. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’ve structured my schedule to make sure I can provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week, especially within Burlington and Oakville. I work a hybrid schedule Monday to Friday (9–5), which allows me flexibility for morning, midday, and evening visits depending on the day. On my work-from-home days, I have more availability for check-ins and walks, and I’m able to give pets extra attention and time throughout the day. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and can provide extended care, longer walks, and additional visits. I prioritize keeping pets on their usual routine and always plan my schedule to ensure they receive the attention, exercise, and consistency they need. About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I’ve grown up with them in my home and for the past year I’ve helped care for my cousin’s dog since she was a puppy. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, playtime, and giving lots of attention. Your pet will be loved and cared for like one of my own! I work full time, but caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for in my daily routine. I plan my days to include morning and evening walks, feedings, and check-ins, and I’m very mindful of keeping pets on their usual schedule. After work, I’m happy to spend quality time playing, walking, or just keeping them company. On weekends, I have more flexibility and love being able to give extra attention and longer walks. I treat every pet as part of my own routine, not as an add-on, and always make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. I provide loving, attentive care either in my pet-friendly building with a fenced dog park, or in my client’s home, always following each pet’s routine closely. I make sure pets get regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention. If your home has a yard, I’m happy to spend time playing outside and helping them burn off energy. My goal is always to make pets feel safe and comfortable.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and the hands-on experience I’ve built over the past 8+ years caring for my own pug as well as dogs belonging to friends. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities — from energetic huskies and playful poodles to smaller breeds like chihuahuas. I understand that every dog has different needs, routines, and comfort levels, and I always make it a priority to provide attentive, and reliable care. Whether it’s going on walks, playtime, feeding, or simply making sure your dog feels safe and comfortable. I’m especially good at adapting to different energy levels and I take pride in being dependable, communicative, and someone pet owners can trust with their furry family members. I currently have open availability throughout most weekdays during the daytime. This gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention and care they need. In the evenings, I am generally unavailable after 6 PM. Weekend availability can vary depending on my schedule, but I’m always happy to communicate and coordinate in advance to see what works best. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. For drop-ins and walks, I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding, water, medications, exercise needs, and any behavioral preferences. Safety is very important to me, so I make sure pets are always secure during walks and monitored closely at all times. I also respect clients’ homes by keeping everything tidy, and provide regular updates and photos upon request so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for :)
About: I have a 1 year old puppy Finnigan who could use a friend as I work from home. I would have to make sure the dogs meet in advance to ensure a good match. I work from home and my typical schedule for walks with Finny is a 40min walk at lunchtime and a 20min walk after work. We would love to make new friends! I have a one bedroom condo with a balcony overlooking a forest. Finnigan is friendly with almost all dogs and people. I am laid back and friendly!
“Susan's care of Indie was spot on!.....She met with Indie 2X per day, sent me pictures, and kept me updated the entire time. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with Sue, and appreciate her care of the 4 legged baby! Will definitely book Sue again!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was very young, my family had dogs of all breeds and sizes, and I have owned 2 beautiful Golden Retrievers. I have looked after friends’ dogs over the years in my home and out for walks. Dogs are such great company I have recently retired from my full time job, so I have lots of time to devote to your dog, whether it is out for walks, boarding at my home or visiting your pet in your home. Available weekdays and weekends, and I don’t mind early morning walks. I have a super friendly 9 year old Golden boy called Milo who loves other dogs and would be happy to keep your dog company. I have a fenced in yard and we like to take a lot of walks every day. Would be happy to adapt to your pet’s needs as required
“This was my first booking with Madisyn. She was great with my kitty Theo. I am very particular about who I leave him in the care of because he is very temperamental and needs to follow a bit of a regimented routine for his health. She met all of my requests without hesitation. She kept me updated with photos and kept in contact with me and even kept track of his bathroom schedule! She also brushed him because he has A LOT of hair - important as a preventative measure so he does not get a blockage(he previously had surgery to remove a hairball!) Theo seemed to have a really good time with her & be very comfortable in her care based on the Live Photos. He loves play time which she was sure to include with each visit. Will definitely be using Madisyn again in the future & highly recommend her if you want someone who is responsible, understanding and who will honestly go above and beyond for your pet so that you can feel at ease when you are not there to take care of them yourself.”

Sadly im not available to care for your dog in my home but I’m available for dog sitting during day, evening and overnight in your home. I will take really great care of your dog in their own home where they’re comfortable and settled. About: I've had pets (dogs and cats) since I was 5 years old. So that's over 50 years of loving and living with my fur babies. I currently have two dogs - one 12 year old Pomeranian mix and a 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix. I volunteer at the Burlington Humane Society in the cat area doing cleaning and maintenance. Also, I have gotten my older dog certified as a therapy dog and together we visit a dementia clinic once a week. It is enrichening to all - the patients, my dog and myself. I am now retired which gives me more spare time to spend with as many animals as possible since I find it enjoyable and very rewarding. Since we have two dogs I understand the need to balance exercise and rest as to not overstimulated the dogs. I will be with your dog during feeding time to properly monitor their food and water intake and ensure that they are well fed and comfortable. When out on walks your dog will be leashed at all times (with NO exceptions). Also, we will not take your dog to any dog parks. Any play time with toys will be supervised to ensure safety - e.i. Toys are not chewed and eaten The more information that you are able to provide the better as that will enable me to properly care for your dog. Some pet parents like to provide a written copy of all their dog’s information which is very useful to have as an easy reference. This is not mandatory as long as your dog’s profile on Rover is as updated as possible. I am retired and have a lot of spare time to play and care for your fur baby. I would be available during the day for walks and my home would be open to care for your pet anytime during the week. My husband and I live in a condo unit and although we have no back yard we walk our dogs at least 3 times a day around the neighborhood. There are many walking paths in my area and we are very close to Bronte Park. We have two small dogs (male 12 year old Pomeranian mix and female 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix) so your dog would have playmates during his/her stay.
“Avalon was such a sweetheart, she took such good care of our cat Oliver during our vacation. She visited him during our absence for 3 weeks, followed all our instructions and we had a peace of mind knowing our fury baby is safe and sound. I hope Avalon will be available the next time we go away so she could take care of Oliver again! :)”

Burlington dog parents share their Rover experiences
For our first time using Rover, we’re so happy we found Julie! Our dog Milo has a special routine since recovering from IVDD a few years back - we know this can be intimidating for a lot of people. Julie met with us in advance prior to booking to meet Milo and understand his needs which provided a lot of comfort for us. We were able to go away for the weekend and knew Milo was in great hands - he absolutely loved Julie ☺️ She provided great updates and lots of pictures, and gave Milo lots of love and attention. We look forward to booking with Julie again ☺️

Lorraine did a drop-in visit for our puppy Ollie when our usually sitters were unavailable and we will definitely book with her again in the future. She responds to messages in a timely manner and the detail that she put into Ollie’s visit card was unmatched. Not to mention her genuine care for Ollie… she was doing a 30min visit for us and she ended up staying a little extra because Ollie had fallen asleep on her lap after some playtime. She was also great when initially meeting Ollie at our meet and greet. She gave him time to warm up to her as a stranger in his home and it wasn’t long before she was getting some kisses from him. I highly recommend booking with Lorraine.

Natasha is a wonderful pet sitter and person!!! My dogs loved her instantly, which is uncommon for them. She is friendly, punctual and flexible. I had peace of mind that my dogs were well cared for went I was on vacation! She is also knowledgeable on e-collar training which is a bonus! Thank you so much Natasha!
