About: I’ve owned and taken care of pets for most of my life. Growing up my family has had dogs, cats, bunnies, fish and even a cockatiel. I’ve house sat and dog sat multiple times and come away with a new best friend each time. I work full time from home during the week on a fully flexible schedule. I can essentially take breaks from work whenever I need throughout the day to attend to any errands or responsibilities on my schedule, pet care included. I am generally pretty free in the evenings & weekends. I am a young, agile and strong pet lover who can adapt to the animal I am with. For bigger more domineering animals I am comfortable taking care of them & for more docile pet I can be a delicate gentle teddy bear as well!
“I couldn’t be more grateful for Dijla’s kindness and care. The level of passion she puts into what she does is second to none. My kitties look forward to their next slumber party with Dijla!”
“Once again Julie is fantastic as always with my person-picky kitty. So thankful to have her around to take care of my little oldie but feisty tortie :) definitely recommend.”

“Great communication! Meredith is lovely and truly cared about my cat. I was anxious about leaving her all by herself but I needn't have worried. I got lots of updates and pictures/videos. Everything was perfect when I got home from my vacation. So appreciate you.”

“Unbelievably awesome! Even with a dog that is large (!!) and can be difficult with new people! Helped with a last minute booking and saved my life or at least a lot of stress. Thank you so much for your help!”

“Madeline made me feel very calm and ensured that my gracie was being well taken care off. She was able to reduce my anxiety of being away from my cat. She was an amazing sitter and will definitely book again!”

“From our very first meeting we felt like Lorraine was so comfortable to be with. Our cat Sherlock absolutely loved her and was immediately purring around her during our meet and greet. Lorraine has been a perfect caring sitter and substitute mommy for Sherlock. She's sent us many pictures and lots of details during each visit. Each check in has been on time and detailed. Once home everything was perfectly in order and our fur baby was a relaxed and happy cat. Our first experience with Rover and Lorraine has been nothing short of phenomenal.”

“Heather was amazing with my cats! She played with them and they warmed up to her quickly. She left the litter box clean. And they had fresh food and water. Couldn’t have asked for better help. Thank you, Heather!”

“I was very pleased with Caroline’s drop in visits with my two cats for a week. She was very thorough in her daily messages / report cards, sending photos and outlining any concerns she may have had, which was very helpful. My boys seemed to be in good hands for the week. I would definitely recommend Caroline’s services and would not hesitate to book her in the future should I need someone to look after my cats. Thank you Caroline!”
“Emily was an absolute lifesaver! She took incredible care of our cats while we were away and made our vacation completely stress-free. She was kind, attentive, and consistently shared updates that gave us total peace of mind. Our cats were clearly comfortable and happy under her care. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter — highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for someone truly trustworthy and caring!”

About: I've had pets (dogs and cats) since I was 5 years old. So that's over 50 years of loving and living with my fur babies. I currently have two dogs - one 12 year old Pomeranian mix and a 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix. I volunteer at the Burlington Humane Society in the cat area doing cleaning and maintenance. Also, I have gotten my older dog certified as a therapy dog and together we visit a dementia clinic once a week. It is enrichening to all - the patients, my dog and myself. I am now retired which gives me more spare time to spend with as many animals as possible since I find it enjoyable and very rewarding. Since we have two dogs I understand the need to balance exercise and rest as to not overstimulated the dogs. I will be with your dog during feeding time to properly monitor their food and water intake and ensure that they are well fed and comfortable. When out on walks your dog will be leashed at all times (with NO exceptions). Also, we will not take your dog to any dog parks. Any play time with toys will be supervised to ensure safety - e.i. Toys are not chewed and eaten The more information that you are able to provide the better as that will enable me to properly care for your dog. Some pet parents like to provide a written copy of all their dog’s information which is very useful to have as an easy reference. This is not mandatory as long as your dog’s profile on Rover is as updated as possible. I am retired and have a lot of spare time to play and care for your fur baby. I would be available during the day for walks and my home would be open to care for your pet anytime during the week. My husband and I live in a condo unit and although we have no back yard we walk our dogs at least 3 times a day around the neighborhood. There are many walking paths in my area and we are very close to Bronte Park. We have two small dogs (male 12 year old Pomeranian mix and female 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix) so your dog would have playmates during his/her stay.
About: As a lifelong pet owner, I've always had a house filled with multiple pets. From kittens and puppies to seniors. As small as 5lb chihuahuas to 95lb labs, I have experience with all ages, stages and sizes. I'm currently in the start-up phase of creating my own home-based business so have lots of availability during the weekday. As a mom to two, evenings and weekends can be challenging but may be possible. I'm a very affectionate caregiver and love showering dogs and cats with lots of pets and snuggles. Each pet gets treated as if they were my own. As an avid traveller, I know what it's like to leave your pet in someone's care and the disappointment that can come when the caregiver does not live up to your expectations, and I vow not to do that to another family. I will treat your pet and home with the utmost respect.
About: I grew up with two dogs and was always fascinated about dogs as I grew I realized the bigger the dog the more I am in love Currently I'm a dedicated volunteer at kerr street mission in-between that I enjoy reading at the library so when it comes to pet care I'm super flexible I've been researching animals from a young age and I find it very easy to pick up cues from them that other people don't see
About: I’ve taken care of awkward dogs, affectionate dogs, chill dogs and I have experience with feeding them their special diets as instructed and following any specific potty time habits they may have to help them go potty. For example this one dog I dogsat would have to spin around in circles a few times before he went potty. I have experience staying overnight with dogs as well as cats. I have cats of my own as well and I’ve been around all kinds of pets my whole life so I’m very comfortable around most pets. I will be attending full time school in September but I will have time in between classes or before/after where I can schedule play dates and walks. When I enter the home I keep my energy calm. I try to get a read on whether the pet is comfortable with being approached. Then if they are, I hold out my hand so they can sniff it and familiarize themselves with my scent. I will follow any specific instructions there are so I can make sure they’re following their routine. I will play with them. A lot of the dogs I take care of enjoy tug o war or fetch. But with any pet, before play time I would want to have some time to just sit around them so they can get used to me before we start playing/walking. If possible I would prefer to set up a test meeting with pets and parents beforehand.
About: I’ve been a trusted dog sitter/walker for friends and family from ages 13-20. At 20, I got my own dog and we’ve been inseparable! I have trained her and got her socialized from a puppy age! I’m currently working part-time and studying for the LSAT! I’m very good at time management and will make sure that your pet gets undivided attention and extraordinary care! I can easily crate your dog if required, take them on walks, and interact with them in the way in which they are used! For example, if they are high-energy, I will make sure to reciprocate it.
“This was my first booking with Madisyn. She was great with my kitty Theo. I am very particular about who I leave him in the care of because he is very temperamental and needs to follow a bit of a regimented routine for his health. She met all of my requests without hesitation. She kept me updated with photos and kept in contact with me and even kept track of his bathroom schedule! She also brushed him because he has A LOT of hair - important as a preventative measure so he does not get a blockage(he previously had surgery to remove a hairball!) Theo seemed to have a really good time with her & be very comfortable in her care based on the Live Photos. He loves play time which she was sure to include with each visit. Will definitely be using Madisyn again in the future & highly recommend her if you want someone who is responsible, understanding and who will honestly go above and beyond for your pet so that you can feel at ease when you are not there to take care of them yourself.”

Emily was absolutely amazing checking in on TJ while I was on vacation! She truly went above and beyond and made me feel completely comfortable knowing he was in great hands. She sent lots of updates and photos with every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Emily was reliable, caring, and clearly treated TJ like her own. If you’re like me and feel anxious about leaving your pets for any period of time, you can absolutely trust Emily to take great care of them. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful pet sitter, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Lorraine took fantastic care of our two cats while we were away. We truly loved receiving her regular updates and the many beautiful photos she sent, which made being away so much easier. She is reliable, caring, and highly professional. We will definitely ask her to look after our cats again.

Once again, I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Laura. I had to leave my little furry friend at home while traveling for work, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in Laura’s care. She always takes wonderful care of him, keeps him entertained and happy, and regularly sends me lots of photos and videos, which gives me great peace of mind while I’m away.

Michelle was amazing. She sent photos, kept us updated on Luna's eating, and followed all instructions. She washed Luna's dishes even though we said she could just toss them in the dishwasher and even put bird videos on the TV to entertain Luna :) I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to pop in and feed or check on their pet while they are away. Fantastic experience

I can’t say exactly say why, but I’ve had terrible experiences with finding a reliable sitter that Lucy and I both liked, until now. I was leaving for the Caribbean and needed a reliable caregiver for Lucy that I could trust. Will was and is fantastic. We booked him for this weekend too and again it went seamlessly. There was something that went wrong in my home and I’m so grateful that Will handled it perfectly. Most importantly, he took really great care of Lucy and our home!

As always, Caroline provided awesome care for my two cats while I was away. She tried various ways to coax my kitten out of hiding until he became familiar and friendly with her and catered to my senior cat by finding him and bringing food and treats to him when he would not appear during her visits. Her communication was excellent as well.

We had a positive experience with Rachel. While we were away for a night, she visited our home to feed our two cats who need individualized portions and are quite scared of strangers. Rachel followed our instructions and left our place clean. Thank you, Rachel :)
