About: As a lifelong pet owner, I've always had a house filled with multiple pets. From kittens and puppies to seniors. As small as 5lb chihuahuas to 95lb labs, I have experience with all ages, stages and sizes. I'm currently in the start-up phase of creating my own home-based business so have lots of availability during the weekday. As a mom to two, evenings and weekends can be challenging but may be possible. I'm a very affectionate caregiver and love showering dogs and cats with lots of pets and snuggles. Each pet gets treated as if they were my own. As an avid traveller, I know what it's like to leave your pet in someone's care and the disappointment that can come when the caregiver does not live up to your expectations, and I vow not to do that to another family. I will treat your pet and home with the utmost respect.
About: I’ve taken care of awkward dogs, affectionate dogs, chill dogs and I have experience with feeding them their special diets as instructed and following any specific potty time habits they may have to help them go potty. For example this one dog I dogsat would have to spin around in circles a few times before he went potty. I have experience staying overnight with dogs as well as cats. I have cats of my own as well and I’ve been around all kinds of pets my whole life so I’m very comfortable around most pets. I will be attending full time school in September but I will have time in between classes or before/after where I can schedule play dates and walks. When I enter the home I keep my energy calm. I try to get a read on whether the pet is comfortable with being approached. Then if they are, I hold out my hand so they can sniff it and familiarize themselves with my scent. I will follow any specific instructions there are so I can make sure they’re following their routine. I will play with them. A lot of the dogs I take care of enjoy tug o war or fetch. But with any pet, before play time I would want to have some time to just sit around them so they can get used to me before we start playing/walking. If possible I would prefer to set up a test meeting with pets and parents beforehand.
About: I grew up rescuing stray dogs and cats in Mauritius and had 2 dogs and 4 cats as best friends! My husband Anthony grew up with large dogs and several cats throughout the years. As always, Caroline provided awesome care for my two cats while I was away. She tried various ways to coax my kitten out of hiding until he became familiar and friendly with her and catered to my senior cat by finding him and bringing food and treats to him when he would not appear during her visits. Her communication was excellent as well.
