“Heather took great care of our XL rottweiler/dogo mixed breed who is high energy and extremely intelligent. She left a thank-you card and provided photos of a very happy and entertained big-boy while we were away for the day in Toronto. We recommend and will be re-booking soon and often. -Stephen&Kristen”

“I would recommend Emily to any friends or family. Emily was able to come in and walk my dog on such short notice. My animals trusted her and so did I. She provided regular updates and pictures Thankyou”

“Shannon took excellent care of my brand new puppy! She provided me constant updates throughout the day on how my puppy was doing while I was at work which allowed me to go about my day knowing my puppy was in excellent hands. Will definitely be booking Shannon again and recommending her to friends and family!”

“Unbelievably awesome! Even with a dog that is large (!!) and can be difficult with new people! Helped with a last minute booking and saved my life or at least a lot of stress. Thank you so much for your help!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I’ve grown up with them in my home and for the past year I’ve helped care for my cousin’s dog since she was a puppy. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, playtime, and giving lots of attention. Your pet will be loved and cared for like one of my own! I work full time, but caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for in my daily routine. I plan my days to include morning and evening walks, feedings, and check-ins, and I’m very mindful of keeping pets on their usual schedule. After work, I’m happy to spend quality time playing, walking, or just keeping them company. On weekends, I have more flexibility and love being able to give extra attention and longer walks. I treat every pet as part of my own routine, not as an add-on, and always make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. I provide loving, attentive care either in my pet-friendly building with a fenced dog park, or in my client’s home, always following each pet’s routine closely. I make sure pets get regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention. If your home has a yard, I’m happy to spend time playing outside and helping them burn off energy. My goal is always to make pets feel safe and comfortable.
“Julie was extremely flexible and accommodating for my pet care needs. I needed more than 2 weeks of care covered in a pinch and she was able to make it happen. Julie was thorough to make sure Cosmo was well taken care of, and he always looked super happy on his walks. I’m sure Cosmo will miss you Julie. Thank you!”

“Great communication! Meredith is lovely and truly cared about my cat. I was anxious about leaving her all by herself but I needn't have worried. I got lots of updates and pictures/videos. Everything was perfect when I got home from my vacation. So appreciate you.”

“We’ve had Caroline check in on our cat twice now and she has been fantastic! Very reliable and great communication. We love the report card at the end with updates and pictures. We know our cat is in good hands. It’s nice to have someone check in and replenish food, water and the litter but also give our cat some attention too. Thank you Caroline, we really appreciate you!”

I have had a dog with leishmania and also took care of a dog with diabetes many times. I can also arrange safe feeding spots and schedules if the dog needs them. I currently have my furred baby and 2 turtles. I have been a dog owner since I was 15 and never stopped since. I have taken care of dogs with different needs, from a diabetes to a rescued dog who had special feeding needs. They are all welcomed and loved. Currently on a hybrid work with alternate days with my husband. I can adapt to any needs as safe space, crate, feeding schedule, medications. I have the will, the possibilities, and the experience.
“From our very first meeting we felt like Lorraine was so comfortable to be with. Our cat Sherlock absolutely loved her and was immediately purring around her during our meet and greet. Lorraine has been a perfect caring sitter and substitute mommy for Sherlock. She's sent us many pictures and lots of details during each visit. Each check in has been on time and detailed. Once home everything was perfectly in order and our fur baby was a relaxed and happy cat. Our first experience with Rover and Lorraine has been nothing short of phenomenal.”

About: As a lifelong pet owner, I've always had a house filled with multiple pets. From kittens and puppies to seniors. As small as 5lb chihuahuas to 95lb labs, I have experience with all ages, stages and sizes. I'm currently in the start-up phase of creating my own home-based business so have lots of availability during the weekday. As a mom to two, evenings and weekends can be challenging but may be possible. I'm a very affectionate caregiver and love showering dogs and cats with lots of pets and snuggles. Each pet gets treated as if they were my own. As an avid traveller, I know what it's like to leave your pet in someone's care and the disappointment that can come when the caregiver does not live up to your expectations, and I vow not to do that to another family. I will treat your pet and home with the utmost respect.

I’m very attentive to the animals in my care and always make their safety comfort and wellbeing my top priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible so they feel safe relaxed and well cared for in their familiar environment. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and understand that every pet has different needs personalities and routines. I pay close attention to their behaviour habits and overall wellbeing and I would never hesitate to reach out to an owner if I had any concerns about their pet. I take the responsibility of caring for someone else’s animal very seriously because I know I would only want the very best care for my own pets. I always aim to create a calm loving and trustworthy environment where pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident leaving their pets in my care.
“Grateful to Rachel for looking after my girl! Esper is normally shy of new people but she took to Rachel immediately! I couldn’t believe it! She’s a dog whisperer :) highly recommend and would happily use Rachel again.”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of pets for most of my life. Growing up my family has had dogs, cats, bunnies, fish and even a cockatiel. I’ve house sat and dog sat multiple times and come away with a new best friend each time. I work full time from home during the week on a fully flexible schedule. I can essentially take breaks from work whenever I need throughout the day to attend to any errands or responsibilities on my schedule, pet care included. I am generally pretty free in the evenings & weekends. I am a young, agile and strong pet lover who can adapt to the animal I am with. For bigger more domineering animals I am comfortable taking care of them & for more docile pet I can be a delicate gentle teddy bear as well!

About: I've had pets (dogs and cats) since I was 5 years old. So that's over 50 years of loving and living with my fur babies. I currently have two dogs - one 12 year old Pomeranian mix and a 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix. I volunteer at the Burlington Humane Society in the cat area doing cleaning and maintenance. Also, I have gotten my older dog certified as a therapy dog and together we visit a dementia clinic once a week. It is enrichening to all - the patients, my dog and myself. I am now retired which gives me more spare time to spend with as many animals as possible since I find it enjoyable and very rewarding. Since we have two dogs I understand the need to balance exercise and rest as to not overstimulated the dogs. I will be with your dog during feeding time to properly monitor their food and water intake and ensure that they are well fed and comfortable. When out on walks your dog will be leashed at all times (with NO exceptions). Also, we will not take your dog to any dog parks. Any play time with toys will be supervised to ensure safety - e.i. Toys are not chewed and eaten The more information that you are able to provide the better as that will enable me to properly care for your dog. Some pet parents like to provide a written copy of all their dog’s information which is very useful to have as an easy reference. This is not mandatory as long as your dog’s profile on Rover is as updated as possible. I am retired and have a lot of spare time to play and care for your fur baby. I would be available during the day for walks and my home would be open to care for your pet anytime during the week. My husband and I live in a condo unit and although we have no back yard we walk our dogs at least 3 times a day around the neighborhood. There are many walking paths in my area and we are very close to Bronte Park. We have two small dogs (male 12 year old Pomeranian mix and female 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix) so your dog would have playmates during his/her stay.
About: Dogs, Cats, Bunnies, Horses, Reptiles.. you name it, I’ve probably had one! Very comfortable around all animals. 15+ years in the animal care industry. Volunteered at local humane societies in both the cat/dog sections. I am currently working a full-time hybrid job but I am very flexible and have previously had success doing both! We can make something work! I always follow owner guidelines for their daily care and routine. I am extremely patient and will make sure your pets have what they need - whether that is a bed time cuddle, or their own space. I love to walk so no walk is too long!
“Kimberly is excellent, I can’t stress that enough. We are away from our fur babies for 3 weeks and I’m calm knowing they are in her care. Thank you so much Kim, the care you gave to my kitties go beyond words.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Burlington
Michelle was amazing. She sent photos, kept us updated on Luna's eating, and followed all instructions. She washed Luna's dishes even though we said she could just toss them in the dishwasher and even put bird videos on the TV to entertain Luna :) I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to pop in and feed or check on their pet while they are away. Fantastic experience

We are so fortunate to have found Dee and Shane. After meeting them you can tell that they truly love animals and we felt a lot of comfort knowing that they would be taking care of our cats. While we were gone they sent us the cutest pictures and notes which was very comforting. We will definitely be using Dee and Shane as catsitters in the future. I know our cats will be looking forward to it!

Emily did a fantastic job sitting Moose and Maverick. Never has anyone got close to them as quickly as she did. Normally they run and hide when someone visits. Emily got them to interact with he on the first visit.she is definitely a cat whisperer. When I came home they greeted me immediately. Which was unusual. They were very friendly, no hissing and stayed with me the rest of the night.I really think they were expecting Emily. I thank Emily for a job well done and look forward to having her look after Moose and Maverick in the future.

I can’t say exactly say why, but I’ve had terrible experiences with finding a reliable sitter that Lucy and I both liked, until now. I was leaving for the Caribbean and needed a reliable caregiver for Lucy that I could trust. Will was and is fantastic. We booked him for this weekend too and again it went seamlessly. There was something that went wrong in my home and I’m so grateful that Will handled it perfectly. Most importantly, he took really great care of Lucy and our home!

As always, Caroline provided awesome care for my two cats while I was away. She tried various ways to coax my kitten out of hiding until he became familiar and friendly with her and catered to my senior cat by finding him and bringing food and treats to him when he would not appear during her visits. Her communication was excellent as well.

We had a positive experience with Rachel. While we were away for a night, she visited our home to feed our two cats who need individualized portions and are quite scared of strangers. Rachel followed our instructions and left our place clean. Thank you, Rachel :)
