About: I’ve owned and taken care of pets for most of my life. Growing up my family has had dogs, cats, bunnies, fish and even a cockatiel. I’ve house sat and dog sat multiple times and come away with a new best friend each time. I work full time from home during the week on a fully flexible schedule. I can essentially take breaks from work whenever I need throughout the day to attend to any errands or responsibilities on my schedule, pet care included. About: I've had pets (dogs and cats) since I was 5 years old. So that's over 50 years of loving and living with my fur babies. I currently have two dogs - one 12 year old Pomeranian mix and a 4 year old Bichon Frisée mix. I volunteer at the Burlington Humane Society in the cat area doing cleaning and maintenance. When out on walks your dog will be leashed at all times (with NO exceptions). Also, we will not take your dog to any dog parks. Any play time with toys will be supervised to ensure safety - e.i. Toys are not chewed and eaten The more information that you are able to provide the better as that will enable me to properly care for your dog. Some pet parents like to provide a written copy of all their dog’s information which is very useful to have as an easy reference. About: I’ve taken care of awkward dogs, affectionate dogs, chill dogs and I have experience with feeding them their special diets as instructed and following any specific potty time habits they may have to help them go potty. For example this one dog I dogsat would have to spin around in circles a few times before he went potty. I have experience staying overnight with dogs as well as cats. I have cats of my own as well and I’ve been around all kinds of pets my whole life so I’m very comfortable around most pets. I will be attending full time school in September but I will have time in between classes or before/after where I can schedule play dates and walks. When I enter the home I keep my energy calm. I try to get a read on whether the pet is comfortable with being approached. Then if they are, I hold out my hand so they can sniff it and familiarize themselves with my scent. I will follow any specific instructions there are so I can make sure they’re following their routine. I will play with them. A lot of the dogs I take care of enjoy tug o war or fetch. But with any pet, before play time I would want to have some time to just sit around them so they can get used to me before we start playing/walking. If possible I would prefer to set up a test meeting with pets and parents beforehand.

I can’t say exactly say why, but I’ve had terrible experiences with finding a reliable sitter that Lucy and I both liked, until now. I was leaving for the Caribbean and needed a reliable caregiver for Lucy that I could trust. Will was and is fantastic. We booked him for this weekend too and again it went seamlessly. There was something that went wrong in my home and I’m so grateful that Will handled it perfectly. Most importantly, he took really great care of Lucy and our home!
As always, Caroline provided awesome care for my two cats while I was away. She tried various ways to coax my kitten out of hiding until he became familiar and friendly with her and catered to my senior cat by finding him and bringing food and treats to him when he would not appear during her visits. Her communication was excellent as well.
