“Meghan came and watched my dog last minute and was super great updating me on how she’s doing and felt super comfortable with her. My dog loved her and I can’t recommend her enough!! Will be rebooking for sure!”

“Paige looked after our two cats, one who is diabetic, and did an excellent job! She provided us with great updates while we were gone and we were able to enjoy our trip as we knew our cats were in good hands. We will definitely use her again!”
About: Most of my pet care experiences are from owning lizard and fishes. But 5 months ago, I started dog walking and I recently adopted a cat and I realized how much I enjoyed being around furry friends ✨️😊 Since it's my summer break from college, I would love to use this as opportunity to enjoy my summer break with furry friends while earning money. When I'm walking my dog client, I make sure he gets his exercise by playing catch, walking, playing with other dogs, exploring, and I make sure to keep him safe. I make sure my cat at home also gets his playtime with me, make sure his bowls are cleaned every time I refill his bowl for food and water 😊
“Alicia took exceptional care of our cat, Duncan, while we were away on vacation. Duncan was a stray and sometimes takes a little bit to warm up to people… but not Alicia! He loved her in less than a day. She definitely will be at the top of our list for pet care in the future.”

“Ryan provided great cat sitting while we were out for the long weekend. He came to meet us and our cat before the trip and while we were away he sent us daily updates and photos, which we looked forward to and very much enjoyed! We could see our cat was happy and well cared for. We would highly recommend Ryan and will definitely use his services again in the future.”

“This was Lorin’s second time doing drop-in-visits with my two kittens. I really appreciate Lorin’s communication and dependability. We once again came home to two happy kittens!”

“Melanie is awesome! This was our first time having a cat sitter and she made everything easy for us by providing updates after each visit. She truly cares about the four legged family members!”

“Natalie was awesome taking care of my cat! Friendly, very responsive, followed all instructions and provided daily updates. I also had the chance to see her spaces for cat boarding and they are wonderful! Definitely booking with her again next time I travel.”

“This was my first time using Rover.com and trusting my cats to another person besides my family or neighbour. I knew the first day that Macy came to meet the cats that I had no reason to be concerned. Each day of my trip, I received a quick message updating me on the progress she was making with my very shy cat and the affection she was showing my very needy cat:-). I have two rescue cats, each with very quirky issues and Macy wasn't deterred by their needs. Our pets are family and it was nice to have Macy be part of that family.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 15. Whether it be my grandmas, our families or friends, I have been responsible to walk, feed and bathe them for years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule to take breaks during work hours to walk your pups or as well as in the early morning or evening. Establishing trust between myself and the dog is the most important. Firstly, I stay calm and allow for some time and space to reassure them I’m not threatening and establish familiarity. I provide regular check-ins for ease of mind and work to establish a regular routine for the animals in my care. I am passionate about animal care and find it sincerely therapeutic.

Melanie was such an amazing cat sitter! We were away for a few days, and she was so attentive and genuinely caring with our cats. Every day, she sent us updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. It was clear that our cats were in great hands and felt very comfortable with her. She really took the time to play with them and make sure they were happy and well-fed. She made sure the checklist is met every day. Our cats were calm and happy when we got home! We are so glad we found Melanie and will definitely book with her again for our next trip.

Guangxu and Shirley, Were very good and followed all the instructions for jasmines care and food and they came on time. They were constantly in touch when required and also provided us lots of pictures and updates while we were away. Which was very assuring. They were responsive to all questions I had and were very prompt.i would definitely call them again for Jasmine

Thank you Ryan for looking after S’mores so well. We appreciate your updates and photos and look forward to them almost as much as S'mores looks forward to his food and daily brushing! Going away knowing our kitty is well taken care off is very much appreciated. Thank you!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
