“Karylle did a good job taking care of my cat while I was away. She always arrived as scheduled and spent quality time with my cat. Karylle is a responsible, thoughtful, and trustworthy sitter. I would definitely be happy to have her take care of my cat again in the future. Highly recommended.”

“Lorin was so amazing and no doubt I will be booking her again. We have a high energy, anxiety filled frenchie who is reactive on a leash with dogs and i've been soooo hesitant to leave her with a sitter but Lorin was the best decision I made. She gave me frequent updates and photos of Stevie and always kept me in the loop of what was going on. She was extremely organized and put my stress at peace when leaving Stevie alone in the house. Thank you Lorin!!!!”

“Melanie is awesome! This was our first time having a cat sitter and she made everything easy for us by providing updates after each visit. She truly cares about the four legged family members!”

“Alicia came over for a meet-and-greet and immediately established rapport with our cat (and also our toddler). She was friendly and non-judgmental about a messy house and some of our cat's odd routines. We're thrilled to have her as our new cat sitter!”

“Really grateful to Meghan for ensuring our dog was well taken care of. She walked him, fed him and gave him lots of love. The communication was great and she shared lots of cute photos!”

“Thank you Brittany for taking care of Miles for the week I was away :) . He was in very good spirits as soon as I arrived home and that's certainly the most important thing, and was not my experience with a previous trip where a neighbour watched my previous cat (I came home and she was hiding scared in the sink, so coming home to a happy boy was really very heartwarming) Brittany was always very quick to respond if I had questions and always made sure spend the time with Miles, even though he largely ignored her because he is very shy and knows very few people. That's about what I expected and she provided a good balance of trying to give him attention while also leaving him alone when he didn't want it. I will definitely consider Brittany in the future if I need someone to watch Miles or any potential future pets.”

“Ryan was terrific! I needed someone to help me out with my dog last minute and he saved the day. He was super professional and I appreciated the photos! Would absolutely recommend”

“Kristina is wonderful! She looked after our cat Rosie like she was her own. Kristina provided a thorough summary and photos of every visit so we were assured that all was well at home while we were away. I would highly recommend Kristina for all of your pet care needs. We will definitely be engaging her again in the future. Thank you Kristina!!”

About: My partner and I have hands-on experience raising one kitten and one puppy from 6 weeks old—covering weaning, socialization, potty training, and round-the-clock care in those early weeks. I later cared for my own cat for 1.5 years (full daily care and vet visits) before rehoming due to allergies, and now raise a happy cockapoo at home. With both of us working from home full-time (software engineer + data scientist), your pet will receive constant attention, play, and love in a safe, pet-friendly environment. My partner and I both work from home full time. And mostly free on weekends as well, so one or both of us are always available to take care of your pet. For drop ins, we prefer 6-10pm on weekdays and 12-10pm on weekends. We live in a three storied townhouse with a fenced yard and one friendly cockapoo to keep your pet company and offer frequent potty breaks. We also work from home full time so rest assured someone will almost always be at home with your pet. We prefer crating dogs when we’re are out to avoid harm to both our pets and our home.

About: I have taken care of dogs that range in many different breeds and sizes. I’ve either walked/sat my friend’s dogs or I’ve taken care of my cousins dog for an average of a week! I have finished working full time for my co-op and will in Oakville and fully available for the summer. In September I will be living in Guelph for school but I have an open available for summer! I am able to stop by to feed and let your dog out, take dogs on walking ranging in length to fit your dog’s needs (or even take them to a dog park!), I can also work with cats! I can stop by to keep them company during the day if you find your pet gets anxious without people in your home!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oakville
This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my cat in our own home instead of taking her to a family member's. I am so grateful that Alicia was available to look after my cat, as she was incredibly kind and helpful! My cat is not aggressive by any means, but as a Calico, she's not the friendliest and Alicia was so patient with her. I really felt like I could trust Alicia and with her open communication, I really felt reassured. I highly recommend Alicia to anyone looking!
Guangxu and Shirley, Were very good and followed all the instructions for jasmines care and food and they came on time. They were constantly in touch when required and also provided us lots of pictures and updates while we were away. Which was very assuring. They were responsive to all questions I had and were very prompt.i would definitely call them again for Jasmine

Thank you Ryan for looking after S’mores so well. We appreciate your updates and photos and look forward to them almost as much as S'mores looks forward to his food and daily brushing! Going away knowing our kitty is well taken care off is very much appreciated. Thank you!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
