About: Most of my pet care experiences are from owning lizard and fishes. But 5 months ago, I started dog walking and I recently adopted a cat and I realized how much I enjoyed being around furry friends ✨️😊 Since it's my summer break from college, I would love to use this as opportunity to enjoy my summer break with furry friends while earning money. When I'm walking my dog client, I make sure he gets his exercise by playing catch, walking, playing with other dogs, exploring, and I make sure to keep him safe. I make sure my cat at home also gets his playtime with me, make sure his bowls are cleaned every time I refill his bowl for food and water 😊
“It's the 2nd time I used Paige. She is awesome. Always on time and spend enough time with my cat. My fur ball definitely love her! I definitely recommend Paige to anyone looking for a cat sitter.”

“This was Lorin’s second time doing drop-in-visits with my two kittens. I really appreciate Lorin’s communication and dependability. We once again came home to two happy kittens!”

About: I am a long-time pet lover and owner! I've had large and small dogs along with cats over my life. I had a large dog (Rottweiler 98lbs) with aggression issues, so I'm not put off by a little attitude from your pet. Every animal has its own personality just like humans. I am certified in Canine First Aid and have Dog Behaviour (basic), Dog to Dog Aggression, Canine Separation Anxiety, Daycare & Group Play Assessment and Dog Walking Certification course training. I lost my pet recently from cancer and am not ready to readopt yet. I promise I will love and care for your pet as my own. I promise to be very respectful and tidy while in/around your home. I feel that communication is very important while pet parents are away, so I like to give updates and photos of our adventures. I am Oakville born and raised. I went to St.Mildred's & OTHS then studied at George Brown College. I live in Old Oakville. I am an activist on animal rights and do what I can to help ALL animals. You may find me at a protest or rally fighting for the rights of all animals on the weekends. I am very close with my family so don't be surprised if you see my folks at the house hanging out. I grew up in an animal house and my folks love animals also but don't have any pets right now either. I would love a chance to meet you and your pet family! I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you :) I am a pet sitting Professional!! That's what I do!! I take care and love your pet like it was my own. I prefer to keep the dogs with me during the day if I can and they usually love the little adventures. I also have a car so we can go to a mix of parks. I live at a house with my parents with nice little yard and a park right out front. This makes it easy for quick walk and lots of good smell to keep the dog cognitive arousal fulfilled. There is an abundance of parks around me.
“It was an absolute pleasure having Natalie care for my two cats while I was away. I truly can’t speak highly enough of her level of care and attention. She went above and beyond to ensure they were well looked after, and it gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands.”

“Ryan was terrific! I needed someone to help me out with my dog last minute and he saved the day. He was super professional and I appreciated the photos! Would absolutely recommend”

“Thank you Melanie for taking care of Scotch. I know he can be a handful to warmup (this is the character of a Norwegian Elkhound) but you managed to take total control over him. You took two days of your own time to come and get to know Scotch and that gave me the confidence not only you are trying to make an effort you are a truly a genuine person so I had no issue leaving my house all opened to a total stranger. You arrived on time and fed him and played with him. I will definitely will want to use your services again. Thank you and we will keep in touch. Stay safe!!”

“Meghan came and watched my dog last minute and was super great updating me on how she’s doing and felt super comfortable with her. My dog loved her and I can’t recommend her enough!! Will be rebooking for sure!”

“Thank Alicia for taking care of Toby last evening. It meant a great deal for us to go into Toronto and know that our big guy was in such good hands. Your communication and follow-through was excellent.”

About: Hi! I am a very trustworthy and empathetic animal lover who has experience caring for her own dogs (previously Berners & Goldens), foster dogs, puppies, cats & kittens and my own Calico cat! I will soon be a teacher on summer break with next to no plans! Feel free to reach out and we can make something work. I have a yard that is not fenced in but your dog would be cared for safely on leash, just as we would go for walks. I am an active person but am very in tune to each individual animal’s needs!
About: My partner and I have hands-on experience raising one kitten and one puppy from 6 weeks old—covering weaning, socialization, potty training, and round-the-clock care in those early weeks. I later cared for my own cat for 1.5 years (full daily care and vet visits) before rehoming due to allergies, and now raise a happy cockapoo at home. With both of us working from home full-time (software engineer + data scientist), your pet will receive constant attention, play, and love in a safe, pet-friendly environment. My partner and I both work from home full time. And mostly free on weekends as well, so one or both of us are always available to take care of your pet. For drop ins, we prefer 6-10pm on weekdays and 12-10pm on weekends. We live in a three storied townhouse with a fenced yard and one friendly cockapoo to keep your pet company and offer frequent potty breaks. We also work from home full time so rest assured someone will almost always be at home with your pet. We prefer crating dogs when we’re are out to avoid harm to both our pets and our home.

About: I have taken care of dogs that range in many different breeds and sizes. I’ve either walked/sat my friend’s dogs or I’ve taken care of my cousins dog for an average of a week! I have finished working full time for my co-op and will in Oakville and fully available for the summer. In September I will be living in Guelph for school but I have an open available for summer! I am able to stop by to feed and let your dog out, take dogs on walking ranging in length to fit your dog’s needs (or even take them to a dog park!), I can also work with cats! I can stop by to keep them company during the day if you find your pet gets anxious without people in your home!
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 15. Whether it be my grandmas, our families or friends, I have been responsible to walk, feed and bathe them for years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule to take breaks during work hours to walk your pups or as well as in the early morning or evening. Establishing trust between myself and the dog is the most important. Firstly, I stay calm and allow for some time and space to reassure them I’m not threatening and establish familiarity. I provide regular check-ins for ease of mind and work to establish a regular routine for the animals in my care. I am passionate about animal care and find it sincerely therapeutic.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakville
This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my cat in our own home instead of taking her to a family member's. I am so grateful that Alicia was available to look after my cat, as she was incredibly kind and helpful! My cat is not aggressive by any means, but as a Calico, she's not the friendliest and Alicia was so patient with her. I really felt like I could trust Alicia and with her open communication, I really felt reassured. I highly recommend Alicia to anyone looking!
Thank you Ryan for looking after S’mores so well. We appreciate your updates and photos and look forward to them almost as much as S'mores looks forward to his food and daily brushing! Going away knowing our kitty is well taken care off is very much appreciated. Thank you!!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Oakville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oakville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
