About: **available evenings after 5pm and on weekends** I have experience training and walking small and large breed dogs, and dogs of various energy levels. I will treat and care for your dog as if it were my own :) My schedule is pretty consistent, which makes it easy for me to fit walks and drop-in visits into my routine. I love spending time with animals and enjoy getting outside for walks, so it's something I genuinely enjoy doing. I understand that every pet and owner has their own routines and preferences, whether that's crate training, feeding schedules, walk routines, or playtime. I always do my best to follow those routines so your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away!
“Setareh, thank you so much for looking after Cora and Cheri while we were away. You were so kind and thoughtful to them and even though we were away only for a couple of nights, you kept us updated throughout and it was easy to see why the girls loved you so much 💕”

“Ernest was so kind, professional and conscientious, I was incredibly impressed! My kitten adored him! I noticed a huge difference - he was so calm and relaxed when I got home from work. I will definitely be rebooking, he’s been a lifesaver. Highly recommend 🙏”

About: Got my first family dog in 2020, a rescue with some baggage who quickly warmed up to every one and every thing around him. Currently have a cute a cuddly 3 year old miniature dachshund of my own, and looking to fill my summer off with some other fur friends! I’m a teacher with the summer off, so I have plenty of free time on my hands to check-in on dogs, as well as take them for a stroll! I live in a condo with a grass patch out front, so I take my dog outside every couple hours to potty and get his sniffs in. I usually take him for 2-3 walks a day, on top of his bathroom breaks.
“Gabrielle is wonderful! She is wonderfully responsive, kind and caring. She took great care of my precious pets and sent wonderful updates throughout the time. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“Lol and Kam are amazing. They are knowledgeable about cats, was attentive to my cat, who like them immediately, consistent and on schedule with the visits. I recommend them and definitely will rebook them.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals I love, including regularly watching my dog nephew, along with friends' and family's cats and dogs. I've always treated their pets like my own, with a lot of patience, attention, and genuine affection, and I've never had anything but a great experience. I'm attentive to each animal's individual personality and needs, whether that means sticking to a specific routine, giving extra playtime, or just being a calm, comforting presence. What sets me apart is that I don't see pet care as a job, I see it as spending time with animals I genuinely love being around. Since I work a flexible, freelance schedule from home, pet care fits naturally into my day rather than being squeezed in around a 9 to 5. I can easily build walks, visits, or check-ins into my routine at consistent times, and I have the flexibility to adjust if a pet's schedule needs something a little different. Working from home also means I'm not rushing in and out, I can spend real, unhurried time with your pet during each visit. Since I offer walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, the care I provide happens both in your home and, when needed, in mine. When I'm in your home, I treat the space with the same respect and attention I'd want for my own, making sure doors and gates are secure, following any specific instructions you leave, and keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. If a pet stays with me, I don't have pets of my own, so your pet gets my full attention without having to share space or navigate another animal's personality. Either way, safety comes first: I'm attentive, present, and never distracted when I'm caring for a pet, whether that's on a walk, during a visit, or overnight.

It was really great to see these on vacation and felt connected with them from miles away!! Overall i would highly recommend booking Tatiana for taking care of your pets!!”

“I’m lucky to have found Danielle! I have a senior chihuahua who needs a little extra care and patience with her drop in visits (she is mostly blind and deaf), and now I can rest easy knowing she is safe in Danielle hands. She is very caring and communicative. I will continue to use her services :)”

“Jingyu did a super job with drop-in visits for our two cats. She has a very calm and friendly manner that immediately put both cats at their ease. Her communications are excellent - she kept us apprised of every visit with video clips, photos and a summary of the visit. We felt very relaxed knowing that Jingyu was looking after our boys. We would not hesitate to engage Jingyu again.”

“Definitely 5-stars! Chaewon kept our cat and our two guinea pigs happy, healthy and fed all week while we were travelling. Great communication, lots of cute pics…a very good experience all around. She was even kind enough to water our flowers when we asked. Thanks so much Chaewon!”

“Valeria was an excellent cat sitter for our two 4 month old kitties for our 7 day vm vacation. She came when she committed to visiting, played with the kitties, fed and watered them and cleaned their litter. She sent us pictures every day and we felt so fortunate for her excellent care!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Toronto
This was my third time accessing Akira's services, so that ought to tell you that I'm very satisfied! I trust Akira because of their experience in animal healthcare services. I was abit concerned about my furry man's previously blocked eurethra, however Akira knew what signs to look for and updated me daily. Akira even wiped my boy's backside because I was concerned! It's obvious that Akira loves animals and specifically, loves my furry man. In the end, isn't that what we want?

Georgia was absolutely wonderful with my cats! She was so lovely to meet during our initial visit, and communication with her was easy throughout. She left my place very clean, sent lots of pictures and kept me updated on everything. My cats usually hide and don’t come out for anyone, but they came out for Georgia and she was even able to pet and play with them! It was so nice knowing they were in such good hands while I was away. I would definitely recommend Georgia and would happily have her look after the cats again!

Olga took such wonderful care of our senior bunny while we were away over the long weekend, sending us photos and updates in the report cards. Our previous go-to sitter just move away from our area, we were nervous about having to find someone new, but Olga was a great communicator and we would be happy to book her again 🥰

Daniela was amazing with our 2 cats! She sent great pictures and messages and made us feel assured that our cats were well taken care of while we were away. She was even able to have a visit with our super shy cat on the last day, so we know her presence was welcomed and she made them feel comfortable. Thank you Daniela! We will definitely book with Daniela again.

Samantha and her husband Matt are WONDERFUL!!! They provided such loving care to my senior cat Max. He only asks for belly rubs from people he trusts and boy did he enjoy belly rubs. Samantha is caring, clearly a pet person, and she sent the most lovely report cards, photos and videos. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing Max was in good hands. I could not recommend her to any cat parent more highly!!!! I hope she will be able to look after Max in the future. 10/10+++

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Toronto stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Toronto choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
