“Andrew was great, he worked hard to have Furry like him, which is hard, but I think Furry liked him at the end. Hopefully he will be better next time. Would recommend Andrew to anyone, and we definitely use him again.”

About: With over 12 years of experience raising, caring for, and adoring dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes, I have developed a deep understanding of what pets need to feel safe, loved, and happy. My first pet was a Rottweiler I rescued from a puppy mill, who became my soul dog. This experience taught me the importance of patience and rehabilitation and basic pet training through PetSmart’s puppy training program. Since then, I’ve raised a Catahoula/Chocolate Lab mix and a Beagle mix rescued from the streets of South Korea. I’ve also cared for a hedgehog throughout its life, providing the same level of care and attention I give to all my pets. With me, you can trust that your pet is loved like I would my own. I work full time but I am home often to also care for my personal dog. I am home every Friday to Sunday fully and will be able to care for your dogs then! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your furry family member is a big decision. I will always treat your home with respect, follow your care instructions carefully, and make sure your pet stays in a safe, calm, and loving environment while you’re away.

About: I have 12 years of pet-care experience with dogs and cats (and other small animals like hamster and guinea pigs) of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I am patient, responsible, and comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pets that need extra attention. I always follow each pet’s routine and treat them like my own. I have a flexible schedule and can easily include walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins in my daily routine. I am available on both weekdays and weekends and will always make sure each pet receives plenty of care and attention. I always follow each pet parent’s instructions and maintain the pet’s usual routine. I keep the environment clean, safe, and comfortable, provide close supervision, and send regular updates so owners can feel at ease.
About: I've been caring for dogs for 15 years and understand that every pet has entirely unique needs. Through raising my dog, Himu, I've mastered the ins and outs of dedicated daily care, from potty training and grooming routines to managing specialized requirements like doggie diapers. I am even experienced in coordinating high-stress logistics like international pet relocation. You can trust that your furry best friend will be in highly capable, experienced, and loving hands while you are away. I have a highly flexible schedule as I am not currently working. I will be home full-time, meaning your dog will have constant companionship and supervision. Because I will be always around, we can easily accommodate frequent potty breaks, lots of playtime, and any specific feeding or medication schedules your pet needs. Whether hosting a pet in our home or visiting yours, safety and trust are at the core of everything we do. At our home, your dog gets 24/7 supervision because I am home full-time. We keep a calm, pet-friendly environment backed by security cameras for extra safety. When visiting your home, I strictly adhere to your pet's specific care instructions, secure the home during every visit, and maintain a highly alert and defensive approach during outdoor walks to ensure your pet is completely protected.
“We had a great experience with Rosa checking in on our cats while we were away for a few days! She was friendly and genuinely interested in getting to know our cats and their personalities. She followed all of our instructions, spent quality time playing with them, and made sure they were well cared for. We really appreciated the photo and video updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely recommend her and would happily have her look after our cats again!”

“Sarah took such good care of Mulan this week. It is always such a comfort knowing that she's looking after my girl. Sarah always knows when Mu is interested in interaction or just wants to be left alone - and she got a little of both this week! Hopefully Mu is friendly every day the next time you watch her! Thanks Sarah!”

About: I’ve grown up loving all animals and have been taking care of my own dogs since I was a kid! I will make sure your furry friend feels comfortable, happy, and safe by taking care of them like my own (yes, even your untrained puppies!) I’m also a pre-med student, so rest assured I take your pet’s health seriously. As a dog mom myself, I know updates are important so you’ll get a bunch of those too :) I’m currently on summer break so I’m at home all day everyday, allowing me to pay full attention to your pet and give them all necessary care, attention, and exercise needed I have two dogs for your pet to play with, a fenced yard, and daily walks to ensure exercise needs are met. I will also follow your exact schedule and all instructions strictly to provide the best care possible.
About: I’ve dog sat for many pet owners who have relied on me to walk, feed and groom their dogs and puppies. I’m hard-working, caring, dedicated, and organized. I absolutely love taking care of dogs and puppies! I have plenty of time to devote to your pups as I do Rover full time. It is so important to be that your fur ball feels well cared for! I have a spacious park area around my building as a play area for the dogs and moderate sized apartment. I can also crate the dog if needed.
About: Hi, I’m Sanjay — a lifelong dog lover and proud pet parent to Zane, my friendly and well‑trained 3‑year‑old German Shepherd. I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10, and over the years, friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with everything from walks to feeding, medication routines, and general pet care. I work a hybrid schedule (three days in the office), but I’m flexible and available for walks and drop‑in visits throughout the week and on weekends. I focus on reliable communication, punctuality, and making sure every pup feels safe, comfortable, and understood. Your dog will get: • Consistent, attentive care • Structured walks tailored to their energy level • Drop‑ins with feeding, playtime, and check‑ins • A calm, pet‑friendly home environment if needed for brief visits • A friendly resident dog (Zane!) who loves meeting new buddies I treat every dog like my own - with patience, affection, and respect for their unique personality and routine. As a dog owner myself, caring for Zane is already part of my everyday life — feeding, structured walks, playtime, and outdoor breaks — so integrating care for other pets fits naturally into my routine. I’m used to managing different energy levels and personalities, and I make sure every pup gets the same level of attention and care I give my own. Safety and trust are at the center of how I care for pets. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pup is in good hands. Whether I’m visiting your home or taking your dog out for a walk, I follow a consistent routine focused on comfort, structure, and awareness. In Your Home (Drop‑In Visits) • Routine consistency — I follow your dog’s existing schedule for feeding, walks, medication, and playtime so they feel secure and relaxed. • Home safety — I make sure doors are locked, gates are secured, and your pet stays in their designated safe areas. • Clean environment — I tidy up food bowls, wipe paws if needed, and ensure your home is left exactly as I found it. • Clear communication — You’ll receive updates, photos, and notes after every visit so you always know how your pup is doing. During Walks • Leash safety — I use secure leashing, avoid unsafe areas, and keep full control at all times. • Weather awareness — I adjust walk length and pace based on heat, cold, or rain to keep your dog comfortable. • Behavior monitoring — I pay close attention to your dog’s body language and energy level, avoiding overstimulation or stressful encounters.
“Nikki was great with our cats, even our shy one got close to her and allowed a good few belly rubs which should tell you all you need to know. Nikki was very attentive taking care of their needs and playing with them to help them spend some energy. I highly reccommend her and will use her services again.”

About: I have always loved dogs and have a 5 yr old rescue dog who I initially fostered. I volunteer with a local rescue and am very well educated on dog body language, training, reactivity and fulfillment. I have also worked with a professional dog trainer so I'm happy to maintain consistency in your training journey. On walks I like to focus on the dog being able to sniff and explore their environment. I believe that walks are for the dog so I let them dictate most of it as long as its safe. I also like to take moments to build your dog's confidence through play and urban agility. If there is any training you would like me to keep up on walks such as loose leash walking, I will gladly do so. I work from home twice a week and would be available for daycare and boarding during those days and weekends. I have a flexible schedule so there is still some availability on other week days if it suits the dog's needs Safety is my number one priority, baby gates, no indoor plants, no harsh chemicals in/around dogs space, meds/toxic foods are locked away. Crates for safety and separation, no high value chews or toys such as bones left out. Dogs will also be fed in separate spaces to prevent food related guarding. One on one time and training will be given to each dog. I put a lot of time into training and playing with my dog and any pet in my care will be given the same care
About: I don’t just care for dogs—I create moments they’ll remember. Every walk, every cuddle, every interaction is filled with love, trust, and joy. Dogs sense it—they feel safe, happy, and understood. I’m not just here to walk or sit; I’m here to be their favorite part of the day, the human they can’t wait to see again. For me, it’s not a job—it’s a bond, built with every wag, every step, and every happy bark. I am working part-time. So I have plenty of time to spoil your dog. Don't worry, just call me and we will work it out I specialize in providing attentive and personalized care for dogs right in their own environment or out in the fresh air! While I can't bring pets to my apartment/building, I focus on creating safe, engaging, and fun experiences for your dog during walks or while spending time at your home. Whether it’s strolling through your neighborhood, playing in the park, or simply keeping them company, I ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and loved. Every visit is tailored to meet your dog’s unique needs, so they always feel at ease while you’re away.
About: Available full day on weekdays and weekends! I look after one dog at a time. I have taken care of my dog since he was 8 weeks old. I have always taken special care to take care of him as a puppy. As a teenage and adult dog he is stubborn strong and pulls. I have experience in dealing with strong and reactive dogs. My friends have also trusted me with taking care of their dogs for long periods of time. This allowed me to gain experience with over 5 different types of dogs and their behaviors. I have a lot of flexibility in caring for your pet. I can drive to your house in a timely manner and give my full attention to your pet. I do not stagger my appointments so your pet care will not be rushed. Dogs naturally love me. I believe dogs can sense a person’s intentions and decide if they like them. I treat all dogs as if they are my own.
“Lovely all around with our cat Zion! Lots of communication and pictures over 17 visits, plus a little gift (totally unnecessary) that was very nice, left for Zion at the end. Would highly recommend services with Niharika!”

“Paola was fantastic, the cats loved her and she played with them when she came to visit twice a day. I forgot to book one of the morning visits and when I messaged her about it she came to feed them without hesitation. Would definitely book again!!”

“Ashley took care of my cat for a week, while I was away. She was able to give her her medications twice a day, no problems. I got back to a tidy apartment and a happy cat :) I would definitely book with Ashley again!”

Darlene was great when doing drop in visits for our cat Misty this summer. She did a pre visit to get acquainted with the house, Misty and her food, water, treats, routine and litter. Then during the week of visits - she kept us updated throughout with pictures and updates about Misty, which made us feel better that she was well taken care of (and enjoy our own vacation a little more). She was loving and caring towards Misty, who was purring and taking belly rubs soon from Darlene. We absolutely would recommend Darlene for any future dog / cat visits or boarding, and will definitely be doing that ourselves next time!

Allison was wonderful with my boys, and kept me updated with each visit. One of my cats has only been in our household for one month after being adopted, so his quirks were new to us too, and Allison even found tips and tricks that will help me in the future. I felt very confident while we were away, that my boys would be well taken care of. Thank you Allison !

We had a great experience with Rosa checking in on our cats while we were away for a few days! She was friendly and genuinely interested in getting to know our cats and their personalities. She followed all of our instructions, spent quality time playing with them, and made sure they were well cared for. We really appreciated the photo and video updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely recommend her and would happily have her look after our cats again!

I was skeptical using Rover. Interviewed a few sitters and I instantly connected with Nikki. I could see how gentle she was around Thor. I could tell she was experienced with animals and she has two cats also.Nikki also came back to my house once more so I could show her exactly where everything was before going on my trip. Well I just got back from my trip being away for a week. Nikki was responsible and on time every day. The house was clean. She spent over an hr playing with Thor in the morning and at night. I would highly recommend Nikki. if your looking for a pet sitter. Nikki is wonderful and just lovely💕 🫶 💕
Yingxue took very good care of my anxious kitty, Genghis, while I was away. She was patient with him, followed his feeding routine, and made sure he got the care he needed. Genghis didn’t end up playing much during the week, but that’s just his personality and wasn’t a concern for me. I am grateful that Yingxue stayed for the full hour each visit instead of just dropping in to do the basics. It was nice knowing Genghis had someone around for a while each day. When I got home, Genghis definitely missed me, but he was healthy, well looked after, and hadn’t been neglected while I was away. Yingxue was reliable and trustworthy throughout the whole booking, and I’d be happy to book with her again 🙂.

Valerie was able to schedule a walk for Pepsi even on short notice and did such an amazing job with him. She was very professional and caring when it came to understanding Pepsi’s needs and getting to know him. From their initial meet and greet it was clear he liked her and that he would be well taken care of.

This is my second time having Megan watch my furbabies! She is reliable, friendly and takes good care of the cats while I am away. Both cats would greet her at the door when she visited and she even got Lucifer (usually shy with new people) to open up. I would highly recommend Megan!

Rajat came through for us at the very last minute, for which we are so thankful! We have a big family with 3 beloved dogs - a senior, a teenager, and a puppy. Walking them all together is no easy feat, but we reached out to Rajat to see if he could take all 3 of them on a one hour walk while we were away for just a couple of hours. Walking the dogs for a whole hour tuckers them out (if walked right!), and when we got home to 3 sleeping and happy dogs, we were so grateful to have found Rajat. We'll definitely be re-booking with Rajat whenever we need help again. Rajat: Rambo, Rosie, and Robbie loved you! Thank you again!
I’m really happy with Madison’s service. I have one cat (Luna) who has a hard time trusting people and never comes out of the room and if she does venture out it’s only to the door way and that’s after many visits. This is Madison’s first time with the girls and the second day Maddie was there feeding, Luna came out to the room doorway and the third day she ventured out to the living room fully!! This has never happened for anyone! Not even my neighbor who would see her on a daily! Oh and of course diamond loved her, but diamond also loved everyone lol Maddie was very prompt on time and provided me with some nice pics of the girls along with listen to instructions with no issues. She will definitely be called again to come back.

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Mississauga stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mississauga choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
