About: I have owned a cat previously (he passed away 😔) and I have also been dog sitting my neighbour’s dog for almost a year now (sept 2026 onwards) I am a full time graduate student, working part time and living with my dad. Most of my classes are online and i’m home most days except when I work 4-8pm. I can take the pets outside morning and evening for a walk and bathroom breaks during the day when I’m home. My dad helps out as he works from home and is always at home with the pets when I am not, they are never left by themselves. I live in a condo, ideal for cats and small/medium dogs! About: Dogs and cats have been part of my life for 18 years, like family. I raised Labradors from the time they were tiny puppies till they grew old, so I have been through puppy training, house training, and also the slower, more gentle care that older dogs need. I have also lived with a German Shepherd, so bigger and more active dogs do not worry me either. Cats came into my life a little later, and they taught me something different. With cats you cannot force anything, you just have to be patient and let them come to you. My own cat Melody (a) Cookie Brook, is here with us in Canada rescued from Mississauga Animal Shelter, calm and used to people, so your cat will have gentle company too if that is something you would like. Since I am home through the day, your pet is not getting a rushed visit and then left alone. There is someone actually present, checking on them, sitting with them, giving them time. Back in India, I also contribute to animals through Besant memorial animal dispensary that looks after animals. I mention this only because it shows this has always come from love for animals, nothing more than that. Since I am home all day, every day, I stay relaxed and available, checking in regularly for company, bathroom breaks, and playtime whenever needed, not rushing through it at any point. With cats, I keep a steady rhythm for feeding and litter cleaning, but also give them their own space and time. This flexibility stays the same whether it is a weekday or a weekend. Your pet will be cared for in my home, which is a gated apartment on the 20th floor in a pet friendly building. The balcony is fully netted for cat protection, so there is no risk of pets going near the edge, it is completely secure. Since it is a gated building, there is also an added layer of safety before anyone can even reach the door. Inside, I make sure the space stays calm and safe, no loose wires or small objects a pet could get into, and food, water, and litter are kept in a consistent spot so pets settle in easily. My own cat is also at home, so the environment is already used to having a pet moving around comfortably. This was our first dog sitter and I would recommend Sanjot. As she let us come into her space and see were chai our pup would be staying. Also, she was consistently communicating, sent pictures and taught him paw. Chai was able to walk around her house go on the sofa and be free.
Gouri and her husband were wonderful. Warm, kind and very welcoming to Jerry. Jerry had a great time at their place and was very well taken care of. Gouri followed all the instructions I had shared and kept me updated throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Jerry came home happy and tired after a fun day! Easy 5 stars, highly recommend!!
Amy was amazing. Buckley had a great time and met her cat. The meeting went really well except he didn't understand why the cat didn't want to play. Other than doggy daycare with tons of dogs this was the first time he was left with someone who was unfamiliar and he was fine. He was his usual happy self when we came to pick him up. Lindsay and Jonathan did a great job with my dog Kobe! They were super friendly and responsive, sent me lots of pictures and took him for walks to burn off his energy! Kobe also got along super well with their cute dog Dobbie and will be looking forward to going back another time!
