About: Growing up on a farm there were always animals around. Within our household we always had dogs! My mothers golden is going strong at 13 years, still as energetics and happy as the day he came. Since 3 years, I have my own little friend, she is SASSY! But so much fun. Over the years I have walked and taken care of friends and families dogs, all with different characters. For me it is important to understand your dog, the give him/her the attention they enjoy the most. I really love dogs and want to make them as happy as they make me! My main job is in hospitality so I am super flexible, often in the mornings but evening could also be possible. I walk my own dog every day for a hour or so. It is all about the planning! I will always have an eye on your friend(s). As mention before, it is important to understand the signals dogs give us so we never get caught by surprise. I have a crate if needed or a halo collar if your dog is familiar with it. Apart from that all the usual stuff, different size leashes, toy and treats.

About: I have been dog walking for 2 and a half years now, my first year and a half spent on Rover and the last off, but I'm back! I have learnt to handle dogs of all sizes and personalities, as well as finding a love for helping ease the stress pet owners may face in regards to finding care for their pet. I was briefly enrolled in a veterinary technician program, and learnt a lot about animal behavior and became Fear Free certified! Though college was not a fit for me, I wish to continue working with animals and helping out where I can❤️ If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Currently I have complete open availability! The only time I will not be free is if I have a booking during the requested time, but I will always let you know if that is the case! Your pets happiness and safety is my upmost priority. I would love as much information from you as possible about them so that I can take care of them accordingly. If your pet is high energy, I can play with them until they're tired, and if they're more calm, I can just hang out with them and give them lots of love and attention! I always bring treats with me, so please inform me if your pet has any dietary allergies and I will try to accommodate if possible! Unfortunately I am not able to walk dogs over 70-80lbs if they are not good on a leash. I LOVE big dogs, but this is only due to me not being strong enough, and I don't want to put myself or the dogs in unsafe situations if I do not have the strength to control them. I am also not a fan of using slip leads, as I don't feel they are super safe for most dogs. I have my own clip leash that I may bring if that is the case, so please let me know if that is needed/okay❤️

My goals are to have a great time while providing love and care during the time the owners are away. I am currently in university part time and this has been a great way for me to do what I love while helping others. I do believe pets, and plants need proper care while owners are gone even if it’s for a minimal time. I do provide a carefully constructed intake form on pets and homes. This includes allergies, dietary restrictions, House appliances, plants (etc). After the owners complete the intake form, I create a checklist of my daily/hourly duties while in the home. Safety and security is my number one priority during my stay and will stay in contact with the owners if any concerns arise. My goals are to maintain a loving caring space in the home while the owners are away.
