About: I've been dog walking and spending time with pets my entire life. I started walking my neighbor's golden when I was a kid and I loved getting to spend time outside with such a wonderful companion. I love exploring nature almost as much as dogs themselves. I'm currently in school that is hybrid (most courses are online) which keeps my day to day schedule pretty flexible. I'm good for early morning walks/visits as early as 7am and can also do late nights if need be. I am a tidy person. I recognize I'm only entering your home to care for your pet I am happy to follow any house rules just let me know.
“Sophia is such a dedicated and responsible sitter—I actually want to give her a 10 out of 5! She did a pre-drop-in visit and patiently listened to all my concerns as a first-time Rover user worried about leaving my two babies home alone. My dog, Chance, is an almost 90lb Labrador who is wary of strangers, but Sophia was incredibly capable of building trust with him. She even brought toys from her own home to play with him! She also bonded with my cat, Cathy, very well. Sophia sent numerous photos and videos during her visits and even insisted on walking Chance despite the cold weather. She is truly passionate about animals and very observant. For example, she noticed Cathy had moved her cat bed and asked if she should put it back. She even picked up a delivery for us that arrived earlier than expected! It was a pleasure working with Sophia. Chance and Cathy like her a lot, and I cannot wait to have her watch them again during my next trip.”

I am fully experienced in administering medications for both dogs and cats. Always on top of cleaning their food and water bowl and providing fresh water and make sure they have full and easy access to food and water at all times. Fully experienced with bathing small dogs. Comfortable taking dogs for a walk. Also, my favourite activities are puppy yoga, cat yoga, goat yoga and visiting animal farms and sanctuaries. At the moment, I have a full time job. I am free after 6:00PM on weekdays and fully available on weekends. I love to spend my free times with animals. Caring for pets in my house or a client’s house involves various tasks such as feeding, providing fresh water, exercising, grooming, and cleaning up after them. Additionally, offering companionship and attention to ensure their well-being and happiness is essential. It is very important to follow any specific instructions provided by the pet owner regarding their routines, dietary needs, medications, and any special requirements. Regular communication with the owner about the pet’s behavior and any concerns is also important for maintaining trust and ensuring the best care possible.

“Rachel is an incredible, responsible, and truly loving sitter! She provided a wealth of updates during every visit and communicated even the smallest details she observed, which gave us such peace of mind. It was clear she spent plenty of quality time playing with Chance and Cathy, ensuring they felt happy and engaged. From the very first meeting, Rachel was diligent about taking notes on their care and built a bond with them almost instantly. I cannot recommend her highly enough and truly hope to have her back the next time we are away!”

“This was my first experience hiring someone to watch over my cat and Sharon really went above and beyond. She was extremely flexible and thorough with her visit. She sent many pictures/videos and checked in with me often. She let me know when she will be arriving and when she was leaving. I was very comfortable having Sharon around due to her experience and really felt her loving and kind nature towards my cat when she visited before my trip. I will definitely be using her again! Thank you Sharon for taking such good care of my Peakie while I was away!”

About: Ive had a genuine love for pets since childhood. Even with having multiple cats at home, I would still find cats outside and bring them home to give them food and water. My friends have also trusted me with their pets due to my experience, and Ive never really met a pet that didn't like me as well. I care for my own pets (2 Russian blue cats), in between being a musician. I embrace their healing properties (Like their purring, that is even used for acoustic therapy for bone healing in humans!), I enjoy educating myself about what they need to thrive. My 2 cats (mom and her son) keep each other company daily, they both enjoy going outside but the little one only roams in the backyard when he feels like running around and munching on grass.

“Haukiu and her partner Johnson did awesome drop-in visits for our 3 cats! Super communication and posted pictures for us on each visit. Helped us enjoy our vacation knowing our girls were being well taken care of. Would definitely recommend!!”

Indoors, pets are welcome anywhere in the main floor of my house and in my finished basement. My sister and I usually work together as a team to care for pets when I’m at home.
“Yuqi made my first Rover experience absolutely amazing. She was there everyday and did exactly everything i asked her to do and even more!!. She made my first trip away from my two cats stress free with the detailed daily updates. I will definitely be using her again and recommend her to anyone looking!!”
“I apologize for my delayed review; I was busy catching up on my work. I was really pleased that Qian accepted my request, even though it was last minute. He came to check on Ray and my house within 30 minutes of my request before agreeing to it. He understood my instructions perfectly. He was also flexible enough to accommodate my request to change the time on the first day. For the actual service, he arrived right on time and took care of Ray as instructed, sending me pictures to reassure us. On the second day, he cleaned the litter box, communicated with me, and went upstairs to check on Ray to make sure he was okay. I'm very satisfied with the service and will definitely reach out again when I need pet sitting services.”

I highly recommend Keying! She did a fantastic job looking after my cat, Chewy. She was reliable, communicative, and made a genuine effort to keep Chewy comfortable and entertained. I loved receiving the regular photo updates and status reports. I’m very happy with her work and will definitely book her again.

Rachel was above and beyond! She walked me through using Rover (it was my first time). She sent me very detailed updates. She was sensitive and skilled in establishing a relationship with our cats. Even the cat who dislikes strangers would go up to her for petting. She made sure to inform me about every little thing and acted according to my instructions.

Sophia is such a dedicated and responsible sitter—I actually want to give her a 10 out of 5! She even picked up a delivery for us that arrived earlier than expected! It was a pleasure working with Sophia. Chance and Cathy like her a lot, and I cannot wait to have her watch them again during my next trip.

Grace was absolutely amazing! I trust her so much! She even drove by my house before the first visit to make sure she knew where it was (I wasn’t able to have access to my phone for the weekend) so this made me feel at ease. She updated my son with cute videos and made sure her she had lots of play time! She also filled her food and water as well as changed the litter! I’m glad Grace was there to care for Luna, as she is a kitten and was just recently adopted. Being left alone for the weekend would have been scary for her. Will definitely repeat 🔁 with Grace and I recommend her HIGHLY! Many thank you’s

If I could leave more then five stars I would, she was amazing with Leo, always on schedule always did more then what I expected, and Leo grew very comfortable with her very fast! I highly recommend Sanaz I will most definitely be using her again in the future! Amazing service

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Richmond Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
