“What a great experience with Melissa! Very friendly, great communication and attentive. She walked my dog Lenny, and he loved her and was so happy to see her. Will definitely be letting her walk him from now on.”

“I was in a bit of a last minute bind, and Mike really helped me out with his walks. Milo adores him, and he can be prickly with some men. He's excited when he hears Mike come down the hallway, and I always get cute pictures with little stories to tell me about his adventures. I absolutely recommend Mike if you need someone to care for your pup.”

“Guangxu is a great sitter. He takes his time to walk Luffy and allows him to sniff and enjoy the weather even if he ends up going past their 30 minute walk. I like that he cleans Luffys bum and paws after their walks as his paws are sensitive to outdoor allergens. Thank you!”

About: I am a long-time pet lover and owner! I've had large and small dogs along with cats over my life. I had a large dog (Rottweiler 98lbs) with aggression issues, so I'm not put off by a little attitude from your pet. Every animal has its own personality just like humans. I am certified in Canine First Aid and have Dog Behaviour (basic), Dog to Dog Aggression, Canine Separation Anxiety, Daycare & Group Play Assessment and Dog Walking Certification course training. I lost my pet recently from cancer and am not ready to readopt yet. I promise I will love and care for your pet as my own. I promise to be very respectful and tidy while in/around your home. I feel that communication is very important while pet parents are away, so I like to give updates and photos of our adventures. I am Oakville born and raised. I went to St.Mildred's & OTHS then studied at George Brown College. I live in Old Oakville. I am an activist on animal rights and do what I can to help ALL animals. You may find me at a protest or rally fighting for the rights of all animals on the weekends. I am very close with my family so don't be surprised if you see my folks at the house hanging out. I grew up in an animal house and my folks love animals also but don't have any pets right now either. I would love a chance to meet you and your pet family! I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you :) I am a pet sitting Professional!! That's what I do!! I take care and love your pet like it was my own. I prefer to keep the dogs with me during the day if I can and they usually love the little adventures. I also have a car so we can go to a mix of parks. I live at a house with my parents with nice little yard and a park right out front. This makes it easy for quick walk and lots of good smell to keep the dog cognitive arousal fulfilled. There is an abundance of parks around me.
About: Most of my pet care experiences are from owning lizard and fishes. But 5 months ago, I started dog walking and I recently adopted a cat and I realized how much I enjoyed being around furry friends ✨️😊 Since it's my summer break from college, I would love to use this as opportunity to enjoy my summer break with furry friends while earning money. When I'm walking my dog client, I make sure he gets his exercise by playing catch, walking, playing with other dogs, exploring, and I make sure to keep him safe. I make sure my cat at home also gets his playtime with me, make sure his bowls are cleaned every time I refill his bowl for food and water 😊
“Fatime was more than happy and comfortable to walk our 3 year old lab and two of our new 4-month old puppies! She walked all three of them at the same time twice a day while we were away. She always sent photos and kept us updated on how the walks went. I felt so comfortable leaving our pups with her. Would 1000% rebook her and plan to do so!”

“Macy was wonderful with my pet. I was getting constant updates before and after the walk. My oet was very comfortable with her. This is the first time I had a stress free vacation. Would definitely recommend Macy to anyone and would go for a repeat incase I need in future.”

Michael is amazing!! I was so anxious and hesitant giving my puppy (Ripley) to someone I didn’t know, to walk him—especially since I was alone in the home. We have used Michael many times and he is ALWAYS on time and very reliable. He also really puts in the time and effort with pictures from the walk, how Ripley did on the walk…as well as what he did (ie. poops and pees). Michael seems to genuinely love walking dogs. He has been a god send since I am injured and unable to walk Ripley myself. Michael is a gentle, calming force who knows how to handle Ripley; including his zoomies and puppy energy!! Ripley loves to meet other dogs and Michael always makes sure their meet and greet goes smoothly!! We will be using Michael again and again :)

Guangxu is a great sitter. He takes his time to walk Luffy and allows him to sniff and enjoy the weather even if he ends up going past their 30 minute walk. I like that he cleans Luffys bum and paws after their walks as his paws are sensitive to outdoor allergens. Thank you!

Gokce was amazing. She was very communicative, keeping us informed of any issues that arose with our dogs while we were away. The dogs quickly took to Gokce which gave us the required calm to go away and leave our beloved pets in the hands of a highly competent provider. We would love to use Gokce again!
I’m so grateful for the care and attention my dog received. Julia did a fantastic job—reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. I could tell my dog was happy and well looked after, which gave me real peace of mind. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated dog walker.

Alicia has a lovely personality and that works well with my dog. She is punctual and true to her word - never cancels at the last minute etc. Additionally, she does her very best to accommodate my schedule, even though hers is so booked up. Sage is a fan and so are we!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oakville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
