About: I've owned and loved dogs since I was 10 and been the go-to person called upon for relatives, family and friends to walk, feed, dog-sit or simply play with any and all furry four-legged friends. They've provided me so much love and joy and I try to give that back to a human's best friend at every opportunity I can! I'm currently working from home and have a very flexible schedule to take your dog out for walks and make sure they're well looked after while you may be out during the days! After a meeting with you and your dog I can create a level of trust with the very good boy or girl and get a feel for what your needs and expectations are.
About: Growing up in Turkey, I've been around stray cats and dogs all my life. It was always a joyful part of my daily routine to bring food and water out for them and getting to know all their little mannerisms. I've never had a pet of my own because I've always lived in small or shared apartments but I've been taking care of my friends' pets for almost a decade. I would love for your pet to be next! I've recently graduated, moved to Oakville and am working freelance so I get to manage my own schedule. I think dog walking and/or pet sitting will be a good opportunity for me to get to know the community and become more familiar with this town. I am very adaptable and detail oriented. I will make sure your pet is always safe and happy under my care. If you have any special requests for your pet's experience, trust that they will be taken care of.
“Yanqi is an amazing cat sitter! My cat absolutely loves her, and she is very patient and caring. She spends time playing and keeping my cat company, making sure they feel comfortable and happy. I truly appreciate her dedication and kindness.”

“Ruiyan is always on time, responsive and caring with our pets. Bonus, she takes amazing photos, too! We have great peace of mind knowing she is looking after them, helps us enjoy our vacations more.”

Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, play with, groom, administer basic medications, clean litter boxes, take them for walk and provide companionship while they’re away. I treat every pet like a member of my own family, giving them patience, affection, and the individual attention they deserve. My goal is to make both pets and their owners feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free. I work from home during weekdays, and I am available for pet care in throughout the day, on weekends, and during holidays. I plan my schedule carefully so I can give every pet the time and attention they deserve. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and provide regular updates with photos, so you can feel confident your pet is in caring hands I have fenced home and a cat to give your family member company ! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and routines to help pets feel at home. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment, and I take time to build trust at each pet’s own pace. “Angelika has been wonderful with Zoey. This was our first time working with her, and she made the whole experience feel easy and reassuring from the start. Zoey came home happy, which means everything to us. We’re so grateful for the care and attention Angelika gave her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone kind and reliable to care for their dog.”

“Nikki was great with our cats, even our shy one got close to her and allowed a good few belly rubs which should tell you all you need to know. Nikki was very attentive taking care of their needs and playing with them to help them spend some energy. I highly reccommend her and will use her services again.”

About: I’ve always had a passion for animals, and one of the happiest days of my life was bringing home my toy poodle, Gucci! Caring for Gucci has taught me that pets are more than companions— they’re family. Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to care for other dogs of different sizes and personalities, including a Shiba Inu/Husky mix and Yorkshire Terrier. These experiences have helped me become comfortable adapting to different energy levels, routines, and temperaments. Whether your pet loves long walks, interactive play, or simply relaxing with a caring companion, I’m happy to provide the attention and care they deserve. I also enjoy spending time with cats and understand the importance of respecting their individual personalities and routines. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in reliable hands. I am currently working full-time during the weekdays; however, I am available to pet sit any day/time on the weekends! I will also have much more availability in August (16th-30th) to pet sit on the weekdays and weekends. Creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for every pet is my top priority. I understand that pets feel most at ease when they can follow their usual routines, so I take the time to learn each pet’s unique needs, personality, and preferences. When caring for pets in their own home, I will treat your space with respect while making sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and care according to their normal schedule. I’ll follow your instructions closely and provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your furry family member is happy and well cared for.
About: I’m a reliable and experienced dog walker with two dogs of my own and years of hands on experience with all types of dogs. I’m comfortable with both large and small breeds, including dogs that need a bit more structure, patience, or handling due to behavioural quirks. I regularly walk dogs independently and prioritize safety, control, and consistency on every walk. I read dogs well, adjust to their energy level, and make sure they get a proper walk. not just a quick loop. Whether your dog is high energy, reactive, or just needs calm, steady exercise, I handle it with confidence and care. Your dog will be treated like my own, and you can expect reliability, clear communication, and someone who actually knows how to handle dogs, not just loves them. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have full flexibility and am available throughout the day for walks and care, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I already structure my day around caring for my own dogs, so adding client pets is a natural part of my schedule. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, and any specific instructions from the owner. I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and calm while giving them attention and exercise. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure everything is left as I found it, with the pet’s needs always being the priority.
About: My partner and I have hands-on experience raising one kitten and one puppy from 6 weeks old—covering weaning, socialization, potty training, and round-the-clock care in those early weeks. I later cared for my own cat for 1.5 years (full daily care and vet visits) before rehoming due to allergies, and now raise a happy cockapoo at home. With both of us working from home full-time (software engineer + data scientist), your pet will receive constant attention, play, and love in a safe, pet-friendly environment. My partner and I both work from home full time. And mostly free on weekends as well, so one or both of us are always available to take care of your pet. For drop ins, we prefer 6-10pm on weekdays and 12-10pm on weekends. We live in a three storied townhouse with a fenced yard and one friendly cockapoo to keep your pet company and offer frequent potty breaks. We also work from home full time so rest assured someone will almost always be at home with your pet. We prefer crating dogs when we’re are out to avoid harm to both our pets and our home.
About: Hi there 🐾 I’m Meghna, a local dog lover and pet sitter who genuinely enjoys hanging out with dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfy, and cared for while you’re away. A calm, home-style environment is provided with walks, attention, and care tailored to each dog’s routine. Usual schedules are followed so dogs can settle in easily and feel comfortable throughout the day. Each dog is looked after with patience and genuine care, based on their personality and what they need — whether that’s space, playtime, or extra cuddles. Can’t wait to meet them 🐶✨ Here for walks, stays, and everything in between. As a responsible pet caregiver, I prioritize their well-being in my daily routine. This includes regular feeding schedules, consistent exercise through walks or play, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Additionally, I allocate time for training and mental stimulation to keep them engaged. Adapting my routine to their specific needs fosters a strong bond and ensures their happiness and health. I live in a townhome with my husband, and we both work from home, so your pet will have plenty of supervision and attention throughout the day. We also have a very friendly dog who’s well-socialized and used to being around other pets. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I’ll make sure your furry baby feels right at home. (My dog says hi! 🐾)
About: I have grown up with dogs and now have a 7 year old Golden Retriever. I used to work at Rens Pet Depot for 5 years and have some knowledge about different breeds. I love all breeds (especially the big babies). My retriever is raw fed so I am completely comfortable feeding your dog raw food, fresh food, or kibble! I am currently babysitting for 2 families a couple hours at a time, so taking care of dogs, walking or popping in would be perfect for in between and to get some more hours for me! Having worked in a pet supply store I have a few tricks that I have learned and can help do slight training and can work with whichever way works best for you! Especially with potty training if needed. My Golden Retriever uses a gentle leader to help their pulling, so I am completely comfortable using those! Only thing I have not used is a prong collar. I’m willing to learn new ways and am flexible to do what works for you are your dogs! I also do give a lot of attention, pets and cuddles to my guys so there is a big chance your dogs will get extra loving too!
“Thank you Brittany for taking care of Miles for the week I was away :) . He was in very good spirits as soon as I arrived home and that's certainly the most important thing, and was not my experience with a previous trip where a neighbour watched my previous cat (I came home and she was hiding scared in the sink, so coming home to a happy boy was really very heartwarming) Brittany was always very quick to respond if I had questions and always made sure spend the time with Miles, even though he largely ignored her because he is very shy and knows very few people. That's about what I expected and she provided a good balance of trying to give him attention while also leaving him alone when he didn't want it. I will definitely consider Brittany in the future if I need someone to watch Miles or any potential future pets.”

I will make sure to provide them everyday clean filtered water to drink, dry and canned food to eat, dust-free litter to use, and toys and cat trees to play with, and of course my love :) We always have somebody at home so very flexible to do home stays for cats. We have 2 cats and one child currently go to school which proves we are responsible and reliable people. I live in a nice clean and big house with fenced yard and finished basement located in Oakville. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oakville
We had Anna look after our pets for a few days as we had to be away. She arrived at the agreed upon times and was very conscientious keeping water bowls filled, litter cleaned and food containers well rinsed to keep odours down. She was very responsive when I contacted her and was happy to do a couple of small things like bring in packages off the step. This was our first experience with Anna and we'd be happy to have her take care of our pets again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
