“Susan took great care of our cats and was attentive to their special needs. We got regular updates, which was greatly appreciated. We will be happy to have Susan back next time we need someone to look after our kitties. Thanks Susan!”

About: I've provided care for dogs of all ages (newborn to palliative senior), training and energy levels, and breeds (Chihuahuas to Great Danes & Mastiffs) through fostering, boarding and day care/walks. While typically busy on weekdays, I have plenty of free time on the weekends to care for your pet(s). I can usually be available with little notice. I would follow your safety rules and use your preferred tools (leash, harness, etc.) when babysitting/walking. I also have 2 friendly dogs and a fenced yard.
About: I've raised or cared for a variety of breeds for over 25+ years, from puppies to rescues to elderly dogs. Husky-X, Malamutes, Hound-X, American Eskimo and Cairn Terrier-X's have been the core breeds I've handled. I don't currently have a pet living with me, but I love the company of all sorts of scruffy and snuggly fur-friends. I'm an active person (distance runner) and am accustomed to keeping busy bodies and minds occupied. I went through all 4 Levels of training with my female Alaskan Malamute with McCann's Dog Training. While my Mal has since passed, the training gave me a good grounding in guiding and understanding dog behaviours. I'm not afraid of shedding, slobber or reactivity. Please no flexi leashes for your dog's safety and mine. My clients get homemade cookies (if their diet allows) and are welcome on the furniture or on my bed. You set the rules about diet, exercise and any other boundaries. I work from home. I'm an actor and a part-time coach. I have flexibility on weekdays and weekends. Lots of time to attend to my fur-clients need for love, butt-scratches, exercise and playtime. I supervise both indoor and outdoor play. The level of activity is matched to your dog's needs and appropriate to the heat or cold outside.
About: I have experience caring for dogs and giving medication when needed. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. There are two people in my household, so there is almost always someone at home to supervise and take care of the dogs. Even if we go out, it is never for very long, so your pet will not be left alone for extended periods. I can take dogs on daily walks and also bring them to nearby parks so they can get exercise and enjoy the outdoors. I make sure every dog gets plenty of attention, playtime, and regular potty breaks. I only accept a limited number of pets at a time to ensure each dog receives enough care and attention. I will treat every dog like my own and do my best to make them feel happy and comfortable while staying with me. I am a student at McMaster University and spend most of my time at home. I do not need to go to campus very often, and even when I do, I am usually not away for long periods of time. I personally provide all care for pets in my home, including feeding, walking, supervision, and attention. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods, and I will make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I truly love dogs and have experience caring for pets. I am patient, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s needs. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all pets in my home. I always supervise dogs closely and make sure they are never left alone for long periods of time. I follow each dog’s routine and any instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and special care requirements. I also make sure the environment is secure and free of hazards. If any issues arise, I will communicate with the owner right away and handle the situation responsibly. My priority is always to ensure that every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: Hi there, my name is Dokyung but I go by Chloe. I understand that finding a sitter online could be a daunting task. So I strive to be as communicative and transparent as possible about and during my service. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns! To briefly describe my experience, I grew up with dogs of all sizes, from chihuahuas (they were a little crazy but I loved them dearly) to golden retrievers, since my parents often fostered dogs. Years of living with dogs of various sizes and personalities taught me to read body language closely, and I will bring that same attentiveness to every walk and play session with your pet. I’m also happy to help out with training during your pet’s stay, as I have experience clicker-training family dogs and also my own cat :) I work from home with flexible hours, so it's easy to fit pet care into my day alongside my own cat’s care routine. Please let me know if your pet has any specific needs. I’ll make that part of our routine! Cats boarding in my home get their own dedicated space until they're ready to explore and meet Nuri (my cat) on their own terms. Dogs will have the run of the place if they get along right away with Nuri, or mainly have the living room space if slow introduction is needed, with 3-4 regular walks throughout the day. All pets are welcome on any furniture. During drop-in visits, I'm happy to give them my full, undivided attention for the entire visit (if they want it, that is). I often bring my own treats and toys to play with them, if you would allow it.
“Jocelyn is a wonderful person and took great care of our pets. She has a natural affinity towards animals. She paid attention to details and treated my pets with kindness and care. I am very happy with her. She communicated regularly with me during the visits with pictures and details. I possibly can't ask for more. We will definitely have her back in the future. Thank you”

“Amber recently came to check in on our cat while we were away. She provided daily communication and pictures which we so appreciated. We’ll definitely book with Amber again in the future!”

About: Being raised around pets my whole life and having many of my own pets in my adult life, I feel confident that I can give your pets all the same love and attention that I would give to my pets! My pets have always been my family and I will treat your pets the same. I currently teach fitness most mornings and then free in the afternoons so I’m looking to expand and add dog walking into services I can offer I can tailor walks and drop ins to what you’re looking for! I have a lot of patience and know it can take a little longer with some dogs to build that trust and confidence.
“Jessica looked in on our cat while we were on holidays and she did an amazing job! Provided lots of photos, videos, and thorough summaries which we really appreciated. Would love to have her look after Mac again in the future, I know he will miss you💗”

“Cassie does an amazing job looking after my two senior dogs. They have extra needs because of their age and Cassie goes above and beyond for them while keeping me updated through messages and photos. Would 100% recommend Cassie to look after your pets.”

“This was my first experience using Rover and Danielle made it the best possible ! She is an incredibly sweet and kind animal lover who made sure Emmie & Greycy had lots of attention during her visits. I really loved that she sent me a short message and picture while I was away to let me know everything was ok. She is 100% reliable and dependable. I won't hesitate to ask her to look after my girls again and know that I can go away without stressing about their care.”

We can't say enough good things about Emma! She’s been walking our two dogs, Charlie and Pippen, twice a week and handles them beautifully. Emma is consistently great to work with. She is experienced and very skilled at walking two dogs together on separate leashes. Charlie and Pippen always return happy and well-exercised. We have complete peace of mind when Emma is caring for our girls, and we will definitely be using her for all our future pet sitting and dog walking needs.

Outstanding service. The communication was excellent throughout the entire booking, and I always felt informed and at ease. My puppy is usually very skittish and anxious with new people, they approached her with patience, confidence, and a gentle demeanor that made all the difference. I’m extremely grateful and would absolutely book again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
