About: I've had all sorts of pets since I was 7 years old, from fish to cats, to dogs and guinea pigs. Pet care is my number one priority and always will be. I believe that a happy pet is a reflection of the household, and that your pet deserves as much love as my own. I hope you find what you need here! We will get out for a morning walk before it gets too hot and then have the yard for plenty of exercise. I have a fenced in yard all the way around my home so they will get great exercise with our dog. Any friends we’ve had stay with us, have loved being able to do zoomies around the house.

About: I've taken care of dogs for the past few years while pet parents are away. I am able to feed, walk and medicate dogs as needed, since I work in the veterinary world. I work full time at a local veterinary clinic 4 days a week, so that leaves 3 full days to cherish and love pets while pet parents are away on vacation. I have lived with cats all my life and have always loved visiting my friends and grandparents dogs whenever I was over there. I have also done some private dog and cat sitting with referrals from friends and family.

About: First of all - I empathize with your tough decision; leaving your fur baby in the hands of another is always a stressful experience. I want to make sure this is a pawsitive experience for you - to answer any questions, send regular updates and photos of your fur baby being spoiled, feeling safe and comfortable in your absence - which would be stressful for them as well. I will not derail your training or nutrition routines as I know it takes a lot of work and dedication to raise a healthy, happy pet. I work full time M to F, 8 to 3. If by chance your fur baby needed to spend any weekdays with me, I’m happy to crate or provide a space free of dangers - garbages up, stairs downstairs gated off and peaceful music in the background. I can also ask my folks (retired) to stop by for a pet and a pee. Mainly - I am looking to sit during weekends (when I am fully off) and holidays (I get all school holidays off) - where it will be me and your fur baby from morning till night! Also - if your pet is more comfortable at his/her own home, I don’t mind having the discussion of me staying over with you. I think it would be really beautiful to get to know your pet like an auntie so that you all can rely on a familiar face as you travel and your pets grow older! I live on an acre of land, with a creek in my backyard. I do not live on a busy street, however, I do not have a fenced in property. I would never let your dog or cat outside to roam without myself at the end of their leash. I will gladly exercise your fur baby with toys, lick pads and long-tether leash walks, in the backyard, on the trails (depending on heartworm/tick medications up to date), but I would never let them out of my sight (I wouldn’t even be able to do that with my own fur baby as I don’t want them to get into anything and frankly I don’t trust people out there!!)

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life (grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters and a bunny) and learned early on how to care for their unique personalities and needs. Today, I have 4 cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable with feeding routines, playtime, litter care, and giving plenty of love and attention. I adore cats very much! I grew up caring for a small havanese dog and now I help my parents with their large standard poodle. I’m best suited to caring for well-socialized dogs with stable temperaments. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I treat every animal like they were apart of my own family! My goal is to ensure they stay happy and healthy while you're away. I am self employed so I have a ton of flexibility in my schedule. It’s easy for me to prioritize caring for your pet while working! I’m doing this because I am truly passionate about animals. I understand the home is a sanctuary for both you and your pets. I prioritize safety, cleanliness and giving your pet the attention it deserves while I’m visiting. I know that every house has different rules their pets abide by and I will uphold those. I love to play and get them active as much as I can but I also adore snuggling up on the couch!

About: I grew up with a beautiful, high-energy golden retriever, taking him for walks and car rides, brushing him, and giving him tons of pets. As someone who loves animals but isn’t in the position to have a pet of my own, I take any opportunity I can to hangout and take care of them. I had the opportunity recently to dog walk a senior dog and pet sit a couple big dogs for a few family friends and loved every minute of it. I took them for walks and potty breaks, fed them, played with them, and made sure to keep them on their normal routine while their owners were away. I am a quick learner who is able to follow instruction very well and ask questions when needed, so if your pet needs any extra care (for example, administering oral medication), I am more than comfortable taking on new tasks. I am currently in between employment and am looking for ways to make some money while I gear up for a master’s program in Scotland this fall. My availability is very flexible (e.g. mornings, afternoons, evenings, week days, and weekends) as my only other commitment is helping my brother with special needs on occasion. I will have plenty of time to give extra care and attention to your pets. I am very respectful, making sure to treat your home and pets as my own and ensuring their safety. For walks, I’ll make sure to use your preferred collar or harness, take the same walking route if that is what your pet prefers, always picking up their poop and putting it in the proper garbage, and making sure the doors/gates are locked before leaving. If your dog doesn’t enjoy interactions with other pets or people, I will make sure to avoid those situations, or if they do, give them plenty of time to socialize. In the home, I will make sure any hazards are put away, food is secured, things are put back where they belong, and make sure off-limit places stay off-limits. I will follow all instructions and send questions your way if I am unsure about anything. Plus, I’ll send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and well when you’re away.

About: I’ve had animals of different kinds all my life. Experience taking care of puppies and senior dogs. Love taking dogs on walks and willing to customize pet care to your dogs needs. I work full time but my work is flexible and allows me to work from home some days. Most weekends are free for me to provide in house sitting, bathroom breaks or walks. I am cautious with dogs on the leash and keep them away from busy streets and make sure they are safe while playing. Depending on the dog, I will also keep them away from other dogs if necessary.

About: I have owned & operated Joy’s Rescue since November 2015 rescuing over 80+ animals from dogs, cats & pocket pets. I have worked with all age ranges & worked with a lot of special needs animals. In past even finding accurate prognosis & saving lives. I am personally available whenever is needed. Any prior obligations can be worked around. Your pets come first always, whatever schedule your pet has is now mine own. I always request to go to clients house, based on operating a rescue from my home & this provides less change and less stress on all pets not having to loose their owner and be relocated all in the same day. About: I volunteer at the animal shelter. I’ve been training dogs for almost 3 years now. I have worked with some really challenging dogs but also wonderful dogs as well! About: I was a certified canine coach at Dogtopia in Burlington for over 2 years and now working with the humane society as an animal care technician in st Catherine’s. I also volunteer with Bark at the moon dog rescue as a bark counsellor. With the rescue, I support the fosters with their new foster dogs and recommend training based off behaviours. love all animals-big and small and hope you chose me to look after your fur baby! I have recently moved to the area and am looking forward to making new fur friends lol!
