“Shelby has been an absolute joy to deal with, and a lifesaver at times! She has been super flexible with scheduling and my Great Dane has really taken a liking to her. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi there! My name is Shawna, I’m 30 years old, I work in Human Resources, and I LOVE animals! I truly believe that animals are the key to a happy life! I remember from a very young age being extremely interested in all things nature - rabbits, toads, birds, and of course cats and dogs! Each animal is so unique and incredible. Growing up, I was very fortunate to have the companionship of dogs and cats and the guidance of my mother to teach me how to love and care for each one with kindness and gentleness. I have pet sit for many family members and friends over the years and am currently a proud parent to our 6 year old rescue cat, Chico. Currently, we live in a house that doesn’t accommodate the room a dog needs to be happy and comfortable. I am however lucky to live in a neighbourhood with many friendly dogs always looking for a pet and care for my in-laws’ 12 year old yellow lab, Bella, on a regular basis! I understand that walking and play time is crucial in maintaining a healthy lifestyle for your furry friend. I guarantee that your dog will be well loved and protected while in my care. Our pets are our family, and this is a responsibility I will take incredibly seriously. I look forward to meeting with you and your dog! I’m currently working full-time but would be happy to assist on weekends and occasionally on weekdays if available. I make sure to focus solely on the animals when they are in my care! I make sure to ask you all the questions necessary for me to understand how to properly care for your furry family members! Understanding their routines is also important to ensure the best care!
About: I’ve always had a strong connection with animals and truly enjoy caring for them. I have experience with pets of different ages and temperaments, including daily walks, feeding routines, litter care, and providing reliable companionship. From horses to chickens, cats and a pig, and most recently being a volunteer dog walker for the local shelter. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I take the time to learn their routines and give them the patience, attention, and kindness they deserve. Your pet’s wellbeing is always I am available early morning, afternoons and evenings most days, and will always try to help on short notice. Hope to hear from you soon. Trustworthy, reliable and caring for your pets like they are my own. With regular updates and photos for your peace of mind while in my care.
About: Hi guys, Thanks for checking out my profile! I love furry animals and am excited to meet yours! I recently moved back from Costa Rica where my family and I have rescued many dogs and cats from horrible places and gave them a home that they could enjoy and feel loved. I think they are beautiful creatures that we have been blessed with and it would be my pleasure to meet yours. I aim to make your pet feel at home with me by cuddling, playing and walking. Feel free to message or call and ask any questions. Currently i have as a school bus driver and some time in between. Can't wait to hear from you and hopefully take care of your furry baby! My schedule is quite open due to my job. I'd love to fill in my extra time with some dogs and cats! Plus my kid loves them! When pet sitting, I treat each pet like my own—ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow all care instructions closely, from feeding to playtime, and keep the home clean and secure. Regular updates help build trust and give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

About: I'll take your dog on a walk and I WILL take pretty pictures of your dog 😇 I've cared for not only my animals (who have lived to the ripe ages of 20+; I'm not shy with senior pets!) but have watched many friends' dogs and cats when they are out of town. DOCUMENTING Not only will I take care of your sweet dog but make sure to document it so you're there with us, every step of the way. I'm a professional photographer by trade, so some pretty pictures will most definitely be sent to you. THE SENIOR The life long care I have provided to my own pets into their senior years are some of my most treasured memories! Taking the extra time to go at a nice slow pace is no problem for me! Leave out their coziest sweater and I'll make sure those frail old bones are nice and toasty - no shivering on my watch! YOU'RE AWAY I will ensure your pet feels loved and cherished while you're away; as if it's you with them the whole time! I work from home, set my own hours and have a flexible schedule that can work around a walk or pee break! There is even time for a good ol' game of fetch! When I'm taking care of pets at my client's place, I stick to their routines and instructions as best as I can. I make sure their space is clean and safe, and I hang out with them to make sure they're happy and feel loved, even when their owners are away.

“I was in a bind and reached out to Kristen. She was very quick to respond and super friendly. As a first time puppy owner, Kristen understood my anxiety and was extremely calming. She checked in on my puppy and provided me with updates during the check in. I felt a peace knowing that she was able to pop in and look in on my furbaby. I highly recommend Kristen and will definitely be using her services again!”

I will follow any directions you leave for me to keep your pet as safe as possible in my care. Doggy day care will get the same treatment, including a large fenced-in yard to run around and play! Other pets will NOT be in my home during visits, so your pet will receive all the attention! Trails close by to go for long walks! Lots of blankets and toys to keep them comfortable!
About: I have cared for a range of different animals from reptiles - dogs/cats, some of which were my personal/family pets and for families as well. I absolutely love all animals. I’d love to show some extra love to your pets, get some exercise myself while walking them and have fun playing with them. I’m not sure who would be having more fun haha. I have pet sit for families before which includes all those activities, even following their diets, some of which included a raw food diet. I deal with cleanup effectively, never leaving it behind and cleaning up any “accidents” that may happen indoors to its entirety. I have my own pup, Darth, who is my entire life lol! We have a family dog back home. In all seriousness, I want to love and hangout with your pets!! I currently work from home full time 9-5 but can make visits before and after work and even throughout the day just depending on location from me! I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog who loves to play with fur-ends! I can keep your dog crated if preferred, or can keep my dog separate from yours if preferred!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
