About: Hi, I'm Kirsten, but you can call me Kirty as all my friends do! I've been looking after animals for other people in my life for as long as I can remember. This is where my passion lies and I want to spend as much time with animals as I can. I have years of experience with cats and dogs of all ages and breeds. Next up on my list of things to learn is animal CPR! I will update once I'm certified. I work a part-time job with fairly flexible hours, and have had to balance both working and pet care many times over the last 5 years. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for the past five years through dog sitting for family and friends, as well as regularly walking and caring for my own dogs. About: I have my own dog that I have taken care of for 12 years now where I have raised, trained, and taught him from 2 months old till now. A special skill that I have taught my own dog is sign language. He knows 25 signs and continues to learn more. In terms of my sitting style, I am well versed in understand dog psychology and behaviour and can pick up responses and adapt to them efficiently. About: My experience with pets is from back home in Brazil. I have at home a cat, 3 dogs, a turtle, and a bird (Yeah, a lot I know haha). Of all the pets that I have, I have a special connection with my dogs. They are like my shadow and always wants to stay next to me. I can’t even imagine how they are missing me since I moved to Canada, and I also miss them like crazy. Being a sitter will complete this part that I most miss from home. About: I have two pet dogs back home. Always had kittens in the house growing up. We recently adopted a 2 month old frenchie who is still being trained. She likes everyone and everything so she can be with other dogs and pets, no problem. I can do drop ins, house sitting and take your pets for walks. About: I volunteer at the animal shelter. I’ve been training dogs for almost 3 years now. I have worked with some really challenging dogs but also wonderful dogs as well!
