“Really thankful I came across Teena and Wayne’s profile when searching for someone to watch my dog while I was away in Portugal on vacation. Teena and Wayne were instantly responsive and arranged for a meet and greet with my dog Karma prior to us deciding whether or not she would benefit and be a good fit for staying 12 days with them while I was away. The meet and greet went well, and I felt confident that Karma would be well taken care of while I was traveling. She was instantly comfortable with both of them and they also asked important questions about Karma and how best to care for her! That showed me that they really do care about their quality of service, and that I could trust them to watch her. They were great at setting me updates throughout the time that I was away and that allowed me to feel more confident and comfortable that Karma was in good hands. I highly recommend Teena and Wayne for pet boarding services and will definitely be a repeat. Customer should the opportunity arise that I need care for Karma in the future. Thank you so much to both of you 🙏🏻”

“Monica and her children were great with Nova. Nova got lots of attention and I got great updates and pictures regularly on how Nova was doing :) I will definitely rebook with her in the future”

“Heather and Matt were absolutely incredible with Charlie during our 10 days away. We had met with another sitter before them and it just didn’t feel right, but from our very first meet and greet with Heather and Matt, we immediately knew they were the perfect fit. We felt confident leaving Charlie in their care. They treated him like part of their family and truly loved him. Their communication was exceptional—we received regular updates and lots of photos, which gave us such peace of mind. This was especially important to us as Charlie had recently had surgery to remove a lump on his back and still had stitches. They followed all instructions perfectly and were so attentive and caring. Charlie is also very spoiled and loves being cozy with his blankets, and they went above and beyond by setting up his bed near the fireplace to keep him warm! We felt completely at ease the entire time and were so impressed that we’ve already booked another stay. We cannot recommend Heather and Matt highly enough.”

“You can always tell how it went on your dog's behaviour when he returns home. Oscar's behaviour was one of contentment. Ibifuro is wonderful, daily walks, pictures and messages. We will return :)”

“Charlene is a kind, calm and pleasant person. She took amazing care of Lenny for an overnight at her place. Charlene was very easy to communicate with and she sent sweet photos and videos of Lenny’s stay. I would HIGHLY recommend Charlene if you are looking for a loving place (with a fenced yard) for your dog to stay. Thanks so much!”

“Lise is so warm and welcoming! We were very comfortable leaving our dog at her house. Big backyard to play in the snow and dog friendly house rules. Great Vacation for our beloved pup! We will be coming back.”

“Zaira communicates quickly and thoroughly. Machete didn't want to eat his kibble so Zaira provided him her wet food after asking me, which he happily ate. Machete had a great time meeting new friends, and we really appreciate Zaira's flexibility with drop off / pick up time for boarding. She had only a few dogs (her own and possibly 1 other with machete) so he was able to acclimate more quickly. We will definitely use Zaira again when we're in the niagara area.”

“Thank you Emma for providing such great care for our boy Behr! We loved receiving updates and photos, and I know he loved the cuddles and walks! We will definitely be using your services again and will reccomend to others!!”

“This was the 4th time that Teddy stayed with Kaitlyn and Shawn and as always, they took such good care of him. I'm really appreciative of how wonderful they are with him! Thank you so much :)”

“Richard was very accommodating. Last minute booking and my dog who is a lil bit reactive and anxious became super comfortable with him after a few hours and played with his other dogs. She enjoyed her stay and big thanks to Richard for accepting our dog. Will definitely rebook with him again.”

“Our dog Darcy continues to receive excellent care and attention while boarding with Maddie, her dogs and her incredibly helpful husband, Steve. Darcy is always eager to run up to the house when I'm dropping him off so he obviously enjoys his stays. It almost makes me wonder if he wants to move in!”

“Kelly was great with Ash. sShe was very accommodating for our last minute request and we are grateful for that. We wanted Ash close to us while in Niagara and Kelly allowed that. We will definitely go back. :) Thank you, Kelly”

“Jamie is absolutely amazing and I feel lucky to have found her. My pup Oakley is shy and reserved when it comes to new people, but she took to Jamie right away. Her home was welcoming and a great place for Oakley to stay- a big beautiful backyard to run around, and she loved following Jamie around and hanging in the house. Jamie sent me lots of pictures and I could tell Oakley was loving her time with her. I will definitely use her again in the future!!”

“Jasmine was so lovely. From our meet and greet right through my dog’s visit, she was so easy to work with. Communication was excellent as she kept me informed while my dog was with her. It was very evident Meadow was very comfortable in Jasmine’s home. Will book again.”

About: My friends always said that I must have been a dog in my past life. I have always grown up with dogs and if I’m not working or at home taking care of my own, I’m at my friends hanging out with theirs dogs rather than them. I’ll treat your furry family members as if they were my own even if that means saying goodbye at the end of the night. To keep things simple I am here to give out the love these fur babies deserve when mom and dad need to work, go out for a nice dinner or just get out of the house! I am very much so looking forward to meeting your pets and being a part of their life! If you’d like to know more about me check out my insta: happytailswithkiara you can follow along and meet my furry new friends. As a devoted pet owner myself I truly understand the importance of a reliable routine and the peace of mind that comes with quality care. My workday runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, so I am always up early to ensure pets are walked, fed, and given plenty of love before I head out. I offer full availability every evening and enjoy a flexible schedule with every other Friday weekend and Monday off allowing me to dedicate entire days to your animals' needs. Whether it's early morning exercise or extended companionship on my days off, I treat every pet with the same attention and heart that I give my own. Whether I’m hosting pets in my home or visiting yours my goal is to provide a seamless, stress-free experience tailored to your animal's comfort. In my home, I offer a secure fenced in backyard perfect for playtime and potty breaks. I have two friendly dogs and cats who genuinely adore other animals; while I like to be transparent that the initial meet-and greet can be a little overwhelming for my pack as they get excited to make a new friend they settle in quickly and have successfully welcomed many guest pups before. I am equally comfortable and completely flexible with house-sitting in your home or hosting in mine, ensuring your pet stays happy, healthy and loved in whatever environment suits them best.
“Trisha was fantastic. It was Charlie’s first experience going to a sitter and I was a little nervous. Tricia’s house is warm and friendly. She greeted us at the door and engaged with Charlie immediately. He even felt comfortable enough to run through the house to get a toy! What I really appreciated was how Trisha asked about Charlie’s likes/dislikes and routine. She works really hard to ensure everything is as consistent and comfortable as possible. When I picked him up the next day he was happy and energetic. Thank you Trisha for making our first Rover experience an awesome one. We look forward to Charlie’s next sleepover with you.”

“My experience with Danielle was great. She communicated well, sent me updates and pictures. My dog Haze was well taken care of. There place was nice and safe with a fenced yard. A great experience and I would highly recommend Danielle!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - St. Catharines
Camila and Santiago looked after my cat at their home for two weeks. He is a very shy cat that has struggled to adjust when I have left him with friends. But he warmed up to Camila and Santiago so quickly that I was amazed. They have a calm home and sent regular photo and video updates. I could not recommend them enough and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Karen and Jorge were great! I really appreciated their updates they provided regarding Alfie during his stay with them. He seemed like he had a great time! I even had a work situation this morning and I came late for pickup 😞 and Karen was very gracious and understanding. Thank you both for your help and for caring for my pup ☺️

Chelsea did an amazing job at making our dog Juana comfortable and providing lots of updates. Juana is a very social dog and Chelsea made sure she was well exercised and mentally stimulated with lots of outside time. I would definitely recommend Chelsea to others for their pet sitting needs!

It was my first time using the service, and Tania made the experience absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking such great care of Wilson while we are away. She sent frequent updates and videos/photos throughout the stay. I knew my boy was in good hands. Much appreciated!

Jade was awesome! Sh looked after my 15 week old pup Marlo and made me feel very comfortable leaving her there. She made sure that Marlo would get along with the other dog in her care and would send me pictures of Marlo. Also her response time was always very quick. Would highly recommend.

Marisa has done multiple drop in visits for my puppy Nemo, while I was away at work, when Nemo was small. She also boarded Nemo (now 5 months old) for a week recently and Nemo was so ecstatic to see Marisa, which was heartwarming to see. Marisa even picked her up and dropped her off which was great. She has always been punctual and sends updates while caring for your pet. I felt very comfortable away while Nemo was boarded with Marisa.

Melissa was one of the greatest borders I’ve ever had my dogs stay at. She works from home so almost always with them, is extremely accommodating, quick on responsiveness and great at providing updates with pictures. Believe it or not, she boarded my THREE Dobermans, 2 girls and a boy, for a full 24h while I had to get out of town. Also a plus for owners with big dogs who play rough with other dogs; nothing to worry about, she does not have a dog of her own living with her! Always very positive and professional in our interactions, will definitely use her boarding services again if ever needed!

Connor was absolutely exceptional. From the moment Draper arrived, it was clear he was in thoughtful, capable, and genuinely caring hands. Connor communicated consistently with detailed updates that were reassuring and honest, which made a huge difference while I was traveling. He was attentive to Draper’s comfort, routines, and little nuances, especially during a sudden cold snap, and went out of his way to make sure Draper stayed warm, comfortable, and happy. Draper settled in beautifully, bonded quickly, and was clearly relaxed, content, and very well cared for. It is obvious Connor truly loves what he does, and that care and calm energy shows in how dogs respond to him. I could not have asked for a better experience and would trust Connor again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
