I'm retired with a few minor obligations throughout the week, and am able to largely work around the animal's needs, especially with only one pet at a time.

Information Liz C. would like to know about your pet
Meet and greet required for all new clients. Generally prefer advance notice of 2-3 days minimum. Other facts needed: Breed, age, weight and height, past operations, meds, teeth care, general background - #children, adults in home, whether adopted or known from puppyhood. Your vet's adress and phone #. Like to know training history, barking, behaviour with other dogs, obedience training, any food sensitivities, behaviour with strangers, rules for sitting, (on-leash only, treats, feeding times, etc.) Breed preferences - prefer not to have pit bulls, Dobermans, German Shepherds, or large breeds that could jump over baby gate on deck unless very elderly.
A typical day
Around neighbourhood, small park at end of development. Ball and toy playing in the house. Would take to off leash park if permitted for chasing ball. Take walking with me as I exercise. Will take to larger parks and other locations if permitted.

Pet care experience
A long time dog and horse lover, have recently retired and moved to St. Catharines from Oakville and now have time to spend with pets. Love to walk and play with dogs or pamper kitties, enjoying their company, energy and unique personalities. Have a 1400 SF home in quiet area with several small dogs in neighbouring homes. Have large fenced-in DECK, and own car should veterinary attention be required at any time. Happy to observe /reinforce your rules with your pet. Have dog-sat and medicated dogs for neighbours and friends. Have also successfully fostered, medicated, and found homes for cats and their kittens in past years for Toronto Humane Society, and had two of my own outdoor cats for 17 yrs and adopted another that was with me for 12 years. NB. I DO ASK THAT WHERE PETS SOIL THE CARPET IN MY HOME, OWNERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REIMBURSE ME FOR ALL CLEANING COSTS REQUIRED.
Reviews

Liz provided great care of Bogie, our 18 year old kitty. We came for a pre-visit to get to know her and have her get to know Bogie and us. She was lovely, and made us feel comfortable leaving him. She sent us some cute pictures of him while he was staying with her. Thanks Liz! 😻

Liz is a warm and caring person who bonded with my dog and it went both ways. I feel so good about leaving my Buddy with her. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience.

Liz is a very kind and warm human. She bonded well with my little guy and took very good care of him. She was accommodating to my changing schedules which I was extremely grateful for. I would definitely recommend Liz and work with her again! Thanks, Liz !

Liz was great. Took care of my dog like he was her own. Highly recommended.
