We felt confident leaving Charlie in their care. They treated him like part of their family and truly loved him. Their communication was exceptional—we received regular updates and lots of photos, which gave us such peace of mind. This was especially important to us as Charlie had recently had surgery to remove a lump on his back and still had stitches. They followed all instructions perfectly and were so attentive and caring. Charlie is also very spoiled and loves being cozy with his blankets, and they went above and beyond by setting up his bed near the fireplace to keep him warm! We felt completely at ease the entire time and were so impressed that we’ve already booked another stay. We cannot recommend Heather and Matt highly enough.”

My first job was at Ren’s Pets Depot, where I was able to interact with pets and their owners every day. NB. I DO ASK THAT WHERE PETS SOIL THE CARPET IN MY HOME, OWNERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REIMBURSE ME FOR ALL CLEANING COSTS REQUIRED. I'm retired with a few minor obligations throughout the week, and am able to largely work around the animal's needs, especially with only one pet at a time. I have a large fenced in deck attached to the house, and reasonable sized common areas on the property, and a park around the block, where I can take your fur-babies reqularly!

Weekends will consist of morning activities, errands and evenings are downtime at home with our pup I can ensure your dog feels comfortable in our home with a cozy living space, lots of dog toys, lots of walks, dog-friendly neighbourhood and lots of downtime. We have a Shih Tzu at home who is loving with other dogs that come into our home, loves to play and would love the company

About: Hi, I'm Kirsten, but you can call me Kirty as all my friends do! I've been looking after animals for other people in my life for as long as I can remember. This is where my passion lies and I want to spend as much time with animals as I can. I have years of experience with cats and dogs of all ages and breeds. I work a part-time job with fairly flexible hours, and have had to balance both working and pet care many times over the last 5 years. I've spent many days and nights having slumber parties with pets at the owners houses. Whatever the pet needs, I'm there! About: Growing up, I always had animals in my life and I can't imagine living without a pet. My Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute are so much more than pets—they're family. They're my constant companions, my greatest source of unconditional love and my best friends. Whether we're exploring new trails, enjoying quiet moments together or setting off on another adventure, they're always by my side. Life is simply better with them in it, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I’m currently working a f/t night shift job (early retirement in December 2026). I am available from Monday-Friday after 11am and anytime over the weekend. I am available during the holiday season.
