“Dennis was great! Sent me pictures of Mishu enjoying outside and gave me a full update! Ut was the first time our pup ever met anyone without us being around and he did great with him!!”

“This is the first time Sheila has dropped in to visit Cody. From the moment I reached out to her, she was very responsive and great with communication. And when we met her, she was very professional and you could tell she was very at ease with dogs, given her extensive experience sitting for all manner of pets. The initial visit went well and we already have her booked for the next one.”

“Britney took very good care of Misha (our cat) when we were away! She was very professional, friendly and provided updates every visit with pics of our cat! She responded promptly to my messages. I would definitely get her help again when we go away. She was a pleasure to work with!! Thanks so much Britney!!”

“Christina was great! Reliable, super communicative, and our two cats very quickly warmed up to her. We have already booked her for our next trip and would highly recommend Christina.”

“Outstanding service. The communication was excellent throughout the entire booking, and I always felt informed and at ease. My puppy is usually very skittish and anxious with new people, they approached her with patience, confidence, and a gentle demeanor that made all the difference. I’m extremely grateful and would absolutely book again.”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats of different personalities and understand they have very unique needs. As a pet owner myself, I want to keep pets comfortable, active and loved while you are away. I’m patient, attentive and happy to follow your pet’s routine to make them feel at home! Currently working part time, have a flexible schedule for pet care through out the week. Plenty of time to provide walks, playtime, feeding and lots of attention! I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines and any special instructions. Make sure they have a clean, calm environment while receiving plenty of attention, affection and regular updates!
“We feel so lucky to have found Morgan as our cat sitter! She is truly amazing — caring, reliable, and incredibly loving with our two boys. Every time we go away, we have full peace of mind knowing they’re in the best hands. Morgan goes above and beyond, always sending us the sweetest updates and photos, which we really appreciate. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats our cats like her own. We couldn’t ask for better care. Highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their fur babies!”

“Chloe was very good with our pets and very accommodating with the booking. She made me feel assured that my pets would be well cared for and they were. Even my grumpy senior cat was sitting in her lap. Highly recommend”

“Lisa took care of our cat Winston for us while we were away. He can be a very rambunctious cat and finding someone who was very clearly comfortable with cats like Lisa is was very important to us. We go lots of pictures and videos and we’re really able to enjoy our time away knowing he was in good hands!”

About: I've provided care for dogs of all ages (newborn to palliative senior), training and energy levels, and breeds (Chihuahuas to Great Danes & Mastiffs) through fostering, boarding and day care/walks. While typically busy on weekdays, I have plenty of free time on the weekends to care for your pet(s). I can usually be available with little notice. I would follow your safety rules and use your preferred tools (leash, harness, etc.) when babysitting/walking. I also have 2 friendly dogs and a fenced yard.
“Once again we are so happy to have had Yvonne take care of our 2cats while we were away. The “boys” know Yvonne now and you can see how well looked after and happy they are in the pictures she sends each day! We highly recommend Yvonne and are so glad we found her!”

“Morgan has been great with my 3 year old Staffordshire. She works on training and reactiveness while walking, and my pup is always tired after their time together. I’ll be continuing to book Morgan!”

Sheila did drop-in visits with my cat, Valentine, while I was away for a few days, and was a wonderful and very professional sitter. My girl can be a little anxious around strangers, and Sheila did a great job respecting her boundaries and making her comfortable enough to even play a little while I was gone. The best part for me was the really fantastic photos she took and attached to each visit report card; it was such a comfort to see how happy Valentine was while I was away, and they were just very cute photos. Would definitely recommend her and book again!

This was our first time having someone we didn’t know come visit our cats at home while we were away. Susan was incredible, our cats loved her. She took great care of them and sent us lots of photos which we loved. Will definitely be using her again the next time we go away. She was awesome!

Des and Michelle were wonderful! They were punctual and took the time not only to feed the cats and clean the litter box, but also to play with them and earn their trust. They always sent detailed updates and photos, so I could enjoy my camping trip with peace of mind knowing my cats were in safe hands. I would happily recommend them to anyone in the neighbourhood.

Morgan has been an amazing support for my husband and I whenever we need someone to care for our cat. She's very communicative through every visit, and it's always clear how much she cares for the pets in her care. We would recommend Morgan to anyone needing a pet sitter who truly cares.

This was our 4th time working with Sue to take care of our two kitties, and it won't be the last! She is the best petsitter we have ever had. She is extremely caring, amazing with her communications and updates, and even went out of her way to make sure the cats were okay in hot weather. She is incredible!!!

Lisa took care of our cat Winston for us while we were away. He can be a very rambunctious cat and finding someone who was very clearly comfortable with cats like Lisa is was very important to us. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
