“Shelley has been coming to care for Charlie for about 2-3 years and we couldn’t be happier. We are so lucky to have her. She treats our little guy so well and she is super reliable. Always our first choice. Thank you Shelley!”

“Teya did a great job of looking after my three cats. She was thoughtful and communicated often. I would definitely hire her again, and I highly recommend her! I was confident that my cats were well taken care of by Teya.”

“This was my first time using Rover and Lisa made me feel so confident in the decision. It was easy to trust her to come on time and take great care of our kitty babies! Will be booking again.”

“Came last minute to help us out and did an amazing job. Cannot recommend enough for drop-in visits. There was a ton of rain and we had a minor leak, Izabella went above and beyond and cleaned it up and let me know immediately. We so appreciated her help.”

“Nova was fantastic and made it so easy. She came for a meet and greet the day before a last minute booking. My pup immediately took to her gentle nature. Hopefully I can book Nova again when we are away. Thank you!”

“Kristen was incredible. Very thorough in her visits, always checked in on the app, and provided great photos of the kitties while I was away!! Kristen's communication was also incredible, very quick response time. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of support for your animals!”

“Lauren took such good care of my two cats, one of which requires insulin injections twice daily. When our trip was extended due to the Air Canada strike, Lauren was so accommodating. She’s friendly, communicative, and knowledgeable about their unique medical needs. I’ll be using Lauren’s services exclusively whenever I need a cat sitter!”

“Odin had such a good time that he didnt come to door to see me when I got home after 1.5 hours with Shannon. This is unheard of from my puppy. I was both happy and a little offended lol. Shannon has a good energy and dogs feel it.”

About: For 15 years, I have worked as a trusted elementary school teacher who cares deeply for my young students. I have also been relied upon for pet-sitting and dog-walking for a number of families for many years. Feeding, playing, exercising, cleaning, caring for all pets' needs. I am returning to my full time teaching job in September, which fills my days from 8 to 4, but I am fully available for overnight pet and house-sitting, as well as fully available on weekends! I ensure my own pets are comfortable and well cared for. When I stay in others' homes, I follow pets' routines and meet their needs.
About: PEACE OF MIND... that is my gift to you while you are away. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet and home in the hands of someone who is mature and trustworthy. You can rest assured that daily walks and lots of time outside (if that is what your pet wishes) will be what in store during your time away.) Have a lovely vacation! Your home becomes my home while you are away... which includes caring for all the needs of your loved one. Rest assured that they become my top priority while you are enjoying yourself. Caring for your pet is all about knowing what they wish... which is why you will give me a "wish list" that I can refer to each day.
“Erin and Chad were great! I had a last minute request and they were able to fulfill that. They gave lots of belly rubs and pictures of both animals. I would definitely use them again. Thanks!”

About: I have years of experience with animal care, having pet-sat for many families and pet owners over the last 10 years, as well as in more established settings such as vet clinics and animal rescues. I also grew up and have lived alongside animals for most of my life. I have experience with animals ranging from house pets (cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) to farm animals (pigs, donkeys, sheep, etc.) and am confident in my ability to care for and love your companions. I grew up with rescue animals and understand they can sometimes have their quirks and need a little extra patience. The animals in my family have included seniors, a diabetic cat, and rescues who were very fearful and took time to feel safe. I’m comfortable caring for animals who may be anxious, reactive, or not easily handled, and I always prioritize making them feel safe and loved. Some of my specific skills and experiences include: - Experience with grooming and nail trimming for house pets (and often asked by owners to help with this for their own animals) - Caring for injured animals or those with special needs (with guidance from owners or vets) - Experience administering basic medications, including pills, injections, and oral syringes - Comfortable following detailed care instructions and medication schedules - Experience working at wildlife and animal sanctuaries - Volunteer experience at a veterinary clinic - Confident and calm when handling animals - Strong understanding of animal body language and behaviour The rates on my profile are just suggestions. I don't often have a set rate as I prefer to find something that works for both of us, so please still reach out and we can chat about it! I work numerous casual jobs and so I have a very flexible schedule which I can work around and adjust based on my pet-sitting schedule. I believe I offer a very safe and comforting environment for the pets I sit, whether at their home or mine. I've been told I give off a very caring energy that makes people and animals feel safe and like they con trust me. As an anxious person myself, I really care about your pet feeling safe, comfy, and at ease.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Guelph
Chelsey is awesome with my cat Stevie. She is very responsible and also takes the time to interact and play with him. Her communication in setting up appointments is also very straightforward. I have booked Chelsey in the past and would have no hesitations in booking her again in the future. Thanks!

Izabella is a reliable and trustworthy sitter. Our pets immediately felt comfortable with her and even our most timid cat warmed up to her. It’s clear she cares deeply about animals. She was very responsive and accessible. We had a great experience with her overall.

Katelyn was a wonderful pet sitter while we were gone. Our cat has health issues and she was very confident to take care of all of his needs. She spent time interacting with him and getting to know him. We also loved and appreciated all of the photos sent so we knew he was well cared for.

Melissa was a great cat sitting for our 13 year kitty "Luna". Her communication was prompt and consistent during booking and our time away. Her reports on each visit were detailed and showed how patient she was being despite having having a stressed cat that required daily medication and creative bribery :) Highly recommend.
