Professional Pet Lover
Recent grad from the Animal Biology program at the university of Guelph. Recently trained a service dog for an organization. Due to this history, I tend to maintain a structured environment with pets I take care of, we typically spend our time going on adventures, training and also prioritizing settling and practicing the art of doing nothing. These days, I have rescue foster dogs in and out of the house. I am very familiar with a variety of behavioural issues including reactivity, resource guarding, anxiety and more. I have three cats which I love so much. I’m super passionate about feline behaviour and pet nutrition. Some of you may know me from the grooming business I founded, Pampered Paws Pet Grooming. At Pampered Paws we strive to provide a stress-free experience for dogs, cats, and small animals. I currently work am the Vet Assistant at Park Avenue Vets, a local holistic vet clinic. I additionally worked at the OVC in the surgery department and have plenty of vet experience.

I understand how difficult it is to find pet services you can whole-heartedly trust, but I would love to be that person for your family, in whichever ways you see fit. I always offer a complimentary meet and greet - which almost always allows clients to get to know me and feel 100% more comfortable with the process.

We are overjoyed to have found Jess and will be trusting her with our dog from here on out! Jess is super friendly and communicative from the beginning. She kept us updated with messages and photos the entire stay. We enjoyed how confident she was in taking care of our high energy Doberman, which made it so much easier to leave her. Our dog genuinely seemed to be smiling with Jess. She provided lots of excersise and socialization with other dogs. Super happy with our experience.
Our dog realized that we were leaving on a trip and didn’t want to get into the car. But when we got to Jess’s place, our dog ran to the front door (second time with Jess ) 🥹

Schedule
I am part time self employed - running my pet grooming business. About 3 days a week I am in the veterinary clinic. I always come home during my lunch hour and dogs aren’t left for more than 4 hr.

- I'm more than happy to accommodate for special needs and disabilities in your pets. I have plenty of experience with all sorts of medical issues, behavioural problems and specialized care.
