Dog, Cat and Bunny Care
Hi! Growing up with a cat, I desperately wanted a dog (isn’t that always the way?). Within 6 weeks of purchasing our first home, rather than paint or get decorate, we got Dexter, a now 16 year old terrier/pug cross (neutered). 3 years later we adopted Juno, a Shiba Inu rescue from Ohio. Juno crossed the rainbow bridge at age 13 in November 2025 and I quickly realized I have far too much love for pets in me to only have one dog in my life! Oh and my son, who has grown up with TWO dogs, now says he wants a cat. PLEASE READ RE DAYCARE OR BOARDING REQUESTS My boarding and daycares services is a partnership with my husband, Marc. He has owned and been around dogs longer than I have! He works remotely and therefore if you choose to book with us, please be advised that one of us will be home at all times, but not necessarily me! Marc is present at all daycare and boarding meet n greets and while he doesn't do house sits, he may be available for an occassional walk, if I am already booked for the time/date of your request! Please note that as of September 2026, last-minute bookings (under 48 hours) may be subject to an increased booking fee (maximum $20). I always try and accomodate last minute bookings (life happens!) but it does require some additional juggling on my end! Thank you for understanding! I am pet first aid certified through Canadian Red Cross. I am comfortable with multiple dogs at once in any shape, age or size. I also have experience house sitting cats and bunnies.

Kristen took great care of Luna! She followed instructions and even cleaned up around the litter box. Communication was excellent and I looked forward to Luna's "photoshoots" every day! I think I've found my repeat sitter!
Good communication, did everything that was asked of her, respectful to me, my cat, and our home. She was a good sitter and was willing to help out on short notice, which was much appreciated. Will absolutely book again next time I need a pet sitter.

Kristen is excellent! She prepared our dog Pip for their stay together by doing not one, but two meet and greets. Kristen was very communicative during the stay providing us with daily detailed updates and photos. She was attentive to the needs of our anxious dog and was able to make him comfortable while we were away. Thank you Kristen.
I appreciated that Kristen suggested a meet and greet even though the sit was only for 60 minutes. She engaged with Rosie right away and asked thoughtful questions. I appreciated the detailed report and pictures, again despite this sit only being for 60 minutes. I knew Rosie was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Kristen again.
Kristen did a wonderful job caring for Silver (cat)! She communicated well and took lots of photos! I would definitely hire her again in the future when needed.

My availability for walks is very limited on Thursdays, please message if you would like a Thursday walk. Right now we host one sweet, well-tempered weiner dog on Thursdays, if this someone who you think your dog could get along with, and are interested in daycare, send me a message! Daycare on other days may be explored as options as well.

Safety, trust & environment
WALKING It's your dog's walk, I am just on it! I have experience walking high-energy breeds (pullers), multiple dogs at once (including high energy, large breeds) and I have experience walking stubborn dogs (poodles, airdale terriers, iykyk). My general rule is always-on-leash and -always-avoid-other-dogs. If you'd like your dog to be walked off-leash or to meet other dogs, please let me know and we can discuss! DAYCARE AND BOARDING I have a large fenced in yard with one calm senior dog (male, neutered) and two small and one medium-ish sized crates available if needed. ****My boarding and daycares services is a partnership with my husband, Marc. A typical day
I love getting to know your pets and letting them get to know me. I have lots of patience for pets who are a bit shy and may need some time to warm up, well as those who don't seem to have an "off" switch like my boy Dexter; I love finding out their favourite toys and games and leaning into it! With owner permission I like to offer a new toy to the pet(s) as a treat while they're away from their person. Lots of excercise whether that's walks, tugging, ball chasing, dangling cat toys, or a bunny obstacle course out of cardboard boxes. If your dog is more "independent" I am happy to give your pup the space and respecft he/she needs to feel comfortable. I love taking photos and videos of your pets for "pupdates" - updates, but with "pup", get it?

- Besides basics (age, diet, size, etc), if possible I like to get a sense of their favourite (permitted) treats, training goals (for puppies), favourite toys or games, general bathroom/walking schedule, whether they're reliable off leash, whether they're OK with other dogs, any grooming needs, any medications or health concerns, vet and/or emergency contact, sleeping arrangements, excercise needs and of course their personality! I'll know anything you're willing to tell me about your pet - one day we realized one of our dogs did NOT like Michael Jackson and would leave the room when his music came on!
