“Thank you for giving such great care to Brandi and Lacy. It was our first time ever using any type of boarding facility. Normally we would leave our dogs with friends or family. With Lacy being only 4 months old, we thought it best to have her boarded. (Too much puppy for family. Choosing Jean and her family to care for our dogs was a no brainer. A fenced large yard was what we first liked. Having a meet and greet with Jean gave us peace of mind we were making the right decision. Her Golden Retriever Georgia was great for Lacy with exposure to other dogs. Special thank you to your kids (I did not want to mention their names here) It was nice for Brandi to have a quiet place to hang out. We sure did miss our girls. It was nice knowing that they were in good hands and didn’t seem to miss us at all. It’s a good thing. Thank you Jean for all you . I will definitely choose you and your family for future travel plans. We would also Like to discuss puppy daycare after Lacy is done her training. Cheers! Manny,Joanne and Peggy”

About: Hi! So, growing up with a cat, I always wanted a dog (isn’t that always the way?). Within 6 weeks of purchasing our first home, rather than paint or get furniture, we got Dexter, a now 16-year old sheltie/terrier/pug cross (neutered). 3 years later we adopted Juno, a purebred Shiba Inu rescue from Ohio. Juno crossed the rainbow bridge at age 13 in November 2025 and I quickly realized I have far too much love for pets in me to only have one dog in my life! Oh and my son, who has grown up with TWO dogs, says he wants a cat. I am pet first aid certified through Canadian Red Cross. I am comfortable with multiple dogs at once in any shape, age or size. I also have experience house sitting cats and bunnies. I am self-employed and work remotely so I currently have a wide range of availability (weekdays, mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends) to play with/supervise your pet! I have a large fenced in yard with one calm senior dog (male, neutered) and two small sized crates available if needed. I am an avid walker and have experience walking multiple dogs at once. I also have experience house sitting cats, bunnies and fish and am happy to try and not kill your plants.

About: I have always been growing up with pets in my lifetime. I am experienced with dogs big and small. Cats of different breeds. I have experience with rabbits and chickens as well. I am currently retired and at home most of the time. We have a fenced large sized backyard that the dogs can play in safely. I have a fully fenced backyard for the dogs to play in. They are allowed to go in and out whenever they wanted. I do meet and greet to make sure dogs have good temperament that they can get along with each other. I am flexible in time schedule so I can always be at home to ensure dogs are safe and get along with each other. Breaking conflicts before they even started.
“Amazing. Period. Our puppy Lulah spent a week with Allison and Scott and came home EXHAUSTED. I think she’s missing all her new dog friends and the freedom to explore at their house. We were super anxious leaving her with “strangers” but they made us feel so comfortable. Scott spent close to two hours talking to me, telling me all about their place and how they started taking in dogs for boarding. He showed me his beautiful property - a wonderland for dogs, and really made me feel reassured. While Lulah was in their care he kept us constantly updated with photos and videos and little stories about things she was doing. It’s as close as we could get to getting feedback straight from Lulah. We will definitely use them again for boarding and would highly recommend them”

About: I provide attentive, personalized care and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved in my home. I keep my boarding small so each pet receives plenty of attention and supervision. I have experience with energetic dogs and understand the importance of routine, patience, and consistency. I can support basic training and help reinforce good habits. My playful and friendly Shiba Inu provides companionship for dogs who enjoy socializing, while I also make sure there is plenty of quiet time for rest and relaxation. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. My partner works a 9–5 schedule, and I am home during the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I maintain a calm and structured environment with regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation. I make sure each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs are respected so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while they are away from home. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where pets can feel comfortable while they are away from their families. I treat every pet as an individual and take the time to understand their routine, personality, and needs. In my home, pets receive attentive supervision, regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to relax. I keep my boarding numbers small, accepting a maximum of two dogs at a time, so each pet receives the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. My goal is to make every dog feel like they are part of the family while providing the consistency and comfort they need during their stay.
“We are extremely happy we had to leave our home with short noses and with no hesitation Randi helped us oh and Trip had a ball And I was sleeping because he’s exhausted all the fun he had with her and your family”

“Am so happy with the experience. If only Gretzky could talk then he would probably say the same. Valerie and family are very sweet and I will surely pass the good words about Valerie and Rover to family and friends. Thank you so much Valerie!”

“Olenka and Joseph were great! They sent pictures and update of Wayne’s stay. He was a well looked after pup. Our next out of town trip I will be reaching out to them!”

About: I’m an experienced, caring dog lover who has raised dogs from puppies through their senior years. I live in a calm, quiet home with my 9-year-old child, who is gentle, kind, and absolutely loves animals. I work from home full-time, so your dog will get plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and exercise. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs—and I can administer medication as needed. Your pet will enjoy a calm, loving, and safe environment with lots of movement, enrichment, and (of course) belly rubs. We also have a friendly 2-year-old male Standard Poodle who loves having dog friends. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I do not accept reactive or intact dogs. Your dog will be treated like family here ❤️ I work for a tech company fully remote, we do walks during the day and in the evening with lots of outdoor playtime in the backyard. I have a fenced yard which is safe and secure and your dog will have full access to the house but I can crate if nesseaary. Your furry family member will need to get along with my poodle so a pre visit is required.
“Had our first experience with Rover and Lydia for our older doberman Spock. He's a gentle soul that needs a little more attention and care as he's 12 years old. We were nervous about having him kenneled all weekend in the kennels that had availability so we were looking for a alternative where he would be cared for like home. Lydia was exceptional in her care and attention for our dog, he came back having had lots of love and play, couldn't be happier with the care he received. Would book again in a heartbeat, would highly recommend.”

About: I have been working with fostering, walking pets and help them find homes since 2022, I know the care they need and I would love to take care of them for you, I know it’s hard on who to trust when your pet needs care and I can assure you I would treat them with as much love as I would do with my own pet❤️. I’ve been taking care of some of the sweetest fur babies for a year here on Rover and wouldn’t have it any other way, the additional experience that I’ve gained in this past year I wouldn’t change it for anything! Excited to meet and work together with your best friend!🐾 I’m currently studying part-time so I have plenty of time to play and walk with your dog! If you need help on the weekends I can help you or if you need boarding on the weekdays I’m also available! I try to make them feel comfortable with me in their own space, I would play with them a lot so when you get home from work they will be more calm (trust me I know they have a lot of energy). But if your pet is relaxed we can also relax, if you want we can go on walks, play games that are stimulating for them, follow the diet you’re giving him. Whatever is best for your fur baby.
“Shelby was amazing and very attentive to Bandit's special needs. I was kept informed and enjoyed many of the candid photos. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be booking again!”

“I would definitely recommend her! She took great care of my pup and kept me updated the entire time he was staying with her. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“Chad & Andrea are absolutely amazing. They took my Scooby in on a last minute request for seven days and saved me from having to cancel my Caribbean vacation! Scooby is a nervous girl with new people (particularly men) and they were so patient with her. I felt so comfortable leaving Scooby with them knowing she was being well cared for. I got lots of pictures seeing Scooby's progress :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Guelph
Shelley recently took care of our dog for the first time for a weekend. Without being asked, she regularly provided us with text updates & photos. Knowing our dog was managing fine in Shelley's care & seeing photos of him interacting with other dogs also in her care put our mind at ease as we were a bit nervous leaving our fur baby. This allowed us to focus on co-hosting our daughter's wedding without worrying throughout the weekend. Shelley's well qualified to care for animals & I would highly recommend her to anyone. My husband & I plan to use her services again & are happy to recommend her to others. Shelley's definitely a keeper!

Arlene and Kevin are amazing! We are so glad that we chose them to take care of our Kipper while we were away. They really went above and beyond providing daily updates, photos and even celebrating his birthday! Highly recommend if you are looking for someone to treat your pet like royalty.

We are overjoyed to have found Jess and will be trusting her with our dog from here on out! Jess is super friendly and communicative from the beginning. She kept us updated with messages and photos the entire stay. We enjoyed how confident she was in taking care of our high energy Doberman, which made it so much easier to leave her. Our dog genuinely seemed to be smiling with Jess. She provided lots of excersise and socialization with other dogs. Super happy with our experience.

Thank you, Shannon for taking care of our boy Jax! It was great to see photos of him, enjoying his stay with you, and we can tell he was very happy! Of course this makes us very happy while we are away, knowing that he is in good hands. Thank you again. We are extremely grateful for your service! Rod and Michelle.

My dogs adapted to Jennifer and her family extremely well. With regular walks, playtime, and lots of TLC the dogs were very happy including our one that has separation anxiety. I would not hesitate to book with Jennifer again unless you are worried the dogs won’t want to leave Jennifer’s house like I was.
Carly was absolutely amazing with our dog, Toby! From the start, she made us feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. She was caring, reliable, and treated him like family. We loved getting updates and could tell Toby was happy, relaxed, and well looked after the entire time. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Carly again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!! Toby had such a blast and is currently catching up on some sleep! Thank you, Carly!!

Kathryn and her daughters were amazing! This was our first time leaving our dog with her and she made us feel so comfortable with regular photos and updates. It looked like Murphy was in great care, had a blast and loved spending time with them and their dog! We will definitely be asking Kathryn to watch Murphy again!

Jyll and Cannon had the best time together. I was so appreciative of how genuinely caring she was and always keeping in touch giving updates. Jyll has a lot of experience with dogs and it is very evident with how confident and nurturing she is. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Olenka & Joseph; Thank you so much for taking such good care of Dahlia! She had an excellent time staying at your place and enjoyed every minute, especially play-time! The daily photos were appreciated as we could see how much fun she was having. We will recommend your dog-sitting services to our family and friends.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
