I have years of experience with animal care, having pet-sat for many families and pet owners over the last 10 years, as well as in more established settings such as vet clinics and animal rescues. I also grew up and have lived alongside animals for most of my life. I have experience with animals ranging from house pets (cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) to farm animals (pigs, donkeys, sheep, etc.) and am confident in my ability to care for and love your companions. I grew up with rescue animals and understand they can sometimes have their quirks and need a little extra patience. The animals in my family have included seniors, a diabetic cat, and rescues who were very fearful and took time to feel safe. I’m comfortable caring for animals who may be anxious, reactive, or not easily handled, and I always prioritize making them feel safe and loved. Some of my specific skills and experiences include: - Experience with grooming and nail trimming for house pets (and often asked by owners to help with this for their own animals) - Caring for injured animals or those with special needs (with guidance from owners or vets) - Experience administering basic medications, including pills, injections, and oral syringes - Comfortable following detailed care instructions and medication schedules - Experience working at wildlife and animal sanctuaries - Volunteer experience at a veterinary clinic - Confident and calm when handling animals - Strong understanding of animal body language and behaviour The rates on my profile are just suggestions.
