“Misa was wonderful in accommodating us last minute. She was the first sitter we have used on Rover and she knew I was nervous leaving our puppy. She was wonderful in putting both Theodore and myself at ease. She sent several pics and videos and kept me in the loop. I appreciated her kindness and calm nature. I would highly recommend her.”

“We were so relived to find Lisa for our dog Rosie. I was extremely anxious to leave Rosie. .Lisa was so calm, kind and a true lover of dogs. The minute we met I knew Rosie would be loved and have great care. During our 7 day vacation, Lisa sent us updates every evening and included cute videos of Rosie having a great time and looking calm and comfortable.. We wont hesitate to use Lisa again!”

“Bruno stayed with Megan for a month, and I couldn’t recommend Megan enough. I was stressed about leaving him for a month, but Megan made the whole experience completely stress-free, and I never had to worry at all. They regularly sent me pictures and updates. Bruno also became best friends with their dog, Ella, who is so sweet hearted, which made his stay even better. Their family was lovely as well, and they treated him as part of the family. It was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I’m so glad to know Bruno has a second home. I will definitely book again if we go on another trip or if something comes up. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.”

“Mana and Ahmed are very caring and responsible. As dog parents themselves, they understand Sushi’s individual needs and are willing to accommodate. Their house is fully dog-approved with many dog beds and toys available. Mana communicated with me constantly and provided lots of pictures during each stay. Sushi is happy to go to Mana’s house every time! I feel reassured leaving my fur baby with Mana and Ahmed.”

“We can’t thank Diana enough for watching our dog Nalani. This was our first time using a dog sitter and our dog is a very anxious dog! Diana took the time to do a meet and greet which really put our minds at ease that Nalani would be in good hands and comfortable in her home, our dog settled right in immediately! While we were away we received daily updates with photos. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend!”

“We are so happy that we found Koji and Diana on Rover and with the care that they provided to Callie. She needed to stay with a family while we were away. Koji and Diana along with Bill and their children turned out to be the perfect match. We absolutely recommend them for dog sitting in their home.”

“Jacky and Rocio were amazing. Our Bailey was well cared for and given lots of love. They sent us pictures and videos to keeping us updated on how her stay with them was going. We definitely will use them again. Highly recommend!”

“Juno had an excellent stay with Michelle and her family. She was very well cared for and Michelle kindly provided us daily updates and photos. Would definitely recommend and will be using Michelle again.”

“We had such a great experience leaving our dog with Anne during our vacation. Our dog is sweet but a bit quirky, and Anne took amazing care of her and made her feel totally comfortable. We trust her completely. She even brushed her daily — our dog came home looking better than when we dropped her off. Would absolutely book again!”

“Thank you so much Blaine, for treating Leo like your own. Will definitely board Leo with you again. Appreciate the time chatting about the time spent when I picked him up. Thank you.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and had a dog from the age of 5 until he sadly passed away last year. I’ve helped my sister with Rover dog sitting and have also cared for friends’ dogs. I’m patient, responsible, and will always treat your pets like family. I’m currently in online summer school, so I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home. This allows me to give pets lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I live in a safe, pet-friendly home with my mom and a fenced yard for dogs to play safely. Pets will always be supervised, given lots of attention, and cared for according to their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and at home.
“We had a wonderful experience with Rie and Masahiro. They took amazing care of Lucky, kept us updated with lots of photos and videos, and were incredibly attentive. They made sure he was comfortable and happy the entire time. We’re so grateful for their kindness. Highly recommend! Thank you so much, Rie & Masahiro, for taking such great care of Lucky!”

“Danielle provided an exceptional second home for Duke. I was very pleased with the way she went over and beyond to make Duke feel right at home, along with her children. He had full roam of her house which he loved, and he followed her wherever she went. She even provided Duke with Pup Cups and treats to make Duke’s stay with her a memorable one. Danielle even provided me with daily pictures and updates which made me and my family more at ease. I know now, whenever we’re going to be away and can’t take Duke with us, Danielle is going to be the first person I call. Thank you Danielle for everything that you did to make Duke feel like part of your family.”

“This was our second stay for our dog Maisy with Ethan and we will make sure that Ethan’s home will always be where she stays!!! Thank you Ethan and family 💕 Patty and Maisy💕💕”

“Patricia was amazing! She took the time to ask plenty of questions to understand my dog’s specific needs and was a huge help while I was out of town. I would highly recommend hiring Patricia and will definitely do so again myself.”
“Nikhil and family were great hosts. They took great care of Maggie and even arranged for care when something came up unexpectedly. He kept us informed and sent daily photos. Their home has a great yard to entertain dogs. Thanks for allowing us to worry about one less thing while we were away!”

Christine and her family were great with Oliver! He had the best time! He slept most of the next day after I brought him home and every time I mention Bear his head goes up and he looks around for him. I appreciated all the updates throughout the week. I would definitely take him back next time a need comes up. Thankyou so much Christine!

Karen had a lovely way with our dog and he took to her immediately. She followed his care instructions to the letter and Louis seemed very comfortable for his visit. She sent lots of photos of our boys time with her.. Karen was wonderful with Louis and we think he will be very happy to visit Karen for another sleep over.

Dog owners who are anxious about leaving their beloved family member with a stranger can be reassured with Shannon. Shannon is professional, responsible, and communicates updates regularly. Her family (and dog Lulu) are all part of a caring team. We’ve left our Lab with Shannon for weekends and 2-week vacations and we were always very happy with the results.

We had a great experience with our dog sitters, Rohan and Mrunmayi! They were very attentive, and the care they gave Rocky was excellent. He was happy and well looked after the entire time. We also loved that their dog, Maaya, was there. Rocky seemed to really enjoy the company! We especially appreciated the regular updates, photos, and videos. It gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Rocky was in good hands. We would absolutely leave him with them again and highly recommend their services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
