“Highly pleased that Jennifer ( and family) made "Pippa" a member of their household for this weekend. It was a first time stay so was unsure how anxious she might be. Jennifer sent texts and pictures letting me know she was just fine. Jennifer's Pug and my Maltese/ Pomeranian looked like they were enjoying each other.”

“Cyndy was there in a pinch for me. I felt comfortable leaving my doggo with her. She took him for a run and gave him lots of cuddles. She was communicative and he came home happy. Highly recommend.”

“Artur and Lana are fantastic at creating a second home away from home for Mango. I never have to worry he is not being well looked after, and I get lots of pictures showing him having a great time. Thank you both for even going out of your way to pick up extra food in a pinch. I wouldnt hesitate to rebook with them again! :)”

“Great experience. Very reliable and caring — our dog was happy and well looked after. Communication was easy and we felt at ease the whole time. Would definitely book again!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Seema and couldn’t be happier with the care she provided for my dog, Max. From the moment we met, she was very friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about dogs. Max was dropped off at 7:30 in the morning and picked up at 7:30 in the evening, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands throughout the day. Seema was extremely caring and loving toward Max. He had a great time playing fetch with her and was walked multiple times during the day. She made sure he was fed properly and well taken care of. Max also made a new friend, Yogi—an 11-month-old Golden Retriever—and they had an amazing time together, playing and running around in the backyard, even enjoying the snow. It was clear from the updates and interactions that Max was happy, comfortable, and well behaved in her care. I truly appreciate the attention, love, and dedication Seema showed. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Max and I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“I’m so happy we found Bright! He watched my two girls over the long weekend and they were well cared for! I got routine updates with pictures and when it was time for pick up they were tired out from what must have been an active day. They even got treats to take home with them 🥰 We will definitely be booking again!”

“Amanda and her family took amazing care of Ripley while we were away! From the initial meet and greet to the boarding of Ripley, Amanda made the entire process smooth and a positive experience for Ripley and us.”

About: Our family love all pets, and our little husky is very calm and loves playing around with all breeds. I've grown with dogs and other kinds of pets all my life, back in Mexico, friends and family would trust their furry friends with us. Not a professional groomer or anything but have raised, trained and cared for many, I used to go help our vet, when I wanted to be one as a kid. I work from home, so I’m around most of the day to give your pup plenty of attention. Our husky, Blue, is my walking buddy—we usually go on a couple of walks a day, and she also enjoys hanging out in the backyard or napping on the couch. If you’re comfortable with it, I’m happy to take your dog along to the dog park, just like I do for Blue. I can give oral medications if needed and will always keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing how your pet is doing. Since I work from home, my schedule is flexible. I typically go on 2–3 walks a day and have plenty of time for play breaks, backyard time, or just keeping your pup company. My daughter has a few activities during the week, but there’s always someone home, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods. Feeding times can be adjusted to match your dog’s routine, though I usually feed Blue twice a day. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. Our home is dog-friendly, with a fenced backyard where pups can play and explore securely. Inside, dogs are welcome to relax on the couch or find a cozy spot of their own. I always keep an eye on interactions to make sure everyone feels safe and happy. Whether in my home or yours, I’ll follow your instructions carefully—whether that means sticking to a strict schedule, avoiding certain foods, or keeping walks calm and controlled. You can trust that your dog will be treated like part of the family here.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Chester! He stayed with them for two weeks, and the care, love, and attention he received were truly amazing. We got regular updates, and it was so comforting to see how happy and relaxed he was. It honestly felt like he was on his own little vacation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring!”

“Nigel and his family took such great care of my Gigi! She had so much fun playing with their dog, Ozzy, and it was wonderful knowing she was in such loving hands. I would definitely book with them again!”

About: We have both owned and taken care of pups our whole lives. We have a mini-doodle that will become your pups best friend during their entire stay here. I work from home with a very flexible schedule which offers a great environment for your pup. I am home all day so your pup will never feel alone. I have a fenced yard with a park behind my home. We will do minimum two walks a day and on sunny days I will work outside while your dog spends some quality time in the sun.
About: I've had dogs in my life ever since I was a kid! I love them more than anything. I now have a dog of my own and often dog sit for all my family members. I work from home so I will always be available for play time and walks! My hours usually end pretty early for longer walks and hikes if needed. I have a calm and affectionate pup for company! She's never met another dog that she doesn't get along with. Puppy friends for the win!
“May and her family were so lovely to deal with and I could tell they took such good care of my little Lexi. Lexi seemed very happy there and took to May and her daughter Sophia right away. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.”

“Catharine was fantastic, so glad we were able to connect with her on this platform. She took great care of our boy & sent lots of updates throughout his stay! 100% would recommend her services.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Eric and Deborah provided for our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels during their overnight stay. This was a trial run before our upcoming two-week trip to Europe, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. I was especially worried about our dog, Louie, who is extremely anxious and typically struggles when he’s away from us or with unfamiliar people. To my surprise and relief, he settled in with Deborah almost immediately. It was so clear from the updates and photos that both dogs felt safe, comfortable, and right at home. Knowing that Louie adapted so well has given me complete peace of mind about leaving them for our upcoming vacation. That reassurance is priceless. Eric and Deborah are kind, caring, and clearly have a genuine love for animals. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate pet sitters. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of our boys. We are so grateful!”

“Priya took great care of our dog, Skittles. He is very high energy and can be anxious. She understood and took the time to give him some extra love and snuggles. She sent us photos through out the day. He had a wonderful stay with her. 10/10 would recommend Priya! 🙂”

“Bill and TRACEY are a great couple and are very caring towards dogs. I would take Casey back there in a heartbeat. He loved it. I could tell by when he got home that he wasn’t depressed from being away from home.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
