“I couldn't ask for a better family to look after my dog. They spoiled them every day, took him on daily adventures and sent my family daily video and photos. I have recommended them to my friends and family. If there was a hire than a five staring, I would give it to them.”
“Jayna and Lyndon stepped up last minute to take care of my dog, Murphy, and I couldn't be happier with their service. They gave Murphy long walks, and he came back tired and happy. The personal touch and updates with pictures showed their dedication and made me feel at ease. I'll definitely be using their services again. Highly recommend Jayna and Lyndon for their fantastic care. Thanks for taking care of Murphy!”

“Eva and her family are very nice and responsible. She checked all the details, took great care of our dog and kept us updated with messages / photos and videos. She did such an amazing job that I’m almost worried my dog might want to stay with her instead of coming home with me!”

“Catharine was fantastic, so glad we were able to connect with her on this platform. She took great care of our boy & sent lots of updates throughout his stay! 100% would recommend her services.”

“Although our bernedoodle is very social and loves to play, our home is pretty quiet so we weren’t too sure at first about leaving her in a home with other dogs. From our very first introduction at their well thought out meet & greet, we knew Bob & Skip would do a great job taking care of our pup. She came home good & tired, and clearly well cared for, from her time with Bob & Skip and the new dog friends she made at their place.”

“Our pup’s first visit with Stefanie was fantastic! We are from out of town visiting for the holidays and Stefanie made the process easy as first time Rover users. We got smiling pictures of him playing in the snow with his new friends and he was all tried out from his fun stay.”

“Shelly is the best! I trust her with my baby so much so that I booked with her again. I will always book with Shelly because I know my puppy will always be so loved and cared for!!”

“Buddy had an amazing week in Justine and Inna’s care. He received great care and his complex health needs were covered. If you are looking for a loving home for your fur baby to visit this is the one!!!! I highly recommend 😊”

“can’t recommend Kayla enough for her incredible care of my dog over the past two days! From the moment I met her, I could tell she was a true gem. She took the time to understand my dog’s needs and personality, ensuring she felt comfortable and happy. Throughout the stay, she provided regular updates, complete with photos that showcased their adventures together. My dog returned home healthy, joyful, and clearly well-loved. I’m so grateful for her kindness and attention to detail. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again for future pet-sitting needs!”

“What a wonderful couple. From the moment Skyla my 8 month old pup was dropped off, I felt so comfortable. You can truly tell they love taking care of dogs. I received videos and pics throughout her stay. I would 100 percent recommend them, you will not be disappointed”

“Valerie and her family are excellent trusted caretaker for our precious little Luna. She takes really good care of her and keeps her on the same schedule. Thank you so much and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have a innate love of animals. Large or small, confident or timid, young or old, they all have a place in my heart. I am patient, adaptable and calm even when others may not be. My critical thinking skills help me to troubleshoot any situation your pet might challenge me with. I always look for a win-win outcome. Your pets walk and play time every day is an important part of their lives, and I look forward to spending my time with them. Georgia is an American Staffy that we rescued last year, at approximately 1 years old. Since then we have focused on all levels of training, including agility, to help deal with her reactivity. We have made tremendous progress over the last year with her. I am available between 7 and 6 Monday to Saturday. Sundays and holidays can also be accommodated. My flexible schedule means that I can provide care on your schedule. I know that timing and routine are important to your pet and yourself, and I am punctual and dependable. I understand how important the safety of your furry friend is to you. Should your pet join us in our home, they will have the opportunity to enjoy our fully fenced back yard during play time. During walking times, there are many lovely trails and pathways in our quiet residential neighborhood that we can enjoy together.
“Taryn was very good with both dogs. She was able to manage Kai who is nervous around new people as he had never had anyone take care of him other than us before. We appreciate you making us feel comfortable leaving him”

“This was Simon’s first time being away from home, and I was a nervous wreck. I had nothing to worry about though as Simon had a wonderful time and I received many updates which was amazing. 10/10 recommend Deborah.”

“Fantastic experience! Onyx was very well taken care of and loved his long walk at the park. Jayson was professional, super responsive on the app, and easy to coordinate with. We highly recommend him and will definitely book again!”

“We are extremely happy we had to leave our home with short noses and with no hesitation Randi helped us oh and Trip had a ball And I was sleeping because he’s exhausted all the fun he had with her and your family”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
