“We had a great experience with Carrie. She took care of our 1.5 year old dog for 10 days and we were very confident that he was in good hands. We could tell from the photos and videos that he was happy and had fun playing in the yard. Thanks Carrie!”

“Jayden and his partner were truly amazing with my 100+ pound high energy dog Buckets during this 4 night boarding session. Easy communication, accommodated some personal requests during the booking process. The stay was calmed with Jayden's updates including occasional photos and videos that kept us comfortable knowing that Buckets looked genuinely happy and loved. Definitely going back.”

“Kara was took such good care of Seven! She sent me regular pictures and I could tell Seven was happy and comfortable, and he was very relaxed when I picked him up. Kara was also kind enough to accept to board Seven on a short notice which really helped me. Thank you so much Kara for being so kind with Seven. We will come back next time we're in Waterloo!”

“Deborah-Lynn is simply amazing! She provided lots of updates and photos throughout Eddie’s stay at her place (4 days) and he had a blast playing with his friends. It was my family’s first time being away from him for an extended time so we appreciated it very much! Her communication was excellent as well, always keeping in touch throughout Eddie’s stay. Deborah also was very accommodating with my travel plans which required an early drop off and late pick up time. Thank you Deborah-Lynn, we will definitely be going back!!”

“Wafa provided great care for Billy and sent lots of pictures while we were away. When we left, Billy was still on a medication and this was handled well and we had a very healthy and happy cat upon our return. I would definitely book with Wafa again!”

About: Both myself and my partner have owned and loved dogs since we were ten years old! Between our childhoods and our current dog, we have played large roles in the training, care and play of 10 different dogs, as small as 4 lbs and as large as 100 lbs. The dogs we had growing up were a mix of rescues, adoptions and breeders, so we are comfortable with all different temperaments, sizes and breeds. We are also quite used to dogs who shed, drool or eat lots, so we are ready to host your pup no matter what they are like! We are also active leash walkers living in a very walkable and dog-friendly neighbourhood, so your pet will have lots of exercise during their stay. Our puppy is quite friendly and small, and will be quite excited to meet yours! There are no children, cats or reactive/aggressive dogs in the home. Our house is also puppy-proofed, so there are no safety concerns regardless of your pet's age, breed or size. I am currently out of work and enrolling in full-time online school in the fall, while my partner works a full-time day job from home. This means that both of us are home full-time, with enough flexibility to ensure all our guests are getting the attention, care and exercise they deserve! Most of our day revolves around our puppy currently anyways, so adding more dogs into the home will be a simple schedule adjustment. We have multiple crates and beds available for your pet's relaxation, a variety of food/water bowls that are regularly cleaned and sanitized, and an open living/dining room space for the dogs to roam while constantly being supervised and played with. The dogs will have a large variety of toys to choose from, and treats will be given only with client approval to ensure all dog's dietary needs are being met. You can expect your pet to receive lots of attention and exercise, while remaining in an environment designed and furnished for your pet's safety.
“Eden and Jacob took great care of Frankie for the weekend while we moved houses. Would definitely recommend and plan to use them again, looks like our pup had a wonderful time!”

“It was the first time I used the sitter for my dog. We left our dog with Adam for four days. Adam is a great pet sitter! He is very friendly and communicative. I received the message about my dog every day, along with photos. My dog looked very relaxed and pleased during her stay. I highly recommend Adam for his service. I will leave my dog again with Adam whenever it is needed.”

“Camilla and Steve did a great job. It was my 1st time leaving Ace with someone else and I was nervous about it. Over the three days period they kept me updated with photos and videos without me asking which was nice. They have the perfect setup at their place and backyard to accommodate pets. I highly recommend them and will be using their service again.”

“Had a great experience with Jana and our 14 pound shihpoo. Jana is kind, attentive and responds quickly. You can tell she is a genuine pet enthusiast who has a wonderful setup in her home for you pup to feel safe and provided for. She took our pup on lots of long walks and made sure he had everything he needed.”

We have used Daniella twice now, and we have had such a wonderful experience both times! She is very quick to respond, reliable, and so accommodating. She was flexible with an early drop-off and a later pick-up, which was incredibly helpful for us. Our dog absolutely loved her and was so happy and comfortable with her. She also kept us updated throughout the stay by sending pictures and messages, which gave us peace of mind knowing he was doing well. We highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again in the future. We’re so happy we found her!

This was our first time using Rover, and with a 7 month old crazy aussie puppy too. Samantha was fantastic, spent all day with him and got constant photos and updates. We we're confident we didn't have to worry, and he will definitely be back next time we need a hand! Highly recommended as first time users with a puppy.

Cindy and Marc were absolutely incredible taking care of my sweet girl Maya - I can't say enough good things about them! They were able to help me out with a last-minute booking request when I had to travel for work on short notice, for which I was so grateful, and Maya was taken care of with such love and care I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Cindy sent lots of pictures and updates, and it was lovely to see how well she was fitting in. I should mention that sometimes Maya has separation anxiety from me with sitters, and she was so comfortable in their home that this wasn't even an issue. 100/100 and I will definitely be booking with them again in future! Thank you so much from both of us xoxo

Brittany was very flexible and great with Jade! She went above and beyond to keep Jade happy and comfortable and Jade settled in right away. Daily photo updates were amazing and put me at ease that Jade was in the best care. I strongly recommend using Brittany’s services, I will be back with Jade the next time I go away!!

Aparna took great care of our lil girl Olive. She gave us consistent updates on how Ollie was doing with photos included. We were a little hesitant leaving Ollie with someone with another dog, but Mazy and Olive turned out to get along well. Would not hesitate to book Aparna again.

Tulsi had a great and fun time with Rick and Sara! They took care of everything including meal times, specific nutrition requirements, gave us regular updates and pictures :-)!!! Rick and Sara have great pleasing personalities which put Tulsi at ease immediately. Thank you both ☺️❤️

We had a great experience boarding Uno overnight. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that gave us peace of mind. Uno was well cared for, taken on walks to the park, and seemed happy and comfortable during his stay. The home environment felt safe and welcoming, and we really appreciated the attention and care given to him. We would definitely recommend this service and would be happy to book again in the future.

Olívia, was available at short notice and she found a place for my puppy Charlie. She kept me posted about him and gave Charlie an amazing time for the 2 days he stayed with her. You can tell be brief moment when I met her that she is a dog lover. She is definitely my first option in town to take care of Charlie when I need.

Bo was taken care of with the upmost kindness and professionalism. I was concerned leaving him for the first time however he felt right at home and settled in quickly. Jana also sent me regular updates of their fun outings! I would definitely recommend Jana for your pet!

Chutney had a wonderful stay with Huang and her family! It was clear he was treated like part of the family and had a lot of fun with the sitter’s dog and young children. Photos and videos were provided throughout the day, so it was reassuring to know he was well looked after and enjoying every minute. Thank you for giving Chutney such a great experience!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
