Hi! I’m Behnaz, a licensed veterinarian from abroad with over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience and 6 years working as a veterinarian. I’m currently studying for my Canadian licensing exams from home, which allows me to provide full-time care and attention for the pets I look after. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments — including puppies, senior pets, anxious dogs, rescue pets, and pets with medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health concerns, and creating a calm and safe environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I truly love getting to know each pet’s personality and routine, and I always try to make them feel at home while keeping owners updated for peace of mind.

Behnaz is one of our favourite sitters and she just hosted our dog for two weeks. She took excellent care of her and ensured she got exercise tailored to her rehab program, had her medications and appropriate enrichment. She was very conscientious about details from the right amount for the weight loss diet our dog is (sadly!) on to monitoring her for other health concerns. We feel so much at ease when our dog is with Behnaz and would strongly recommend her. We even drove from out of town before a flight just to make sure our dog was in the beat hands for a long stay. Thank you for the love and care !
Behnaz took amazing care of our dog during the week long stay. She was very communicative both before and throughout the visit, which gave us real peace of mind. Our dog has diabetes and requires insulin twice a day, and she handled everything in a very professional and responsible way. It’s clear she genuinely cares, our dog was happy and comfortable with her the whole time. We would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet boarding.

Schedule
I currently study from home while preparing for my Canadian veterinary licensing exams, so I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home. This allows me to provide lots of supervision, walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I truly enjoy spending my time with animals.

I live in a clean, quiet, pet-friendly apartment near parks and walking trails in Waterloo. I do not have pets or children at home, which creates a calm and low-stress environment for visiting pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, routines, medications, walks, and any special needs. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I make sure every pet feels secure, relaxed, and cared for while staying with me.
A typical day
A typical day includes regular walks, playtime, enrichment activities, cuddles, and lots of attention throughout the day. I try to match each pet’s energy level and routine — whether they enjoy active outdoor walks, quiet companionship, or extra play and mental stimulation. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel comfortable knowing their pet is happy and doing well.
